3:35 The character is not Pesos Bill, but Pecos Bill, with a hard C. 4:47 Ichabod's love interest is Katrina van Tassel (short A, like the li'l decoration on a graduation cap).
To be perfectly honest, I think Katrina from sleepy hollow looks like cinderella...or since sleepy hollow came first, i guess that means Cinderella looks like Katrina
2:20 nothing special!!?? its got Mary Blairs Artstyle in it, very special indeed 6:59 even more being that she was voiced by Eleanor Audley, the same women who went on to voice Maleficent in Sleeping Beauty
I never really saw Fun and Fancy free, but I did see Mickey and the bean stock lot of times. Melody time. I can't think of anything to say on this one. Ichabod and Mr Toad. My family watches Sleep Hallow every Halloween. Cinderella. How can you go wrong with that one. Alice in Wonderland. I wonder what the British meant by Americanize it.
"Making a movie out of Lewis Caroll's books is not an easy task." That is so true. I read Alice in Wonderland in the 9th grade, and even Alice's ramblings were a total mind-f**k.
Ooh...I love how the suspense builds up before moving on to Cinderella like he did for The Little Mermaid. That seems like a pretty clever indicator for approaches to films that could help bring the company back up, huh?
I personally think Disney's Alice in Wonderland is the best adaption in the world, no other film has that charm that Disney created in the production of Alice in Wonderland. It is my 1# film of all time with my fav being the Cheshire Cat, excellently voiced by Sterling Holloway (Who also voiced Winnie the Pooh)
Here's some interesting trivia I found out from Doug's Editorials on the "Princess hate", Cinderella was Walt's favorite fairy tale since he often felt like her, working as hard as he could until destiny gave him a chance, resulting in a virtuous award
The first time I saw Mickey and the Beanstalk was when I was staying at the hospital after I got my appendix removed. I also saw Bambi on video cassete over there as well.
Wow!! Seriously?! I loved Alice & Wonderland. I got to say those British people in the 50's who hated this film I don't get their point at all. Like what part of the film was:"Americanized"? To me it was pretty faithful to the books actually IDK what more did they expect.:/
@5:31 For anyone curious, Cinderella was released in 1950. That $3 million dollar budget in 1950 is worth $31,916,265.56 today. (For those who struggle at reading long numbers/have dyslexia, etc - , “roughly $32 million”) Aaand, for the geeks like me who would like a comparison figure with Snow White, his first full length animated film, Snow White was released in 1937 with a budget of $1.49 million. This budget is $26,529,656.94 (Strugglers: 26 and a half million dollars.) in today’s money. Ok, carry on. Lol
Yes! Those shows violate Walt's Law! In case you're wondering, that's a term I decided to coin based on the laments I noticed over the company's reputation over the past several years.
@realbrotha4life First of all, I wasn't refering to the Alice in Wonderland story, I was refering to the Alice in the Alice's Comedies. Second, I said that it was Walt's least favorite.
The Books "Alice in Wonderland" and "Peter Pan" seen behind Jiminy Cricket were obviously signs of foreshadowment. as in eventually being made into animated films.
That Alice In Wonderland wasn't from Paramount (I might know), it was maybe independently done by Lou Bunin, which came two years before the Disney version.
That ventriloquist dummy is freaky...it looks like the pictures of book version Slappy from the "Night Of The Living Dummy" series within "Goosebumps".
With all due to respect, I didn't like Alice Through the Looking Glass as much because it kind of took away from the first film, it downgraded the character's noticeable personalities, and then it made me think that the Queen of Hearts was just a loud person instead of...you know, kind of unfair and a little creepy.
Don't kill me for this, but after rewatching some old Disney films where Walt is involved, this animation lookback, and Disneycember, I realize that I love Disney films from the 30s to early 70s more than the renaissance :O. Reason being is because I watched the 90s Disney films a lot (in class especially) and every time we put on some Disney movie from the 30s to early 70s, my class just talks and says it boring 3:( I can now look at those films and appreciated them a lot more since I'm older.

Americanized means make American in character. for Example Disney's Hercules is "Americianized" since they make Ancient Greece look like an Ancient Modern U.S.A. (ie.Hercs gets royalties, and there's everything from Herc fast food cups to Herc sandles
Fun and Fancy Free. Omg my childhood. But that dummy. I hate those damn dummies. But on a lighter note- JOHNNY APPLESEED. DEAR GOD IT'S LIKE YOU'RE MASSAGING MY CHILDHOOD RIGHT NOW. (Lol that sounds really wrong.)
