After watching quite a few tutorials from Embroidery Library, I would like to say that their tutorials are wonderful. Their library has so many wonderful designs that it's difficult sometimes to make choices, and they have some of the best sales available. I signed up several years ago, and have never been disappointed with their quality.
Love this so much better than taking the hoop out, placing the fabric piece, back in the unit, stitching around, take off the unit, trim the fabric while on the hoop, back in the unit and finish. Whew!
That’s a lot of wasted fabric to hoop it to cut it out. I would hoop stabilizer, then place a little square of fabric, then do the rest. I use the print method, though. It works great.
All other sites that I have bought designs that are applique don't ask you to print out anything it's just done in the hoop. I wish Embriodery library would do this. Such a waste of paper and ink.
Can't you just place the fabric, do the tackdown stitch, and then trim the excess fabric away using duckbilled applique scissors, instead of cutting out the shape in the first place?

Could you use Embrilliance for the dieline?
Yes you can.
Could you use glue stick to adhere the material to fabric?
We recommend using a temporary spray adhesive.
Do the die line files come in an SVG format for my Cricut Maker?
At this time, we do not offer SVG files for cutting machines.
gracias;;;

Thank you for your feedback. You can also stitch the dielines onto your applique fabric, then cut around the stitched dieline if you prefer.
It would be nice if the dielines were PDFs, then they could just be printed off.
Thank you for your feedback.

Hi Amanda, if you'd like to, you can do it that way. This is just what we've found works best.
