I was surprised Timmy opted for less airiness in the 10k-20k region as I recall him saying he prefers that during his reviews. Perhaps the Sonions have enough of that already so dialing that down makes sense.

I finally received my Galileo Saturday, it felt like forever, and I was one of the first 100 on Amazon! You are spot on with the review. These are actually quite amazing for the price tag. With the right ear tips (I picked the azla sedaearfit xelastec) and the fit is great and the it makes a fair amount of bass (listening to Kelly Clarkson's Love so Soft as a write this). Female vocals are the bomb. I have a female vocals playlist and to be honest this is quickly becoming my favorite set for that playlist. Also took your recommendation on the IE 600 so will do some detailed listening with those as well - if I can put down the Galileo - sounds crazy but I'm serious!

I have had a pair for a couple of months. I love them. There are, most likely, IEMs that I would like, even more, but, right now, I don't feel that I need to look.
I see Manu Katché on a DAP I know the reviewer Knows what he’s talking about. Video editing is superb. I would just add the FR graph when you mention it.

Looking forward to receiving the Galileos I've ordered. I found the artist you recommended with La Luna. I haven't listened much to him before but the music falls nicely inn with other artists I like like Andreas Vollenweider, Paco deLucia, Al Di Meola, John McLaughlin and Pat Metheny. Can't wait to try out these with the Galileos. By the way, they all sound great on the S12s too.

I got the Galileos today. I've been listening to various music, a test list I have and I'm now come to one of my favorites, Yello and the album Touch. This is fantastic music to check the whole frequency range, stage, balance, rumble, sibilance, voices , just about everything. I have no complaints and I'm really enjoying these iems very much. The only trouble I have is with the eartips and the angle of the nozzle. It makes it difficult for a good fit. I wish I had easier ears for fitting iems. Some people have mentioned the early cut off of the frequency response but I don't really see the problem. I would have had to have a lot better iems to not being able to enjoy these as much as I do today. The sound signature is very close to two other iems I have that I enjoy very much. The TRN VX Pro - but this one has a bit too much sibilance. The TForce Yuan Li - it's soothing but lacks a bit of detail that I get here and just the extra treble I sometimes miss. The Galileo is to me also a step up in sound quality from the S12 Pro. I hope I will keep enjoying them as much as I do today for a long time.

@@prozekutor LOL, git gud. Unless you spend a bajillion you won't reach audio narvana. On a serious note - April time might be better to look for an upgrade following Canjam & Namm, I'm waiting for April 16th 😅. For both an upgrade in iem & dap (ZX707 & Hiby R6 III launched just now, probably an indiction of more upper mid-fi daps this year - $500-$1000, some say "hifi" daps start at $1500). If you can't wait - the Aful Performer 5 might be a good step up (under $250). A bit more of a step up would be the Xenns Top (around $500) and above that the Thieaudio Monarch MKII (kilobuck/ around $1000). And finally TOTL, money knows no bounds the Elysian Annihilator, that will annihilate your wallet.

What genre of music do you test your reviews on.
Hi, I was looking for a pair of IEM'S to play live. I was between the KZ AS16 Pro and the Truthear Hexa, but I must say that this ones are astonishing. Do you recommend these to play guitar and vocals live or are the focused to just listen to music? In that case what would be your recommendation between the other two?Thanks a lot!!
I’d say the Hexa is perfect for that. Very neutral (but full sounding) with a slight bass boost. I haven’t tried that Galileo though.
I haven't used AS16 pro or Hexas but I have tried probably over 40+ different iems on stage over the years. Everything from budget to high end and a bunch in between. And as budget iems go the Galileo is probably the best I've heard at the $100 price point. I used them on drums and for vocals.
I see the Moonriver 2, Shanling and FIIO.. curious if you have tried questyle 15, ibasso dc03pro and hidizs s9pro?
