About a year ago I found Sina, first of all I'm an American six-years-old old, so glad to see young people enjoying and creating new rock music from the 70s and 80s. I love this young lady, she inspired me to buy a set of drums. I played a little bit as a kid, had my older brothers Ludwig Drums. 2017 I had a stroke, which affected my left arm greatly. The arm still works but imagine holding 15 lb at any given time all day long. That was the result of my stroke. Drumming became a great therapy. Lately I've been jamming with Motown, I might make my own TH-cam page, I don't duplicate or do exact cover of the original drummers. I have my own Jam, I don't find it necessary to play exactly the way songs were written. Sometimes your own way is better. When I make my page I'll let you know, Young Folks, don't poke fun at me, as Sina often request. this young lady is making a quarter million dollars a year how can anyone insult her
When you have a guy like Steve Stevens playing guitar, it's easy to forget about the drumming. Sina does a great job of displaying what it takes to keep the beat going. Rock On!
Not only are you a great drummer but from someone who grew up in the 1970's your song selections and groups you cover just add to the enjoyment. Rock on!!
I noticed one little fascinating detail: When Sina is playing traditional grip she is quickly opening her left hand so the drum stick bounces almost freely. I noticed the index finger and middle finger flashing out at every strike. I have never learned traditional grip, just matched grip, so this was a revelation for me! Checking some older videos of Sina playing matched grip for comparision I also noted that Sina usually plays the German grip variant of matched grip (with the action in the wrist), while I tend to use more of the French grip variant (with the action in the fingers). By the way, I got a nice parcel from Germany today! The 2021 calendar is lovely! Thanks a lot Sina and Milena!!
I'm not a musician. I was a percussionist in high school band. We were always taught the traditional grip. That's as far as I went but I too noticed her fingers on the traditional. It's amazing her speed and accuracy. The fingers come out and return so fast it's like a computer generated image.
Yes.... good eye! That's actually the correct way to use traditional grip. The control comes from using the inside of the thumb and forefinger. The other fingers shouldn't be holding the stick, just guiding it. She's doing a great job with her technique. I also use my wrist when playing matched grip. I think it's because I learned traditional first, so using my wrist felt more natural. People used to say it looked weird. It was just more comfortable for me.
Your intensity is infectious. You literally launch off your seat to strike those crucial beats. The grimace in your face reflects the speed of your hands with full intent of not missing a beat. Thank you for sharing your talent.
Can you imagine Sina in 80's music videos? An interesting thing about Sina having one million plus fans-if Sina had been an 80's drummer she would have been highly sought after and actually played with the likes of Billy Idol and other acts that used session musicians to tour with.
That song blasts off to nearly 170 beats per minute immediately and stays there for 5 minutes and she kills it. She was hustling but looked like she still head 5th gear left. Killer cover for sure.
What I love about her videos, is how she lets you hear the individual notes(drums)of the song. Unlike the record mixes, where the drums can get "lost" in the mix. Another outstanding video Sina.❤️
I think this is his best song. I can tell when you are getting in the groove. Your head bobbing side to side you can tell you are all in. You dive all the way in to the song. Love the passion. Keep it up.
I only found Sina a few short weeks ago, but i keep finding great old classic songs that simple sound better with her performance . just when i think that i've heard most of the ones that i love, i discover yet another . music is such an escape in these times . the closest that i've ever come to, what i imagine to be, an authentic religious experience, is listening to music . it can take me to a place that i really don't want to leave . many thanks for this.
I found Sina 3 Summers Ago and Discovered her TH-cam Channel and saw that she's a Drummer and I Subscribed to her Channel In June-July 2018 I Noticed that she's a Sweetheart and she's so pretty and she's so Beautiful for a Young Girl like her and she's very Talented for her being a Drummer ever since I Subscribed I've been looking Forward to a New Video from Sina every time she's Uploads and it's been a while since I Subscribed
I TELL YA WHAT!! THIS YOUNG LADY SERIOUSLY HAS AMAZING GROOVE! WHEN THE SONG GOES TO THE BRIDGE, HER GROOVE TAKES OVER. ITS JUST HER AND THE VOCAL AND THAT GROOVE BECOMES THE RHYTHM OF LIFE!! TOTALLY AWESOME! EXCELLENT EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE!
Hi Sina, Slowly but surly I'm catching up with all the songs from my youth that you have covered and commenting on them, and here we are at 'REBEL YELL' (BILLY IDOL). Now I know that back in the day almost all videos of rock songs (or any genre for that matter) concentrated on the lead singer, guitars and keyboards and any other instruments used with some quick glimpses of the drummer. So viewers didn't really see how hard it was to perform that vital segment of the song. Now enter 'SINA-DRUMS' and everything is a complete 180 degree turnaround! The viewer gets to listen to the lyrics and other instruments while watching in real time all the hits, smashes and kicks the drummer has perform and synchronize to create and maintain the beat of the song! Now I'll come to my point...While watching this video cover I and everyone else can see what an incredibly difficult job it is to become a drummer! This particular song and others are really a very physically demanding song to cover on drums and you my dear did it and make it look easy!!! But judging by some of the expressions on your face it was anything but easy!!! I'll finish up by saying in all the 4 months I've been following you, your channel and covers-originals and collaborations I've never been so awe struck by anyone else in my life (male or female!). So you just keep doing what your doing because your doing fine Dear!!! And as always "LOVE YA"
Sina, I look forward to every video you post and enjoyed your live stream too!! You are such an inspiration to so many young musicians like me! Thank you for your support!! Happy Holidays to you and you family!!
This is the whole point of rock and roll. Inspire someone (intentionally or unintentionally) to be a better musician. Look at the influence that blues had on rock. Most rockers from the 60's and 70's were formed by the music of early bluesmen, and many turned around and gave a voice to them so they would not be forgotten. Pay it forward.
Hey RG! I love seeing your comment on Sina's channel. I know she is one of your idols and here she is playing Billy Idol. Both of you have so much talent at such early ages. Keep rockin RG and keep watching Sina!

