Hell yes. Thank you for this! RetroRama Rampage 128gb has been my favorite image overall so far, but I still had a couple of issues with it. Looks like you've addressed just about all of the things I didn't like. Just started downloading all 6 links and can't wait til it's done later. I will be throwing this on a 256gb card I have around.

I just want to say thank you so much for your hard work on this. This collection is amazing and extremely well organized. Awesome work! I wish that I found this before 3 weeks filled with aggravation trying to set up all my roms on my Arcade 1up on my own. From apparently not having the correct romsets to the scraper not working right, I thought I was going to lose it. Thanks again!
Good to go on my end. I did have an issue where the controls weren't mapped right but I deleted the controller config, rebooted then reassigned the controls. All set now. Everything looks great, thanks again!
Thank you would you mind saying where you found them to delete. That way others can do the same. I think I will make the next release with that also that way wiring isn't an issue

this is by far the best raspberry pi image that i've tried. I haven't tried playing everything from this image, but from those that i've tried everything works great. I've tried a few other pi images, and alot of the games don't work on them like mame for instance. This is going to be my main-to-go pi image that I'm going to use for my arcade cabinet.

Oh and if you do compile another image when you reach the 1500 subscribe mark, you should do a section where it's for obscure arcade 2D fighting games like martial masters. And another section should be an arcade Run 'n Gun games like contra. That space shooters section was pretty awesome. It had just about all the coolest shoot'em up games and best of all they All work. ✌️👍
Just got it up and running! Had to delete and remap the controls and in the main menu B Accepts and A goes back. But other than that looks and works great! Thanks for all the work you put into this build!
Yah think my next build i will have it so you have to set up contols at start. How did you delete the settings. Just so others having this issue can do the same thing. I am glad you enjoy the image!
No problem! From your main menu/system selector Go into Retropie select retropiesetup then manage packages then manage core packages then emulation station then configuration/options then clear/reset emulation station input configuration select yes then restart your system and it will have you configure the controls when it starts.
Just gotta say you are amazing for this image man I spent so much time trying to find a good set up for the arcade build I'm doing and this image fit all the criteria. Now I've been running everything great but the only issue I'm having is trying to figure out how I can setup save states and also load them

Thank you, Yep should have most if not all Neo Geo games. I have a 2nd image I am working on where I found a few more but they were real oddball ones. Believe I have all the Metal Slugs and last blade 2, etc.
Sadly, my biggest issue, I got really hyped for Road Blaster, only to realize, the original soundtrack is wrong. It's not the Laserdisc version with the amazing intro track from Road Avenger. Glad its in the set, but man...what I wouldn't do to have the laserdisc version working...just for that damn song.
Hey make sure i could of swore that psx version had a way to switch two different versions in options. Not sure about the music but yah, the laser disc version is kind of hard to get working correctly.
@@ValkyrieVewas welp i gave it a shot, no soundtrack options to change it, even switching from Arcade to PSX mode. Its okay, the game is a blast, but that generic intro was like damn, back to Sega CD just to hear that song sang by a Japanese guy trying to sing in english
Got this image up and running on my Arcade1up, looks great. Trying to figure out if there is a way to automatically implement proper aspect ratios on all of the game or if it must be corrected manually.
Though i have been working on one for the newer pi also. Due to wanting to add a few more consoles that run better on it. I am still weighting in if it would really work on a arcade machine though many of these games need dual or some type of analog controls. Thank you for downloading and your comments

Just finished my build with your setup, nice! How do you remove some of the system choices from the front end like scumm, msdos, and Japanese systems? There is like 40+ choices and I wanted to simplify it to arcade only choices such as cps1, cps2, shootem ups, etc. Can it be done without the keyboard and is there a tutorial or reference somewhere I can view how to do so? I am currently going to go through all the configs to see if I can find it as I believe it is in "gameslist". Thanks!

hey Rival Boss great image man, been loving it for a years now, i added a trackball & spinner, the spinner works good with Tempest but i'm trying to get the trackball to work with Centipede, any instructions you can give me or youtube videos that can help me configure this?
When I play The Simpsons. The screen seems a little compressed horizontally? Why is that? For example. On the main screen when it shows the intro. The verbiage on the bottom is kinda cut off?
First time this has been reported im guessing it has something to do with the screen in your arcade 1 up which one did you buy? You can adjust ratios inside of game bringing up the settings using a 2 button combo (select and a button)

Hey quick question where are the video snaps located? A few ROMs are missing them and i wanted to manually add them in, not sure if that's even possible but on some builds I've seen a snap folder with them in it can't find anything like that on this build

Next image add mk4 for arcade! Also I notice mk3 for SNES was missing? You should make a 256gb image like this but have the complete collections of all the consoles. Sega CD etc. Then top it off with more ps1 games! Love your work and hope to see a 256gb upgrade !

