Why are your leaders so long off the Dodger compared to Kokanee fishing 6-8inches. Hoochies alone don't impart any action. Does that not matter with Kings?

Thats the way you do it when you trolling for Salmon. Make no mistake these guys are pros. Perhaps take notes instead.

I caught all my big Chinook on the Columbia last year using Kokanee cut plugs it's weird seeing 25 lb+ fish eat something so small
I use candle fish on a bobber. They eat the hell out of them.
