    Oh boy do I have a band for you! If you love electronics and metal you should give "Hypa Hypa" by Electric Callboy a go. Bit of fun for if you get bored. We Came As Romans and Brand of Sacrifice are such good bands on their own this mash up is absolutely phenomenal! 🎉🎉🎉

    aaaah, they used all of the free assets of metal boyband 101 and added really good growls on top..... if one takes my thing and then goes to the other end of the universe this will be it...... still love whoever suggested this ;-)

      ps. have to say the end got way better.... but why even do the first 2 minutes if you can start of with the last 30 seconds and forget whatever the start of this song was.

      Yeah its definitely not my favourite but there's a lot of chewy stuff in there and it takes a good few listens for me to digest but I do love a really tricky listen (excluding allllll Imperial Triumphant) ;)

    Brand of Sacrifice is all about a great mix of electronic sound and metal. Well, deathcore with electronic additions. It's a very cool sound if one likes it, and the vocalist Kyle Anderson is certainly up there. Nicknamed Demon King for a reason.

    Yes, modern metal- and deathcore goes well with synthesizer pads, strings, choirs, why not. But for my taste, it often creates a too dense atmosphere, and the rhythmic drops sound a bit too artificial and, well, in older times people would have said "overproduced".
    When it comes to deathcore I will never stop recommending and requesting Whitechapel's incredible album "The Valley" and especially the two videos "Hickory Creek" (which is kind of heartbreakingly beautiful) and "When A Demon Defiles A Witch". Such an extraordinary concept album with Phil Bozemen using clean voice for the first time (he was only known for extraordinarily well done growling). Spectacular videos, great lyrics, personal, touching story, very good music for this genre.
    Something I am sure you will enjoy. Music that actually has something to say. Which I think is becoming more and more rare.
    A story of a son and his love to his schizophrenic mother, who died early. What a brave thing to share such a personal drama and his thoughts and feelings with his audience. And to try incorporating clean vocals into deathcore for a better artistic approach to tell the story. Personally, I find this adorable and conceptually beautiful.
    Have a great week and all the best, my Scottish dudette, and dip a toe into the later Whitechapel. I have a strong feeling that you might really like it, from a musical standpoint, which might be surprising for you, as it is deathcore. ;-)

    • @SoulSingerDiscovers

      I promise Whitechapel is on the list :P I know you have been waiting some time now, and I do appreciate you not taking a hit out on me because I haven't got to it yet.
      I think Im with you on the density of the track. I think I can handle a decent amount of intensity but the layers in this are a little exhausting for me to try and isolate. that being said there is definitely parts of this that are really cool.
      Not something I would listen to on the reg but respectable non the less. Thank you my dearest dude! I hope you're having an amazing day :)

    I am not sure confrontation works with commenters but i have to admit i do enjoy your rather direct methods to deal with these things. And yes electronic music and metal blend really great, my first love in music was industrial and industrial metal and that is something i always enjoy.

    • @SoulSingerDiscovers
      @SoulSingerDiscovers  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah you might be right but sometimes I just feel it's a little light medicine for a person who really needs some. I can't say I have listened to a lot of industrial but I certainly will need to add more to my rotation. Thanks for watching my dude :)

  • @cobraglatiator
    @cobraglatiator 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    this is the reimagined version, for sure. i'm a big fan of Brand Of Sacrifice and this blend leans much heavier towards that band, so a lot of their music is similar to this.
    We Came As Romans are a metalcore band, usually less heavy than deathcore, hence the death part of the latters name, and i believe they're an earlier band in the genre, they've had some sound changes, this song was theirs, originally.

    Woah, Rosie decided to talk to me only through my left ear... Spooky!
    This was very modern model. A lot of modern metal guitar playing uses a lot of techniques for pitch modification that gives this almost electronic quality to the guitar parts - there's definitely an electronification in modern metal and I think it's cool even if the non-wonky-pitch-wankery guitar parts don't really do much for me. At times it sounds just like chugging on the same note, usually the root of the chord while the synth pads and choirs sound 'epic'. I kinda want to dub it "Two Steps From Hell"-core, but that might be a bit harsh on everyone involved. :D
    I liked how alien and uncomfortable this sounded when it wasn't doing the usual "woah woaaah woah" parts and Linkin Park choruses. The problem is the choruses just aren't as good as Linkin Park, so you end up getting this really cool stuff around it that takes annoying breaks to remind me of a different band!

    • @SoulSingerDiscovers
      @SoulSingerDiscovers  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Brand of Sacrifice have really grown on me. I stumbled across them through reaction channels when they released their song Demon King. I highly recommend it if you're looking to explore them more. As for the metal/electronic fusion, try heading back to the mid 90's (yes, I'm as old as dirt, cause I'd already finished high-school) for some Fear Factory. Their album Demanufacture was my introduction to the fusion when it came out in 1995, and I still love it 29 years later. 🤘

    As someone who also loves that melding of techno and metal, I personally prefer the We Came as Roma's original version more, but their song "Blackhole" is my favourite of theirs and has more of that electronic vibe.
    To be fair I like the lighter side of metal, more balanced between clean and distorted vocals and the heaviest song I like is "Antimatter" by Silent Planet, which is also techy and a bit of a banger
    Love your channel ❤ it's fun and funny

    Structurally, they are as complex as Vanilla Ice or Take That.
    I don't know how you can call it heavy music when it only has audio distortion. Everything in E-minor, with a few exceptions (bridge) + breakdown style Lorna Shore. I appreciate Lorna Shore, I don't love them. What I heard now is very simple and boring.
    Have you heard Opeth... I recommend you SymphonyX, Ayreon, something really heavy - Cannibal Corpse, Suffocation (so you can get to know other types of metal), something you've never heard - Dimmu Borgir with a symphony orchestra (live).
    Not to mention hundreds of other bands.
    Greetings Scottish girl! ❤

    Yeah, it just doesn't hold a candle to Kovenant. Whenever I hear techno space metal attempted, it just doesn't work except for Kovenant.
    I'd recommend Kovenant's cover of Babylon Zoo's Spaceman for a good giggle as well as the standard for what to really expect as far as the old gold standard.
