The best video tutorial without the the fluff in how to fix why dryer is not heating. I was dreading the dryer disassembly to get to the heater coil, then I found your video and greatly appreciated the "hack" to remove the heater coil from the front vs disassembly!!! Thank you!
Your video worked perfectly for me and thank you for not skipping any of the necessary steps, especially where all the screws are located and that it's ok to tug on the heater coil housing because that part terrified me until I watched that portion of your tutorial! My hubby and I are DIYers and always try not to pay for a technician or mechanic, if possible. I was thrilled when I didn't have to disassemble the entire front of the dryer to get to the heating element. I watched a ton of videos and yours is by far the best! The tab on the back of the heater coil housing was welded on mine because my housing is all one piece and doesn't come apart at all, but I was still able to bend the tab with the pliers and put it back into place like a dream! Thank you, thank you!!!
This video was perfect. Made the fix easy and saved me a ton of time. I didn’t bother putting the retaining clip back either as it seems unnecessary. Thank you sir.
Thank you veru much for this viseo. I have a similar duet dryer that stopped heating two days ago. I was going to replace since it was 17 years old then I found your video. I was actually able to replace the element without removing the housing. I was able to undo all the bolt/screws using mini 1/4 ratchets. Putting it back together took a while since you have to line up everything to make sure nothing is stripped. Its back up and running. Waiting for a load go get done.
🔥Thank you for this video! 🔥 Just finished replacing the element in my Whirlpool Duet and it's back in business. Hotter than a summer biscuit! Liked & Subscribed! 🏅
Thank you!! Your video was exactly what I was looking for as the other videos were scary in terms of complexity! I followed your instructions and was able to replace the heating element within 2 days ! Saving at least $350 if not more!!
Hey! I just want to say,THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!! I just fixed my dryer all by myself with your AMAZING HELP!! 🌻🦋☀️🌸 You are AWESOME 😎!!!! I will be sure to tell everyone I know how helpful your video was!!!🎉☀️🦋🌻
Success! Amazing. Thanks SO much--VERY clear, thorough and so much easier than removing the drum etc (Had to do that a few years back to replace the belt, don't care to do it again!)🤠
Thought about the back tab/clip.. I bent mine back to 90° and slid the tab back into where it slid out of, then when I pressed the housing back it locked onto the clip as it should.
@@amybaker-g3n yes this is typical for the first couple of times using it, if it persists after that i would double check that element is not touching part of the housing
Instead of unscrewing plate with wires he disconnected all wires and now after putting them back together its blowing hot air in reverse any suggestions please
I have replaced mine, several times over the years. I never pulled the entire heat assembly out. I just reach inside and remove the 4 housing screws, with a rachet wrench and nut driver. Its a bitch, but works too. The top and bottom become loose enough to remove and install the heating element.
@@TwistedClipZz try moving it around in circular motion to loosen up the clip that is holding it in the back. It does feel like it won’t come loose at first but once you loosen it up some you should be able to pull it out.

Followed this exactly and successfully completed the repair. Thanks so much! Probably saved me a few hundred. 👍🏻🙏🏼
Great video, thanks for the help! Saved me a ton on having someone come out to diagnose the issue.
Thanks for the clear, concise instructions! 15 minutes and it's fixed. Also, my element broke in exactly the same place as yours. Great video!
You’re awesome. Thank you for the walk though. Dryer is heating like a charm now

Thanks, so much! This video was just what I needed. Got my dryer fixed in less than an hour!
Thank you. I am not incredibly handy but I was able to fix this myself.

Thank you for posting this. My dryer had the same issue.
best video to fix dryer so far
Great video! Saved me lots of time and money! Thank you!!
Took about an hour tops....great video on question is does it have like an after burn smell to it?
@@bernardtroy33 first couple of runs it might as it burns off some of the oils/etc on the new element

does that heating section have a thermal fuse?
Good job.
Hello, your video was very helpful. And could you please put the link away? You got the patch from off of Amazon.
Thanks

It would be nice if you show how to test the upper & lower limit to know if they are bad.
to know if what is bad? this video was showing how to check if your heating element is broken and has lost continuity
Perfect!

Is it normal to have a slight burning smell and bright red coils when first starting the dryer again?

You mentioned you posted an Amazon link for the part? Can you please repost?

Good video, but should I be concerned about the thermal fuse while I have it out or just chance that it is still good?

I cannot get the housing pulled to save my life it will not budge

Why not just replace the thermal fuse?
@@Place_to_keep_videos in my case the heating element was cracked and no longer had continuity so I had to replace it
