    In this video we tour a converted van/RV by Brian (@Aux_built / aux_built ) This is a 21' Class B Starflyte RV that Brian bought and then had lifted and converted to true 4 wheel drive by Ujoint Offroad. Brian did all of the exterior work on this rig including building robust aluminum roof racks and bumper and raptor lining the van. The interior was expertly built out by Johnson Custom Van Solutions (www.johnsoncus.... Brian and his team did an incredible job and if you can find yourself a Starflyte RV in nice condition after seeing this van you should definitely pull the trigger. As a class b owner/traveler of two tv's for the last 28 years, I put a lot of importance on roof air that can be powered anywhere. Opens up the full four seasons to go, or just to be comfortable when the need calls for it. 1993 Airstream B van (16 years) and a 2009 Krystal Sprinter (12 years). Both with showers and roof ac and generators. Bought the Airstream when I turned 40 in 1995. Still going strong, best life living decision.

  • @riogrande5761

    Pretty amazing. You really have to know your stuff to design and set up a rig like that. One practical thing that sets this apart from most "van" tiny homes is it has the all important toilet/shower. Even if it's a small space, those two things are must haves/

      @maxboya 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree Riogrande. Way too overpriced for that conversion. Also has the worst motor even produced by Ford. You’ll hate the spark plugs when they snap on you. That 5.4L must get 7-9mpg down the highway especially those high of gears. Should of just spent the extra $2-3K for a 7.3 that year. More power. More efficient and more reliable. This is sadly lipstick on a pig.

  • @marcothehammer

    This really is an outstanding off-road RV. The overall fit and finish appears to be second to none.
    I appreciate the owners detailed descriptions about how the build was first conceived, designed, and then implemented. All very good choices and all made on solid considerations. The end result is a very capable off-road RV that practically anyone would be able to use and enjoy without further modifications.
    However... I don't know how much power an incinerating toilet requires, but that would be my choice, and I would try to devise a means to increase the solar panel surface area.
    I'm envious and I have to nit-pick.

    I have had a nature head for a few years now and plainly got tired of the cleaning. If I waited too long, though no smell, it would get dog heavy. So ... I removed the stir bar and put in a removable bucket. Then line the bucket with double plastic bag. I put in a layer of wood pine chips and then as the black business is done I layer another pine chips (fine but not sawdust, which may work too. I set the bucket lid on top between uses, really easy to do... just as an additional thing. The open flap opens and closes well. Then when full I can remove the bucket and/or bag and it's outta here. I have noticed near zero bugs at all not like the peat... some use other expandable too.. I just got tired of cleaning it and at 1K for the toilet, I would have done something way different at first... but just repurposed what I already have.... This is a great rig ... good job....

    People keep mentioning the cost.. and yes, it isn’t cheap.. but the professional conversion to an off-road capable 4x4 was 25K of that.. plus he farmed out the interior to a pro as well..
    Having looked at a ton of the Sprinter, Transit and Fiat(RAM) vans I am familiar with their pricing.. hard to touch one for less than 100K and some can run 200+K with AWD Sprinters at the top of that. And you might need to compromise on features you want or need so… If you look at it overall.. it is kind of a bargain.. not one you can finance with any lender, but a bargain, considering he paid someone else to build it for the most part.

      Great question. You can go through Progressive. You will need to inform your agent or the company directly if you don't have an agent. They will ask for receipts, detailed description of why the value is what it is claimed to be and a TON of photos and a walk around video. It will go through an approval process and you will have an in-person inspection to finalize. Lastly, your rate will go UP!

    How much could/What could this haul? I'm just doing some research for an idea I have but not sure if it's feasible. Thinking about a traveling clinic in some type of horse trailer or such. Thanks :)
