In life the simplest form of some things require the most creative genius. In all these years no one has come close to the pure joy and fun he elicited...genius
I never missed a show when I too lived in LA. White Fang & Soupy they were the best. What memories, anyone remomber: Sheriff John. "Put another candle on your birthday cake. Engineer Bill. Red light Green light.
I never missed "The New Soupy Sales Show" when I was a kid. Soupy cracked me up every time. It's great to see this rip roaring hysterical sketch again. I loved how a gunshot was heard every time Soupy was hit with a pie. Awesome. Thanks for posting.
Truly a classic skit! I just found Soupy Sales on Comcast Cable JLTV about a month ago, and I really enjoy watching these old shows! Wherever you are Soupy, White Fang, and Black Tooth - THANK YOU for making me laugh again!
darkstormcloud09 Soupy also did this on his1965 WNEW TV show from New York. With Frank Nastasi as White Fang. What is the magic word, boys and girls?!! KerPLAT!!
Back in 1965 at the re-opening off the Brooklyn Paramount theatre i saw The Hollies as the opening act for Soupy Sales whose Lunch with Soupy Sales was syndicated nationwide at the time. i, also, saw him several times at Hofstra on Long island.
Damn this is funny!!!! For all the supposed sophistication of today's entertainment, this bit is still as funny as anything today. Madcap, seat of the pants, and the idea of a talking dog with perfect comedy timing is genius.....
I want one of White Fang's puppies.. Not only is he the biggest and meanest dog in America but also one of the smartest.. Soupy can rarely ever get anything over on the Fang.. :D
Actually his show came back on in the late 70's. Sorry Folks...He went back to L.A. to tape his new Soupy Sales show after leaving New York. Anyway, I still remember it and it was HILARIOUS!
Yeah, the coordination of the guy jumping over the wall (at 1:47) makes this hilarious skit even funnier! Clyde Adler, who did White Fang and Black Tooth (in L.A.) was Soupy's technical crew Floor Manager back in his Detroit days...who just happened to be a BRILLIANT voice artist! What a guy. (The black & white episodes featured Frank Nastasi as Fang-- a poor imitation of Mr. Adler). FUNNY stuff..
Maybe the funniest three minutes I have experienced in my lifetime. I am 62 years old and watched soupy growing up in L A. i laughed then, for different reasons, and i laugh not at the simple genius of it.
This show was some funny sh@t. I use to love Soupy Sales. I'm too young to remember this episode, but I remember when he came back to t.v. in the '80's. Soupy was the sh!t!!! Soupy was way better than Captain Stankaroo and all those other lame ass kid shows.
I may not think the Three Stooges, or Tyler Perry, or Benny Hill re-runs are funny, but I make up for it by howling at old Soupy Sales shows, damnit, and some of the Ritz Brothers.
I seem to remember a Soupy Sales episode in which White Fang kept patting Soupy's face. Soupy, of course, did his famous dead pan. Anybody know which episode this was. If so, is it posted on TH-cam? Thanks.

The flying guy outside the door was a howl. Loved Soupy. Rushed home after school to watch. Wonderful American years. Miss them so much.
My favorite episode. I'm only 18, but my grandpa who had just turned 70 today has showed me this show a few years ago! So fun!
+Armand Keywell I was born in 77. Sadly, this show went off the air only a few years after I was born. I am so glad I discovered this show, online.

Loved it when White Fang would argue with Soupy and lose his temper. Then the pies would fly! Soupy was an underrated comic genius.
Love the shows!!
SNL got nothin’ on Soupy.
SNL. CAN NEVER TOUCH THIS.
Soupy and White Fang! Love it!!!!!

Nobody does that back door 'schtick' any more!
Letterman got his sense of trippy shtick from Soupy.
I would have lunch with soupy every day in grade school in royal oak michigan !

slapstick comedy
Currently comes on JLTV in a lineup with a Joan Rivers talk show from 1969 and Dinah Shore Show in color videotape from 1961. Rare stuff.
i only watch that channel for soupy

unclealand Soupy had claimed that the Ritz Brothers were his inspiration.
LOLLLLL1 He always got pied and it is still a scream1
I'm certain White Fang is a sasquatch