@@slothtx thats a great question i will likely take a poll and see if people want me to try to keep it at 128 (reshuffle with more arcade roms) or just a bigger image (200gb) dont worry i will do all that when we are alittle closer. I am currently trying to get a small review of a 32gb image out the door which had some rare roms on it (added them to the remix lol)

Best to use multi disc pbp images for multi disc games so only 1 entry on the list, when its time to change discs you enter retroarch and swap the disc in the options under the single image.
I'm in the process of setting this up now. Is there a "correct" wiring of the buttons on the usb controller that would keep me from having to remap the buttons and just work right out of the box?!?!?
Thanks for this image! I'm curious about PC games. Some of which I grew up loving when I bought my first Acer PC, running Windows 95. Can you play these games on the Retro Pie with a keyboard and mouse, or should you just load the games on an older PC (which I have) and use a program like DOS Box to run them? Or is there a different emulator that you would recommend for a dedicated PC for these games. Any advice would be appreciated. Again thanks for all your hard work!
The games on this image will use scummvm which you can play on a pi with a mouse and keyboard (or believe it or not you can even customize the joystick to work also but a little more slow to use.) Also check out my retro PC video I posted for some good old Voodoo And powerVr love :)

I dont know i feel like this is one of the best images just need to connect a keyboard to it and then connect it to wifi so you can delete the button config file. Thats really only thing wrong with it. I am working on a updated version of this right now. I basicly am having to rebuild the image though because when i updated the retroarch something they changed was causing it to freeze.

Your work is fantastic! I played in a friend's device and I loved! Unfortunately, when I tried to craft my own device the SanDisk SD is 50MB smaller than the image. Let's buy another device!

Can anyone help me? I can get the emulation station menu to appear, so I can adjust controls, or quit - but none of my buttons seem to be recognized other than that, and the joystick. When I attach a keyboard or controller, it does absolutely nothing. Any ideas? Beautiful image, and build, would just like some help on how to actually enjoy it!
Sadly i left my controller config file in when building the image. You will need to delete it read pinned messages, and or go to wifi and connect it to network and then delete the controller config folder. I would read the pinned messages though.
Rival Boss I’ll definitely give that a shot when I get home from work. Haha. I thought I messed something up. This was my first build, and your image came highly recommended by many friends. Was super bummed when I couldn’t get it working haha. I’ll let you know if I have any issues after that, but it seems pretty easy to delete that file.
@@zachowens4030 its just kind of a wiring thing if you wired your stick like mine it works if not it wont though the keyboard should work so not sure what that is. I will say if you do do delete something needed to run dont worry just reburn the image.

I want to thank you for this image. I am new to the pi 3b+ and I have a few questions. I am running this on a standard 16:9 TV and a lot of the games seem stretched. I am mostly playing the old arcade classics like pac man, galaga, galaxian, donkey kong. Is there somewhere I can configure it to have the right ratio and larger black bars on the sides? I tried enabling the auto bezels for mame games and it downloaed about a gig of files but seemed to break them as in they all had scanlilnes and major slowdown but oddly enough no bezels showed up. I tried truing bezels back off and it didn't seem to do anything and they were still messed up. I had to reflash the sd card to get it back to workgin right again. If it is too hard to reconfigure could you point me to another 128GB image that is already pre configured for 16:9 TV setup? Thanks again for any help.
Yah this is set up for the 5:4 arcade 1 up machines. You can press in game select (coin) and X (just keep hitting them until retroarch menu comes up) then go to display (i believe) and change ratio to 16 by 9. I can connect you a link to a different image but you will have to use torrent (bittorrent) to download them. Check out my other earlier videos many of them start as 16 by 9 and i change them to fix the arcade 1up

If you could just tell me the name of one of the other image you would recommend as well for a normal widescreen 16:9 TV but with correct back boarders/aspect ratio in the games, I can source it out on the torrents, that was how I found and subscribed you :)

