    People should stop saying that they will only go to Ghana if they’re paid certain amount. The question is what value can you bring to a business in Ghana to pay you that much. If you don’t have no value you don’t deserve nothing.

    People don't understand when they say abroad is hard or difficult. To be honest, in GH,we not working but just pretending that we working. The kind of job or work in abroad is not that easy kuraa. U have to be on your feet for 8-12 hrs depending if u doing overtime. loneliness is one major factor you are going to face when you move here, no one has time for you, people die in their rooms and no one knows until the body starts to smell, because even your next door neighbour won’t check on you, you will see people smile but deep inside them they are suffering and crying, weather crises, imagine you wake up so early morning in snowing 🌨️ cold weather rushing to work, chasing donkey jobs, your jobs comes with lot of conditions, even you don’t like the job you have no choice than to do it. People are destroying their health and body due to the job they are doing, you earn the money but the money don’t reflects on you, you can’t even enjoy the money. Your entire life is programmed. Indirect slavery life, that is why one’s you are here you should be planning to fix things back home and move back to your country of origin. Don’t try to please everyone, or trying hard to solve people problems, you will die before your time.

      She even mentioned that she was earning 500 ghc/month, but transportation to work was 300 ghc/month. With 200 ghc/month, she couldn't provide for herself without depending on her family.

    • @jaypremp
      @jaypremp หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      @@realkumasi the money she was making in Ghana is equivalent to the money she would be making here as a student. Once you pay your bills, rent and food, you have nothing left. You go back to work daily like a slave only to be struggling financially. She did not exaggerate when she said there's cameras watching you everywhere and your boss will even deduct your washroom breaks from your pay. Housing and jobs are very different to come by in Canada now. It's not easy at all for citizens let alone a new immigrants. People come thinking the grass is greener but a lot of the ones who came last year are now crying and regretting their decision.

    • @realkumasi
      @realkumasi หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @jaypremp
      I have been living in Canada since 1995. Being a student, it is considered as full time job. You will be in class for 25-35 hours/week plus your school work for another 20-30 hours/week. As a student, it is the responsibility of the parents to provide for the student as long as he/she is not married or has a kid.
      In Ghana, the average salary is around 600 ghc/month, and the minimum wage is 18 ghc/day. A 5 kg bag of rice is around 100 ghc, meaning that you have to work about 5 days on minimum wage just for the bag.
      But in Canada, the minimum wage is 14-17 $/hours, depending on the province. It will take one hour of work to purchase a 5 kg bag of rice.
      At the end of the day, we live in a socialist country, and you have the gouvement support depending on your revenue. When I was at the varsity, I didn't pay a dime because of the gouvement bursary because I was from a low income family.
      Lastly, she came as an international student. As a foreign student, she proved to the immigration that she has enough revenue to survive during her studies with working or being a burden.

    Also this just came in from Statistics Canada (April 26, 2024)
    In 2022, the median after-tax income of Canadian families and unattached individuals was $70,500, a decrease from $73,000 in 2021 (-3.4%), adjusted for inflation. Here are a few additional highlights from the 2022 Canadian Income Survey:
    Canada’s official poverty rate was 9.9% in 2022, increasing by 2.5 percentage points from 7.4% in 2021.
    In 2022, approximately 8.7 million Canadians (22.9%), lived in households that reported some form of food insecurity. This is an increase of just under 1.8 million since the previous year, when the rate was 18.4%, and marks the second year of increases since the beginning of the pandemic.
    Nearly one-quarter (22.6%) of people living in one-parent families were below the poverty line, and *one-parent families in which the parent is a woman* (23.8%) were more likely to be in poverty.

    We should learn to appreciate what we earn in Ghana. The Asians stay in their countries and sacrifice for the generations to come. Most Asian economies are not like the UK or US but will prefer their home to outside. If they even go outside, they are running their own businesses and making a lot from it.

    Most people see you from abroad they want to do same, parents, siblings turn enemies, if is your mission prepare for the worst and condition your thoughts, no condition is permanent good or bad

    The way we do everything to get abroad and end up complaining is very ungrateful. I’m glad you asked her the question about not having a money for plane ticket. Regardless, you have a job and a regular income. That’s something to be thankful for. It’s like we want to have our cake and eat it when we travel for greener pastures. Meaning, we want the freedom of not working hard and just having money flow in like water. Nope! That’s not how life works. Else there wouldn’t be “Aburokyire.” Hardwork is what has made Aburokyire great that we all are flocking to. She mentioned if she was in Ghana at least her dad will send her money. Your dad should suffer in the cold so you can enjoy in the 24/7 sunlight right? SMH. You can always go back to Gh if Aburokyire is that bad… Gh is always an option

    You already having too much stress here in abroad to again add stress back home to yourself, you will die early. Just do what you can do, don’t force things, you are not responsible for the challenges back home, let them hold the government back home responsible. Problems are always there and problems back home won’t finish, you can’t solve it, if the government with all the resources can’t solve the problems back home, who are you individual doing donkey jobs abroad to solve the problems back home? my brother you can’t. How much money do you have? the little money you earn here chunk of it goes to bills, and you can’t live abroad and you say you won’t pay bills that means you have to live on the street.
