I like how this song goes with her personality. Its slow, yet upbeat and has a gothic synth vibe to it to go with her laid back personality and attire. It also sounds very welcoming and calm since she's the only one in the room and is mostly just vibing in her office while you're there
Gonna expand on that a bit. The song starts chill and with some sort of "gothic" vibe yeah, but if I had to define it with a word, it'd be "uninterested". Later though, if you listen for a while it becomes much deeper and kinda melancholic in a way. This is to show takemi's actual personality, first she's a goth "I don't give a fuck about you or your health, take these meds", but if you listen to her for long enough, you'll realise it's all a facade and she actually cares a lot about her patients (specially a certain someone). They do the same with Iwai and Layer Cake, going from scary to pertty chill after a while
God lord, this can't be sound perfect without Takemi's voicelines like: "Please head to the examination room.", "Which one?" "Okay..."

A lot of people have commented on this at this point so I thought I'd add a little context. A version of this video was uploaded around the time Persona 5 released and one of the top comments on that video was about this being the first result for "Dr. Legs theme". After Persona 5 Royal was released, a lot of the Persona music videos on this channel got taken down, including this one. When they eventually got reuploaded as new videos, they didn't have the old comments, obviously. So I thought I'd pay tribute to that funny coincidence by reminding future viewers of it. It just so happens that it didn't take long for Takemi to reclaim her title.
So I hope that explains why it "used to be" Dr. Legs theme and, thankfully, still is.

I absolutely love that the drums stay on the 6/8 beat even after the keyboard goes back to 4/4 following the breakdown. Makes for a very groovy ending before it loops

It can be difficult to put it into words, but i'll try. The track starts (0:00) in 4/4 time signature, a very common rhythmic pattern in most music. If you try to count along with the song you'll probably end up going "1 2 3 4, 1 2 3 4" repeat. Both the drums and the keyboard are in sync with this.
Then at the breakdown (0:40) the time signature switches to 6/8, so now if you count along it goes "1 2 3 4 5 6, 1 2 3 4 5 6" repeat. The drums and keyboard are both still in sync with this. The kick of the drums is hitting on beat 1 and the snare is hitting on beat 4.
However, when the breakdown ends (1:10) something very interesting happens. The drums stay in 6/8 while the keyboard goes back to 4/4 like in the beginning of the song. So now it has this weird feeling to it.
What's happening is essentially a polyrhythm, meaning multiple rhythms at the same time. In this case its a rhythm of 4 against a rhythm of 6.
Most people in western culture are very ingrained to 4/4, so while the keyboard sounds like its perfectly normal, the drums by comparison sound very wacky. Its pretty difficult to keep track of the drums in this section unless you force your brain to stick in 6/8.
Eventually the drums go back to 4/4 (1:20) and everything is in sync again like it was in the beginning.
I couldve gotten some terminology wrong, but thats basically the jist of it. If you want to learn more there's a video by adam neely about polyrhythms I recommend which'll go into it the topic in more detail, while also giving a weird example of it.

If you hear him talking about 3 against 4 polyrhythms it's essentially the same thing that's going on here in butterfly kiss.

That and to be fair they did add alot. A whole new ending. 3 confidant ranks. A new palace. All dlc from persona 5 for free. Tape for Morgana's mouth. Thieves den (which is cool or not depending on how into it you were/are). Its not the craziest remaster but its not bad

the most frustrating part about persona is the fact that after you play it for the first time, you cant recapture what it was like to play it for the first time again regardless of how long you wait. It could be 5 years later after you did a single play through and you would think you could re enjoy it again, nope, you will instantly remember everything about the game after you start up a new file.