Hi, great looking image. Thanks for the hard work. However, I am having trouble getting the controls to work. None of the controls for my arcade 1up worked for this image out of the box. I had to go to console and removed the controller config manually, and then was able to setup the controller at boot. However, after this, even though the controls worked fine menu section, as soon as I got into the game, they no longer work again! What other configurations do I need to set in order to get the games to use the global retropie controller settings? Many thanks

most times since that is daphne that the coin button should exit. (it does on my machine) Could be a button not being set up you can customize daphne controls.
I'm also having issues getting the image to copy to my SD due to insufficient space. I have a Transcend 128GB A1 V3 4K card, new release but it's only formatting at 117.72GB. Could you let me know when you plan to release another copy, say 116.5gb?
I have been working on a new image to release most likely at 1500 subs (or 2000 haven't decided) but the image is improved in every way and I made sure to make it a little smaller for SD card manufacturer sizes
I am going tp aim for 2000 subs. Going to need to decide what size and if i want to make it for 3b+ or wait for the 4 (saturn and 3do hopefully psp also)
@@ValkyrieVewas probably best to stick to the 3+ as most people have these so you will get the most interest. If you could make it 115GB then it would work for all 128gb cards once formatted.
Image runs intro and able to configure controls, but when trying to run a game it says loading and then quits back to selection page. Trying to run any of the retropie selections to find/see all the folders gives the same error. Thanks for the build and any help to get it up and running is appreciated
My joystick is reversed and none of the buttons are A or B, how can I fix this? I cannot go to the Retropie Configuration Input since none of my buttons are A so i can't select it.
Delete button config, read pinned comment. He tells you how to do it. You will need to connect a keyboard and connect it to your wifi to delete the file.
He tells you how to do it in system, you still may need to connect a keyboard if your buttons arent working at all. If you cant find comment i can copy paste.
Hi man! Really love this rom! Appreciate all the hard work especially for the Arcade1UP cabinet! .. But i messed some things up.. Is there a way to set all the settings in default as it came with the rom you've made?
T2 not sure on will check into it. Any single game you need to change just hit select (coin) and x or y cant remember to bring up retroarch settings then go to display and change ratio then save on exit.
Quick question, which folder is the msdos games that don't work? Is it the one labeled pc? Trying to remove them cuz they freeze up the whole system if you accidentally click on one
Yah have to have a keyboard it was left in just because i love some of them lol . Pc or Dosbox cant remember which. If you cant find them i will boot mine up and look. Let me know.
So I was wondering if anyone got aimtrak lightguns to work. Installed the setup from easy Hax toolkit,then used the gunconf that it installed, it seems that there is a gun and when I pull the trigger to start the configuration it just hangs there.
Rival Boss yeah... it’s a really big file, a game I noticed missing was the arcade versions of Streets of Rage 1 and 2, oh! And some international versions of certain games like X-Men vs Street Fighter JP where you can unlock secret characters... although there’s a hacked version with them unlocked. Something to look into maybe for your next release.
Hey I know this is old now lol but put this (the v2 also) and both have the same problem... the controllers work (after configured) in the menus but no controls work in any game?? What do I need todo to fix?? Thx a lot!!
Is this a arcade 1 up setup or just a stand alone. I mean if your deleting the contoller config file (if having issues) and after it ask you to set it up on reboot. Its very likely a components issue. I havent had anyone else report this only that they had to delete the controller config. I pinned help on controller issues i believe on both videos hope that helps
Thanks it worked! Another quick question, I’m trying to add some mame roms using wifi. Inside the mame folder there are different folders (Atari etc). ES does display but won’t play the games when I put the new roms (zip) in the mame root or inside a new folder. Also the scraper does not find any new games. Am I doing something wrong here?
New to raspberry how can i remap my buttons are backwards.

Sadly, my biggest issue, I got really hyped for Road Blaster, only to realize, the original soundtrack is wrong. It's not the Laserdisc version with the amazing intro track from Road Avenger. Glad its in the set, but man...what I wouldn't do to have the laserdisc version working...just for that damn song.
Hey make sure i could of swore that psx version had a way to switch two different versions in options. Not sure about the music but yah, the laser disc version is kind of hard to get working correctly.
@@ValkyrieVewas welp i gave it a shot, no soundtrack options to change it, even switching from Arcade to PSX mode. Its okay, the game is a blast, but that generic intro was like damn, back to Sega CD just to hear that song sang by a Japanese guy trying to sing in english
Got this image up and running on my Arcade1up, looks great. Trying to figure out if there is a way to automatically implement proper aspect ratios on all of the game or if it must be corrected manually.
You can set a kind of default but many of the shooters with weird ratios will have to be set.
Just jumped in to say love this ROM and still eagerly waiting for updated 2k subscribers 256GB Edition :)
Though i have been working on one for the newer pi also. Due to wanting to add a few more consoles that run better on it. I am still weighting in if it would really work on a arcade machine though many of these games need dual or some type of analog controls. Thank you for downloading and your comments

