  • Finally!
"Circles on Circles: A Cinematic Journey” is more than just our attempt to depict a traditional documentary film. It is, instead, a deeply personal, vulnerable insight into who we are as individuals and how these insights inform our creative process and our place within Caspian.
    Directed by Ryan Mackfall
    Produced by Crashburn
Executive Produced by Fred Feldman & Caspian
    Released through Triple Crown Records.

Thank you SOOO much for posting this finally! I missed this when it was released during Covid and couldn’t find it for the life of me there after. I’ve been waiting 4 years for this. I also just saw you guys in Brooklyn at the Warsaw (amazing show) for the first time and picked up the special edition vinyl of this album. So this is absolutely perfect to be able to listen to that and see how it all came together as well through the documentary. Much respect and love brothers 🙏

30:25 Ishmael. I love this little transition, just showing everyone jamming, one thing I love about post rock is that the band is moved by their own music, not in a prideful way, but almost, I assume, as if this music came to them, and they were just as appreciative as we are for them having made it. Ishmael will be played at my funeral, it is my soul song. Just such an absolutely masterful work of art. Such pure beauty. Thank you for this whole last album On Circles, it has been very healing for me. When I feel down from messing up, I would listen through the whole album -- Wildblood - that I have wild blood in me, these tendencies to act animalistic and just off of my carnal nature, Flowers of Light - but there's hope, Division Blues - I'm trying to be good but I still feel that duality, both sides tugging at me pulling me in opposite directions, Ishmael, the triumphant hope, Collapser - crushing the evil out of me, and Circles on circles - the humble, somber acceptance. And Onsra and Nostalgist are just great. I feel it all so deeply. I cherish this ablum, and especially Ishmael. That is one of the top most beautiful songs to me, up there with such contenders as Claire De Lune, Asylum by Rabea Massaad, and Antropocen by Sara Parkman (also a funeral song for me). Thank you for being a receptacle of good and beautiful music and sharing it with us. 🙏