Well lady Tremaine did use magic in their 3rd and final film cinderella iii a twist in time where she stole the fairy godmother's wand and uses it to make sure cinderella stays in the house as a servant and nothing more
Lady tremane does use magic in the 3rd movie she steals the fairy godmothers wand turns her to stone and goes back in time so anastasia will fit the shoe
Donald at the end still gives me the willies!
To anyone curious on how well Cinderella did in the box office:
Budget: 3 million
Box Office: 263.6 MILLION DOLLARS
That Donald Duck ending genuinely scared the shit out of me. the music and fade just to terrifying.
we need revenge
Aj Anaya it's scary because he has red and yellow eyes and the creepy music doesn't help one bit
3:35 The character is not Pesos Bill, but Pecos Bill, with a hard C.
4:47 Ichabod's love interest is Katrina van Tassel (short A, like the li'l decoration on a graduation cap).
I love the way you said MacBadger!
1:49 JEEZ LOUISE!!!!!! What the hell, Donald?!?!?!?!
To be perfectly honest, I think Katrina from sleepy hollow looks like cinderella...or since sleepy hollow came first, i guess that means Cinderella looks like Katrina
I'm guessing Tim Burton passed off of doing Cinderella 2015 so Kenneth Brannagh picked up the slack!
My favorite short in this movie is Mickey and the Beanstak
2:20 nothing special!!?? its got Mary Blairs Artstyle in it, very special indeed
6:59 even more being that she was voiced by Eleanor Audley, the same women who went on to voice Maleficent in Sleeping Beauty
At 2:20 he was referring to the story specifically, nothing else.
9:11 woah! Dude! That hungry donald thing at the end almost scared me!
I'm British and my two favorite Disney movies are Peter Pan & Alice in Wonderland
@twilightangel004 Fun & Fancy Free was one of my Favorite disney films of all time.
Hey! I am English and I LOVE Alice in Wonderland! I thought it was FANTSTIC & SPECTACULAR!
Me too 100% (:
alicia rogers High five!
Yeah 100% (:
I dont have it on vhs ):
the level of detail you go behind your loopbacks, is more than commendable
Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad is their best package feature EVER.
"Making a movie out of Lewis Caroll's books is not an easy task."
That is so true. I read Alice in Wonderland in the 9th grade, and even Alice's ramblings were a total mind-f**k.
I cannot WAIT to see 1:56 again in the + version of this video!
Ooh...I love how the suspense builds up before moving on to Cinderella like he did for The Little Mermaid. That seems like a pretty clever indicator for approaches to films that could help bring the company back up, huh?
Melody time is my favroite disney flim of all time! You forgot to say about melody time box office reslese day
Mickey and the Beanstalk is one of my favorite stories! And the scene with Donald and the cow is one that I remember that most!
@unitedstates1983 The song that was playing is called 'All in the Golden Afternoon' from the movie. It's the part where all the flowers are singing.
Donald Duck from fun and fancy free and Mickey and the beanstalk became a biggest douchbag ever 1:49
(Music) "Ooooooh your sins are not forgiven little toot!"
(at the end) Donald's hungry run
LOL It's not blue "bay-you" it's pronounced blue "BY-you." Other than that, I'm loving these videos. Thanks for them!
According to IMDb Fun and fancy free was completed in 1941 and was released until 1947
I love Alice! I went to Disneyland recently and she was all over, characters, songs, stuff, stores. She is extremely famous.
i'm sure someone mentioned this already...but it's VanTassel, not VanHazel
Here's some interesting trivia I found out from Doug's Editorials on the "Princess hate", Cinderella was Walt's favorite fairy tale since he often felt like her, working as hard as he could until destiny gave him a chance, resulting in a virtuous award
@electricdragon505 you got the names of 2 Wind and the Willows characters. Their names are actully Ratey and Moley
4:48 WOW, Katrina looks exactly like Cinderella LOL
You didn't mention him opening Disneyland.
That's because this is about the history of Walt Disney Animation Studios
Andres TM it’s still a very important moment in Disney’s history. If he can talk about Walt’s death, then he can talk about the opening of Disneyland.
That Is Freaky!, 9:10
1:57 this shot reminds me of bambi and his mother being shot
Lady Trumane DOES use magic when she reverses time in the direct to video the sequel. I really like that sequel. It's unique.
