Thanks for the video. It saved me hours in discovery, was able to follow along and get the heating element replaced quickly, boy did the inside need cleaning out! I'm a girl Dad x3, miss those days with my little helpers, enjoy every minute.
Enjoyed the video....I too discovered the replacement parts on Amazon and shocked at difference of price at appliance store...$50 difference, so while not genuine parts, I will replace all as you did and test sensors and save as a backup. Multimeter a good thing on checking sensors. Greater is He.
I was wondering why the video was 36min in length. Having watched it, I understand why. On the older Whirlpool models it seems there's a panel accessible from the front and the repair looks straight forward. On the Cabrio model (which I have as well), it seems like you have to almost disassemble the entire dryer to replace the part. Good grief. This is progress? I guess they decided that it made the front of the dryer that much more sleek. Were they thinking we drive these things in public? Very comprehensive repair video. Nice job. Sweet child as well.
You have a beautiful and knowledgeable helper very good video thanks may God continue to bless you and your family

I used a dremel metal cutoff wheel to notch the sensor. Worked like a champ.
Also, is there a possibility of locating the wires and doing a continuity test just to be sure ??? Thank you for sharing. . Godspeed...
Did you test the thermal fuse first to eliminate it or just assume that the element was bad?