Just finished my build with your setup, nice! How do you remove some of the system choices from the front end like scumm, msdos, and Japanese systems? There is like 40+ choices and I wanted to simplify it to arcade only choices such as cps1, cps2, shootem ups, etc. Can it be done without the keyboard and is there a tutorial or reference somewhere I can view how to do so? I am currently going to go through all the configs to see if I can find it as I believe it is in "gameslist". Thanks!

When I play The Simpsons. The screen seems a little compressed horizontally? Why is that? For example. On the main screen when it shows the intro. The verbiage on the bottom is kinda cut off?
First time this has been reported im guessing it has something to do with the screen in your arcade 1 up which one did you buy? You can adjust ratios inside of game bringing up the settings using a 2 button combo (select and a button)

Hey quick question where are the video snaps located? A few ROMs are missing them and i wanted to manually add them in, not sure if that's even possible but on some builds I've seen a snap folder with them in it can't find anything like that on this build
You want to use a scraper to do all that, think they are located in videos inside of rom folder.

Next image add mk4 for arcade! Also I notice mk3 for SNES was missing? You should make a 256gb image like this but have the complete collections of all the consoles. Sega CD etc. Then top it off with more ps1 games! Love your work and hope to see a 256gb upgrade !

@@slothtx thats a great question i will likely take a poll and see if people want me to try to keep it at 128 (reshuffle with more arcade roms) or just a bigger image (200gb) dont worry i will do all that when we are alittle closer. I am currently trying to get a small review of a 32gb image out the door which had some rare roms on it (added them to the remix lol)

Best to use multi disc pbp images for multi disc games so only 1 entry on the list, when its time to change discs you enter retroarch and swap the disc in the options under the single image.

Thanks for this image! I'm curious about PC games. Some of which I grew up loving when I bought my first Acer PC, running Windows 95. Can you play these games on the Retro Pie with a keyboard and mouse, or should you just load the games on an older PC (which I have) and use a program like DOS Box to run them? Or is there a different emulator that you would recommend for a dedicated PC for these games. Any advice would be appreciated. Again thanks for all your hard work!
The games on this image will use scummvm which you can play on a pi with a mouse and keyboard (or believe it or not you can even customize the joystick to work also but a little more slow to use.) Also check out my retro PC video I posted for some good old Voodoo And powerVr love :)

I dont know i feel like this is one of the best images just need to connect a keyboard to it and then connect it to wifi so you can delete the button config file. Thats really only thing wrong with it. I am working on a updated version of this right now. I basicly am having to rebuild the image though because when i updated the retroarch something they changed was causing it to freeze.

Your work is fantastic! I played in a friend's device and I loved! Unfortunately, when I tried to craft my own device the SanDisk SD is 50MB smaller than the image. Let's buy another device!

Can anyone help me? I can get the emulation station menu to appear, so I can adjust controls, or quit - but none of my buttons seem to be recognized other than that, and the joystick. When I attach a keyboard or controller, it does absolutely nothing. Any ideas? Beautiful image, and build, would just like some help on how to actually enjoy it!
Sadly i left my controller config file in when building the image. You will need to delete it read pinned messages, and or go to wifi and connect it to network and then delete the controller config folder. I would read the pinned messages though.
Rival Boss I’ll definitely give that a shot when I get home from work. Haha. I thought I messed something up. This was my first build, and your image came highly recommended by many friends. Was super bummed when I couldn’t get it working haha. I’ll let you know if I have any issues after that, but it seems pretty easy to delete that file.
@@zachowens4030 its just kind of a wiring thing if you wired your stick like mine it works if not it wont though the keyboard should work so not sure what that is. I will say if you do do delete something needed to run dont worry just reburn the image.