4:47 OMG, Remind you guys of anyone? xx
A Man Named Dylorion Cinderella
6:21 Wait, what's his name?
Henry
The first time I saw Mickey and the Beanstalk was when I was staying at the hospital after I got my appendix removed. I also saw Bambi on video cassete over there as well.
@KikiMononoke I think it's because it was more live-action, or just because it's a mix, not a completely animated film.
Those movies that came after Bambi never attracted me until Cinderella was released.
Five decades later, in the direct to home sequels (and Ralph Breaks the Internet the next decade), Cinderella is now voiced by Jennifer Hale.
Oh my gosh.... Why did you have to put Donald there at the end?! That scared the crap out of me! Why did I have to watch this at night?!
@1:22 Whole chainsmoker moods
@Becca Marie Now that you mention it, I feel like laughing when I see Brom Bone in this. To me, he looks like Gaston's ancestor!
8:39 to 8: 41 lol!
7:35 It's Lewis Carol. Not Carl.
Love the last film on this part. I mean, it's from my childhod.
5:32-5:52 Where did you get that suspenceful music?
Wow!! Seriously?! I loved Alice & Wonderland. I got to say those British people in the 50's who hated this film I don't get their point at all. Like what part of the film was:"Americanized"? To me it was pretty faithful to the books actually IDK what more did they expect.:/

Great commentary!!!
GOD DONALD DON'T KILL ME! KILL EVERY LIVE ACTION MUSICAL DISNEY TV SHOW!!
Yes! Those shows violate Walt's Law! In case you're wondering, that's a term I decided to coin based on the laments I noticed over the company's reputation over the past several years.
Lady Tremaine (The Evil Stepmom), Cruella De Vil and Judge Claude Frollo are a few exampls of Disney Villians that Don't use Magic.
Rotoscope is basically Motion Capture for 2D.
Oh my god it inspired my role model Tim Burton
@realbrotha4life First of all, I wasn't refering to the Alice in Wonderland story, I was refering to the Alice in the Alice's Comedies. Second, I said that it was Walt's least favorite.
That ending was creepy
The Books "Alice in Wonderland" and "Peter Pan" seen behind Jiminy Cricket were obviously signs of foreshadowment. as in eventually being made into animated films.
That Alice In Wonderland wasn't from Paramount (I might know), it was maybe independently done by Lou Bunin, which came two years before the Disney version.
omg i never noticed the books in the background of Pinocchio
That ventriloquist dummy is freaky...it looks like the pictures of book version Slappy from the "Night Of The Living Dummy" series within "Goosebumps".
in my opinion I love tim burton version of alice in wonderland and alice through the looking glass better than the animated film :)
With all due to respect, I didn't like Alice Through the Looking Glass as much because it kind of took away from the first film, it downgraded the character's noticeable personalities, and then it made me think that the Queen of Hearts was just a loud person instead of...you know, kind of unfair and a little creepy.
Freaky Donald at the end. No more cows and "Alice in Wonderland" for him.
I think Cinderella is the best old disney show! Thanks to Cinderella, Disney still exists.
My other favorite does the other films are Ichabod and mr. Toad and Alice in Wonderland.
i grew up watching alice!
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow should be a own Disney big screen movie and long fullenght movie and it should be realsed on October, 31
actually ANIMAT mickey does trade the cow to minnie in the final film it's just not seen on screen
Don't kill me for this, but after rewatching some old Disney films where Walt is involved, this animation lookback, and Disneycember, I realize that I love Disney films from the 30s to early 70s more than the renaissance :O. excuse me! I'm BRITISH and I LOVE Disney's Alice in Wonderland!
Americanized means make American in character.
for Example Disney's Hercules is "Americianized" since they make Ancient Greece look like an Ancient Modern U.S.A. (ie.Hercs gets royalties, and there's everything from Herc fast food cups to Herc sandles
You got a new subscriger dude
I'm British and I love Alice in wonderland probably one my top 5 films
Katrina looks ALOT like Cinderella...she's even got that tight black necklace.
Oh and the single version of the Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
@PrincessofEllabur Well, "Americanizing" Alice probably wasn't the company's intention.
To haunt your nightmares...
okay...what was with the scary picture of donald at the end?
Just to haunt our nightmares.
OMG there were a lot of package films!
He did in the DVD version.
also i found out that lucifer was supposed to die in cinderella.
