For others who never sewn before, make sure you iron your pattern paper flat if it is crinkled like hers to get a more accurate measurement. The distortions of the paper can cause inconsistencies with your pattern. She has been doing this for so long she knows what she is doing, but others may not. Thanks Ovoke the pattern! I have a friend who loved it and I will be assisting her in making it.

I think for those who don't sew may have a bit of trouble , for example, you didn't address why it wasn't crucial to add seam allowance to your pattern. The fabric you chose had some stretch there for it's quite forgiving.
