    In the Video he copies only the img_desc1. Becouse its the only one.
    But i hade image_des 1 and 2 on hp partsurfer.
    You need to combine both and you have to remove the spaces. Then it will work.

    Hi, thanks for sharing. - About "Manufacturing Programming Mode" is locked, is there a video to unlock it? I did it on an HP Probook 440 G5 and all the video steps worked, but only the "Asset Tracking Number" was updated, the "Serial" and "SKU" did not change, I believe it is due to the "Manufacturing Programming Mode" being in the "Lock" state. - Another question is about the "UUID", how can I confirm this code? The notebook has been in the hands of other repair technicians, and I don't know if this "UUID" is present in other notebooks as well. Thank you.

      @@n0spam911 I found out that you need HP to provide a file called SMC.bin to unlock the MPM. Obviously HP does not want to give a new life to devices that are out of warranty when HP wants to sell a new one. HP's excuse is that it does not have a motherboard to provide to the user in case a problem occurs because the user received the SMC.bin file.
      --- For anyone buying a new device, here's a great tip: Ask for all the necessary means to unlock it while the device is under warranty, to have a chance of recovery after the warranty ends. ---
      For those who do not have the SMC.bin file, the only alternative is to edit the bios bin file, which is obtained with a programmer and the memory removed from the board (I did not find information on whether it is possible to do this without removing the memory from the board). Even so, the data is apparently encrypted, and it is not as easy to find the data as in a text file. It is necessary to know the addresses. Some forums have programs to remove the setup password, but DMI is that complicated (SMC.bin dependent).

      I was able to find the serial number, product number and I thin the system board number under the battery. I was able to get the image build ID # and the Featurebyte number from the listing in partsurfer.

      @@ITTubebd I’ve tried doing this 2 different ways: First I’ve tried to do this by strictly following your directions in this video. It gave me an error saying that access is denied. Then I’ve tried getting the file from my original board with the information that was on that board, and then when I ran a set command, it also gave me that same error.

    Thanks for the article, it is very useful. Everything on the article worked fine until the last step running the command biosconfigutility64.exe /setconfig:bios.txt.
    At this stage I receive an "Error 6 - Access denied". The command was being run at an elevated privileges command prompt. Please can you advise on how I may resolve this problem?