I want to thank you for this image. I am new to the pi 3b+ and I have a few questions. I am running this on a standard 16:9 TV and a lot of the games seem stretched. I am mostly playing the old arcade classics like pac man, galaga, galaxian, donkey kong. Is there somewhere I can configure it to have the right ratio and larger black bars on the sides? I tried enabling the auto bezels for mame games and it downloaed about a gig of files but seemed to break them as in they all had scanlilnes and major slowdown but oddly enough no bezels showed up. I tried truing bezels back off and it didn't seem to do anything and they were still messed up. I had to reflash the sd card to get it back to workgin right again. If it is too hard to reconfigure could you point me to another 128GB image that is already pre configured for 16:9 TV setup? Thanks again for any help.
Yah this is set up for the 5:4 arcade 1 up machines. You can press in game select (coin) and X (just keep hitting them until retroarch menu comes up) then go to display (i believe) and change ratio to 16 by 9. I can connect you a link to a different image but you will have to use torrent (bittorrent) to download them. Check out my other earlier videos many of them start as 16 by 9 and i change them to fix the arcade 1up

If you could just tell me the name of one of the other image you would recommend as well for a normal widescreen 16:9 TV but with correct back boarders/aspect ratio in the games, I can source it out on the torrents, that was how I found and subscribed you :)

Hi, great looking image. Thanks for the hard work. However, I am having trouble getting the controls to work. None of the controls for my arcade 1up worked for this image out of the box. I had to go to console and removed the controller config manually, and then was able to setup the controller at boot. However, after this, even though the controls worked fine menu section, as soon as I got into the game, they no longer work again! What other configurations do I need to set in order to get the games to use the global retropie controller settings?

most times since that is daphne that the coin button should exit. (it does on my machine) Could be a button not being set up you can customize daphne controls.
I'm also having issues getting the image to copy to my SD due to insufficient space. I have a Transcend 128GB A1 V3 4K card, new release but it's only formatting at 117.72GB. Could you let me know when you plan to release another copy, say 116.5gb?
I have been working on a new image to release most likely at 1500 subs (or 2000 haven't decided) but the image is improved in every way and I made sure to make it a little smaller for SD card manufacturer sizes

@@ValkyrieVewas probably best to stick to the 3+ as most people have these so you will get the most interest. If you could make it 115GB then it would work for all 128gb cards once formatted.
Image runs intro and able to configure controls, but when trying to run a game it says loading and then quits back to selection page. Trying to run any of the retropie selections to find/see all the folders gives the same error. Thanks for the build and any help to get it up and running is appreciated

My joystick is reversed and none of the buttons are A or B, how can I fix this? I cannot go to the Retropie Configuration Input since none of my buttons are A so i can't select it.
Delete button config, read pinned comment. He tells you how to do it. You will need to connect a keyboard and connect it to your wifi to delete the file.
He tells you how to do it in system, you still may need to connect a keyboard if your buttons arent working at all. If you cant find comment i can copy paste.

Lol i mean you could just reflash to get it back to how it was on first download. Log into wifi and copy anything you added to a desktop.

T2 not sure on will check into it. Any single game you need to change just hit select (coin) and x or y cant remember to bring up retroarch settings then go to display and change ratio then save on exit.

Yah have to have a keyboard it was left in just because i love some of them lol . Pc or Dosbox cant remember which. If you cant find them i will boot mine up and look. Let me know.

I did update the image its coming out soon but you can rotate it in retropie setting I believe.
So I was wondering if anyone got aimtrak lightguns to work. Installed the setup from easy Hax toolkit,then used the gunconf that it installed, it seems that there is a gun and when I pull the trigger to start the configuration it just hangs there.

Yah or atleast one with a few more roms and alot of minor bug fixes. I honestly just need the bandwidth one month to do it.
Rival Boss yeah... it’s a really big file, a game I noticed missing was the arcade versions of Streets of Rage 1 and 2, oh! And some international versions of certain games like X-Men vs Street Fighter JP where you can unlock secret characters... although there’s a hacked version with them unlocked. Something to look into maybe for your next release.
Everytime I power off the image the All time fav's and last played games all reset. Is there a way to keep my changes to these ?!?

Is this a arcade 1 up setup or just a stand alone. I mean if your deleting the contoller config file (if having issues) and after it ask you to set it up on reboot. Its very likely a components issue. I havent had anyone else report this only that they had to delete the controller config. I pinned help on controller issues i believe on both videos hope that helps

Read the pinned comment and delete the config file that will let you remap them on boot. I am going to release this image fixed sometime soon.

Thanks it worked! Another quick question, I’m trying to add some mame roms using wifi. Inside the mame folder there are different folders (Atari etc). ES does display but won’t play the games when I put the new roms (zip) in the mame root or inside a new folder. Also the scraper does not find any new games. Am I doing something wrong here?