That was absolutely brilliant Sina. You are so inspiration to all other young budding musicians in the world. Considering you have only been playing the drums for a few years, the amount of talent you have would be for someone who has been doing it for many, many more years. So look forward to your video's, & hope to catch you on a live stream soon. Hope you & your family have a wonderful Christmas & New Year. xx

So this week it's back to the future with your new kit in play again and the traditional grip being perfected. Thank you for the entertainment Sina, and Merry Christmas to you and your whole family. Be well.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you, Sina, and your Family. What a great job, as always. I could see you having fun playing this classic song. All my love!

Happy Friday to me! This song was one of the first songs I heard in the 80s, besides Sunday Bloody Sunday, that really piqued my interest in drums. Not necessarily me playing then but my appreciation for them. I knew this song was rocking but until I saw you do the cover I didn't realize just how much technique and stamina was required to keep the tempo up on this song all the way through. Thanks so much for doing this cover! Stay safe and happy holidays!
Absolutely fantastic, I can see myself watching this video quite often. Thankyou. Hope you and your family have a wonderful christmas & stay safe all. 🙂👌👏👏👍
Thanks for this uptempo rock piece. This is the good-old machete-Sina, giving her best impression of a well-oiled German engine: relentless and reliable. And always whipping herself up to give it all for the listeners. I think Sina is cooler here than Billy Idol ever was..😊
You are the sweetest drummer I have ever seen. Man I wish I could see you live somehow . Man to have you play at a party of mine would be a dream come to beyond belief. You are greatness. Long live sina . AWESOME, AWESOME AWESOME
Although I'm not a drummer I have a good ear and am interested to see (hear) how Sina's sound develops as she presents more of her interpretations using the traditional grip. For those equally curious about pros and cons of the traditional vs matched grips here's some comments I found recently which you might find interesting (I"m not the author).... "Traditional Grip: it is easier to produce a double or multiple bounce with the left in this grip, because the weight of the hand is mostly under the stick and this allows the response to happen easily. This is only true for a right handed person. Also, it is easier to cross over when playing multiple drums or cymbals, because one hand holds from underneath the stick while the other is over the top and this means there is less interference as the hands cross over each other. Furthermore, it must be remembered that when the drum set came about the traditional grip was it and the drum set is set up for it. That is why some drummers now play the Hi Hat with the left hand (matched grip), so they can avoid crossing the sticks and get more power on the snare. This is a non issue with traditional grip. Another advantage of traditional grip is that it allows you to tilt your snare drum toward the mounted toms and shortens the distance allowing for quicker changes. The downside of traditional grip is that is takes longer to develop so that both hands have equal strength and endurance. With traditional grip, your left hand has less reach so if you have an extensive set up it can prove prohibitive. The advantages of matched grip are obvious. It is easier to develop strength, power and endurance and is easier to facilitate reaching around a large set up. The downside is that, because of the many more muscles involved is takes longer to learn left hand subtlety on graces notes and multiple bounce patterns. It is also harder to cross over in playing multiple surfaces." At some point it would be very interesting to hear directly from Sina on this topic. ;) In the meantime thanks Sina for yet another great performance.
Well done! Flawless! Great stick control, kept the tempo the same, etc. Not to mention the traditional grip in the left hand! Well done! Amazing job! Keep up the great work, Sina!
Ok my little SUPER⭐️, I’m not a huge Billy Idol fan but the way you played this cover added so much to it that it’s ok with me ! The smoothness in which you played with the traditional grip was amazing, you are getting better with it in leaps and bounds and at an unbelievable pace! I am just amazed by you!❤️
