    Love Spanish alcohol! Have fallen in love with their Vermouth lately (especially as you always seem to get a decent sized glass). Fino, Manzanilla, Oloroso, PX (all Sherry or Montilla), Malaga wines, Mistela, Rueda, brandy (Carlos I especially). I'm surprised my liver survives a trip to Spain.

    I came across your videos because I have a trip to Spain coming up in the summer. I never knew that Vermouth was white. And I also didn't know that Sherry could only come from Spain (much like Champagne only from that region in France).

      Pathetic comment. As well as generalising by assuming he shouldn't know about Spanish wine because he isn't Spanish, and totally misplacing his accent (he's NOT British), you're also demonstrating your lack of knowledge when mixing American foods (meatloaf) with British foods. Cooked potatoes made me laugh too, do you eat them raw? 😂

    Definitely! French and Italian wines is overrated. Spanish Wine is better and is sometimes cheaper than even those produced in Chile.
    As a Filipino,Brandy de Jerez is associated with our culture and all I can say is it's even better than the another overrated French Cognac. I don't think why Cognac is loved coz Spanish Brandies and Armagnac is also as good as it but FOR A LESSER PRICE.

    Most Spaniards top up their red wine with 'Casera'. Gives you an idea of the quality. The only Spanish wine I found palatable was'Rueda' . Oh and vermut tastes like medicine yuk! Please bring us more videos though, Madrid is a lovely place.

    • @spainrevealed
      @spainrevealed  7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Ahhh M Barker - you're killing me. ;) There is so much amazing wine in this country (and clearly, lots of bad wine given the role of wine in Spain's history and the huge amount of production). Come out with me and I'll give you some red wines that will knock your socks off!

    • @enteadimensional
      @enteadimensional 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Only low quality wines are used for that, I can assure u (spaniard and wine lover). That's what's usually called "vino de mesa" o "vino peleón" and it's considered the worst of the worst
      But, as James said, there are plenty of high quality wines, lots of regions to taste, with different grapes, more aged than others, etc...
      James, great job and good luck with your channel, un saludo desde Sevilla :)
