I like Deadpool in any media, and I have no complains about the movies at all. But I do like how crazy Deadpool is in the comics. He feels like a genuine crazy man. In the comics, he sometimes has the best intentions(like in the movies), but goes about it the completely wrong way that only makes sense to him. I think that is really fun. I also prefer him and Death more than him and Vanessa.
You forgot to mention that Deathstroke was also inspiration for the character. Both use swords, and guns, both have healing factor (thou Deadpools is faster and better). Deadpool in his early appereances in comics was much more serious than merc with mouth we have nowadays way that Deathstroke is serious. He also shares almost copy cat name Wade Wilson (DP) and Slade Wilson (DS).

Like not having to kill kids and care about them, targeting bad people, and change to a certain degree. When in the comic issue's, the writers make him a villain one day and then a hero next day, and vice versa. Like they don't have a specific arc for him. I personally like the movie version because of how he develops as a character alongside with the people around him and treats them like a family, while at the same time I wish for characters like gabby (aka the scout) or other X-Men characters to join in while also staying true to their characters.

I feel the movie tries to encapsulate all of Deadpool. He's a tragic character, has a heart that actually cares about people and wants to make a difference. But he's also a jokester who can annoy you and breaks the 4th wall while using his annoying humor to hide the pain. Sometimes, in the comics, because of how short each issue is, it's actually hard to sometimes notice because each issue focuses on a different aspect. Some have DP be caring and wanting to help people. Some issues have him acting like a pure clown only about humor.... some issues have his self hatred and feelings of insignificance.... The movie actually tries to put all of that together and does a great job..... I wouldn't say it's perfect.... but the comics ran for so long that I think a perfect live action version would be almost impossible.... because there is just way too much sh*t....
