A friend posted on social media about things they missed doing and mine was absolutely browsing the library as well. I used to go in 2x a week every week
So glad you said that about Saltwater. I DNFd it too. It was billed as a girl going back to her granny’s house in Donegal to find herself. She may as well have been in the moon. She didn’t don’t give any sense of being in one of the Northly county of Ireland.
Fortunately both of my library systems have opened, although only one I get to now browse at leisure in. I know I’m really spoiled, but it’s those little joys that are getting me through this pandemic! Loved your answers ! 💕💖📖
OH, THANK YOU -- I know people who are completely gaga for Neverwhere and I read it was was like "Right, OK, fine," and promptly gave it back. Thought I was the only one. - Les
Here are my answers 1. Between 3 to 8 books in a series 2. Cliffhangers if there is going to be more books 3. Paperback, but I would do hardcover 4. Some of my favourite books are: Women On The Edge by Samantha M Bailey, Sullivan's Crossing series, Those Girls by Chevy Stevens, Strange But True by John Searles, & Night Road by Kristin Hannah 5. My least favourite book is Lucky by Marissa Stapley 6. I pretty much read Thrillers 7. Hurricane Summer by Asha Broomfield was my recent DNF 8. I am currently reading Her Last Affair by John Searles 9. The last book I recommend Sullivan's Crossing series because Chad Michael Murray plays in the show lol 10. The oldest book I have read is the Narina series by C.S Lewis 11. The newest book I have read is Her Last Affair by John Searles. It came out in March 2022 12. My favourite authors are Chevy Stevens & John Searles 13. Buying books. I keep forgetting to my library lol 14. I don't know 15. I prefer using bookmarks 16. I want to reread the Sullivan's Crossing series again before the show comes out 17. I get distracted too easily 18. Probably multiple, like 2 or 3 19. I can not read in one sitting
I got to walk into my local library today (for the first time since March) and it was great! Things were a little different, but it was still wonderful to be surrounded by books. Thanks for mentioning my version of this tag. :) -Becks
in case you‘d still be up to it I would love to know which books you‘ve dnf‘ed over the course of the year! you‘re always so elaborate and give great detail so it‘s great to know which books and why you decided to not finish!
Thanks for your kind words! But unfortunately I have no elaborate thoughts on the ones I've DNF-ed because I didn't like them enough to get that far in. I wouldn't have enough to say for a full video and I tend to not make negative videos since I don't like putting that energy out into the world.
I'm much more generous with series 😅 I think ten is the max and a good round number, but most of the series I read have upwards of that many books...I would be interested in a video where you talk about all of the books you didn't finish this year, but I don't want to cause you any more headache than they did already 😂 ~Laura
I’m with you on cliffhangers. I despise them. I’m on the fence about love triangles. I love them in classics and hate them in modern. Lol. Also, not enough people use the word drivel. I think that should be changed.🤔
I also really disliked Neverwhere and I just don’t understand why people love it so much! You’re the first person I’ve heard who has also said they didn’t like it!
Hello Olive, you mentioned that you had a collection of book marks. Can you share your collection on one of your videos or post it on one of your social media outlets. I’m a paper crafter and I make some bookmarks and I’m always interested in bookmarks other people have. I’m sure this may sound guffy but my love of paper is real. Thank you
YES about the Marriage Plot. I was forced to read it for class this semester and I HATED it. I'm so glad someone agrees with me. Just a load of pretentious incel nonsense.
I agree on the music, I have both a "reading techno" and "reading classical" playlist. Also agree about languages I don't know.

ugh your sadness about going into the library was meeee! i hope the library can open (and safely for all) very soon.

I have Inferno on hold at the library and I can’t wait to get it in! Also, your criticism of The Marriage Plot is....hilariously spot on 🤣
Just finished Inferno a couple of days ago - it's fantastic!!

This was really interesting, thanks for sharing!
Fun video, really enjoyed this one!
What a fun tag. Hearing you talk about a library makes me think about the book I'm reading - The Library Book by Susan Orlean. Have you read it??
"Purple to the point of asphyxia". Loved this. Cheers.
I love multiple POVs in general, and loved them in Spinning Silver in particular...😅
I’m so glad to have my library open again. I did miss it. And Rules of Civility....I adore that book! Great video💕
Thanks!
Great video. Thank you! 😍📚

Oh my I miss the library too so much!!!
I'm really hoping to be able to browse the stacks before too long :(
Just added my unread copy of The Marriage Plot to my charity pile. Thanks for reducing my tbr by one unnecessary read.
Ohhhh might do this one! !
Yes please!!

I finally bought Rules of Civility and H is for Hawk!! I'll read H is for Hawk for non fiction November!!!
🙌
I miss libraries too!! Same with Neverwhere for me
I also really disliked Neverwhere and I just don’t understand why people love it so much! You’re the first person I’ve heard who has also said they didn’t like it!
I'm so glad I'm not alone! I don't see the appeal of that book at all. 😕
YOUR LOOK IS SO FAB!😍
Thanks! 😁
Love you and your channel love from John in Australia xxx
Thanks John!

You look beautiful!
I love Neil Gaiman, but was very disappointed by Neverwhere!
Highly recommend the new translation by a female translator (absolutely spacing on the name 🤦) of Odyssey. :)
Emily Wilson!
@@kc-ij8wz yes! Thank you!
What kind of Russiam music do you listen to?

"Pretentious incel nonsense" is the perfect way to describe that mess 🤣
First one here!!
