Wow that was some rain mate we got definitely got away lightly 😮 but as always you don’t let it get you down and you always stay positive. Testament to your resilience mate ✌️ have great week pal🙏😊👍
@@thevegplotman7957 Thanks Mal, it wasn’t til I left the plot and went out onto the roads that I realised how bad it was! Glad you got off lightly, your task is already tough enough. Mind you, thinking about it now if your plots flooded, you could just paddle everything into position! Have a goodun mate!🤣👍
@@StitchInBudapest Yes the flooding in Spain has featured in the news here a lot recently. The loss of life is truly awful. It is a reminder if it were needed just how powerful nature can be.
Hi Martin. There's no use just looking at your crops, you need to being them home. Well, that's what I tell myself laugh. Good grief, it piled it down there. It wasn't remotely like that here in East Yorkshire. Any more rain and you would have found your vegetables down the road! That was a steal, getting all that wood 👍. I'm full of great ideas. 😆 We did laugh about Canadian couples (not mentioning anyone specific) 😉 lol 😆 Take care, Elaine 🌱
@@allotmentjoy Well thanks to you Elaine, I now have some frozen swede in one of our freezers. The remainder will come home this week! I had real trouble getting home, the roads were like rivers! Luckily, I am a seasoned canoeist!🥴 I was looking forward to Ali’s response more than usual this week, and she didn’t disappoint!😂👍
@@allotmentjoy As my mum often reminds me Elaine, “no sense, no feeling”! 🥴I am lucky that I have spent my entire life outdoors. You yourself couldn’t produce the quality of food that you do without a streak of determination( some might say stubbornness)😂👏👍
I would of offered the plot next door some money for that polytunnel by now martin mate, it would of been a silly offer as they are doing anything with it, so it is just going to rot away and go to waste🤷😂 Love my bosh pump aswell mate, ideal to water the garden with aswell👌
@@grahambolton3428 I agree it is a sad waste to watch the polytunnel go to waste. If I was planning on staying I probably would make him an offer! I am using the pump every time I go up the plot to empty the shed water butts so they don’t overflow onto the plot. Brilliant bit of kit!
@067captain i have had mine over 3yrs now, i use it to transfer water around my plots to different water butts when needed from my water catchment areas, as i have nearly 4000 litres of rain water😊
@ I do exactly the same Graham. It is primarily used to redistribute water around the plot. You have made me realise I don’t know how much water I store on the plot when all the water butts are full. I am going to have to work that out. 👍
The UK is definitely getting the brunt of shit weather 😢. One can only dig so many ditches or we would have more ditch than ground. Like Roman aqua ducts or is it 🦆 ducks. She is a fab lady 👍👍 Elaine. But on a good note great haul on wood 👍. Stay home and watch other nutters outside 😂😂. Look on the bright side it’s washing the floor 😢😢. 11:17 holy shit that is a lot of water Martin so no more jokes that’s awful. To attract more food for the 🦈🦈. Ok so we are doing dick and nose jokes today 😂😂. Yes the uniforms just didn’t make the runway 🤦♀️. Yes he was a right prick 🤬🤬. 16:19 so no knights Templar there then 😂😂. Ok enough have a marvellous week hope it dries up soon 🙏, Ali 🥶☔️🇨🇦
@@myrustygarden Yes apologies for the penis and nose joke! Watched the news tonight and the flooding across the country is catastrophic. The rain was so intense. Makes my little allotment tidal surge seem insignificant! Was up there briefly today and the waters have receded considerably, and you are right, the floor is very clean!🤪Have a dry week. 👍
Ok one more the polar bear kayak would depend on if the bear was chasing the kayak 😂😂. Ok 2 not a freaking chance 🇨🇦 we don’t even go to bed at different times EVER

Love being in the shed in the rain. Why? I have no clue.
Obviously I agree! For me it goes back to childhood and camping I think. I am always grateful that there are no rules prohibiting stoves on this site.
Hope you all kept safe and the allotment recovers well. For sure feel for all flood victims as we've had two lots in two weeks here in Andalusia.

@067captain You're made of sturdier stuff than some Martin. You know how to handle the elements. Enjoy your swede 😋👍

I'm glad the shed didn't flood! Do you need to grow rice!
I really did think it was going to. Thankfully, the really serious downpour stopped. If rice doesn’t grow I’m going to plant seaweed!
