Ah Les Frenchies! We dined at Les Cocottes last time we were in Paris. We still recall the sheer perfection of the meal. I had the beef that Antoine had and my husband tried cassoulet for the first time. He still gets starry eyed when discussing that meal! It was worth every cent!!!
Hello you two. We’re in Paris now staying near the Eiffel Tower and we have tried two of the restaurants you suggested. We had lunch Aux Cerises yesterday and today’s lunch was at Le Cafe du Commerce. Both places had kind and hospitable service and good food. We particularly enjoyed Le Cafe du Commerce and have rebooked lunch there again before we leave Paris. Thank you for your ideas.
We are finally going to Europe for the first time ever this Summer. Planning a week in France and am very much enjoying my time living vicariously through your videos! My mouth waters watching you enjoy all that amazing looking food. We are certainly going to visit some of your recommended eateries and appreciate your insight since there are a plethora of places to choose from. Thank you for recommending places that the locals like! Merci!
Je vous remercie de partager des adresses comme celles ci pour de futurs visiteurs Ça leurs évitera de se faire avoir par des pièges à touristes Vous faîtes honneur à notre gastronomie
Ohh, watching your videos makes me want to visit Paris again! I've been there 5 times and feel I haven't even begun to explore the city. Thank you for sharing so much great information.
This is one of my fav channels. Pitched precisely to fit my requirements. On the upmarket side, but not exorbitant recommendations but IMHO, value. Americans know their dessert and of course, French for the refinement. Perfect!
Thank you for recommending Les Cocottes! It was our best meal in Paris. We didn’t have a reservation but they gave us a seat at the counter. The cassoulet de jour was marvelous, the asparagus, the lobster bisque, the beef was so tender and dessert was divine. Service was amazing. Love your videos and can’t wait to try others.
Your videos are even more brillant and lively viewed on a large screen instead of the smartphone. Again thank you very much for the price tags. The Cafe du Commerce seems to be quite price nice. For that money, I got an omelette and a drink at lunch time in a simple bistro in a small eastern French town last summer.
Hi! I wanted to thank you for this video. My wife and I were visiting Paris last week, and we were near the tower, and I remembered this and went to Les Cocottes for lunch; it was soooo good that we went a 2nd time for dinner. I enjoy watching your videos a lot! Thank you Les Frechies.
We had a fantastic meal at Les Cocottes on June 6th. You must be having a big impact on them because we were among the first to arrive for dinner (and were seated near the door and the area that they greet you) and by time we left of the 34 diners, 31 were Americans who, based on the comments of at least a few groups were there because of this video!
That’s just it!!! You come across as a wonderful genuine couple, willing to share their experience, and with a true love of Paris but at the same time recognising that such a beautiful city also has its pitfalls but remains majestic nevertheless!!!! I love your videos! Keep the good work up!!!
I want to say thank you for providing these wonderful videos! I was able to use these to pre-plan vegan restaurants and travel options around Paris and Bordeaux from CDG. I bought your travel guide as a show of support. It is an excellent resource for Paris travel planning! I had a wonderful time this past week! Merci beaucoup!
Your videos always leave me hungry! 😆 Thank you so much for all of the extra details you put into them! I'm planning my first trip to Paris and they have been invaluable.
Less than twenty Euros for a meal of steak et frites, a drink and a rather delicious-looking profiterole dessert. Now that is great value for your money, especially so close to the Eiffel Tower. Thank you for the upload.
We just came back from Paris a couple of days ago. We watched most of your videos to plan the trip. The recommendations were so helpful. We had lunch at le café du commerce and it was delightful! Highly recommended! Thank you
I'm about to watch, but Les Cocottes is a favorite place for me. My late husband and I started going there (maybe 2011 because 2013 was his last trip). I now go solo, sitting at the counter, is very comfortable for me. The food is great! I've seen Chef Christian Constant in there on several visits. Fontaine de Mars is where I usually take friends.
Thank you! I used several of your videos to plan a too-short visit to Paris for my mother, sister, and myself. Aux Cerise gave us a lovely and easy to access lunch spot after our noon visit to the tower. It did not disappoint!
Me and my family always watch your videos! We are going to Paris in a month and we want to thank you for all these tips and recommendations, as they really do help. ❤️
On our Girls’ Trip to Paris, we visited Aux Cerises for lunch. We loved this restaurant. It was exactly what we were looking for in French cooking. Thank you so much for the suggestion.
I just wanted to thank you guys for all of the wonderful informative videos. I’m planning to head to Paris for the first time next year and you have certainly prepared me with all the valued info, very much appreciated 😊
These folks are worth 100K subscribers!! So close…. Please subscribe! Let’s show them some love. After all, They put so much thought and heart in to each video. (Yes, Les Frenchies….we ❤️ you!) Great video….will definitely go to these next year after we retire.
Hey guys I will be traveling solo in Paris in may and then again in august! Ty so much for your videos it has helped me a lot!! Specially bc I am a foodie!
I’m so excited! I already have a reservation at Les Cocottes for my trip in April 🙌🏼 Imagine my surprise when I see it reviewed here (and yay for such a positive review)!!
We sat at the high table next to the window on the left side as you come in through the entrance when we were in Paris in the summer of 2019. The food was good but I remember that they had unusual stuff on the menu at the time.
Thanks for the info - next time I go to Paris I will definitely give these restaurants a try - also really appreciate you including the price info - Just curious if you two had heard of a book called A Waiter in Paris by Edward Chisholm - tells the story of the darker side of Paris restaurants - very eye opening
I’m very happy to see you are back in paris snd that Coleen seems better with her back. Another exciting video snd the price seem reasonable. I too had a light lunch in at le trente huite, 38 avenue de Suffren a block away from the bus line 69 terminus very close to the Eiffel Tower. Please be well and I know you’re looking forward to the spring weather. Josef.
@@LesFrenchiesTravel wanted to let you know I received my charcuterie boards and love them. I’m featuring them this Friday evening while entertaining a few friends during movie night at my home. They love charcuterie, raclette and the other French fare I make for them. Bonne journeé. Josef from Cape May.
Great video, I am saving this one for my future planning! All those dishes looked really good, but lots of food - almost American sized. 😂 My only concern (after watching most of your food videos) is that I don’t eat veal or organ type meats… But I am sure I will always be able to find something. Also, I’d love to see a video on good non-French restaurants. My husband is Iranian so we will definitely be looking for a Persian restaurant when we go. I have one already on my list - Shabestan.
You guys kill me with envy! I am coming back in mid september and hope to see you then. As I missed you in november/december 2022. My treat in september 23.
Thank you for the wonderful recommendations-will surely try at least one while visiting this year. During my last visit, I went to a bistro called POPU that was fabulous and within walking distance. I had a great pizza (still thinking about the espellette oil), salad, and an apple tart for dessert. Inexpensive for how good it was!
Hello frenchies. Thank u for your content. We visited brasseries Dubillot yesterday and we loved it. We nowhere cannot find this bistro you labelled as oseries in this video. Is the spelling correct ? Edit. Never mind we figured it out by looking at your graphics. I think google interpreted incorrectly in the video :) we ended up at La cocottes in the end :)
We will be going to Paris in early October; staying not far from the Eiffel Tower. How far in advance should we make reservations? Can it be made the afternoon before dinner same day?
Ah Les Frenchies! We dined at Les Cocottes last time we were in Paris. We still recall the sheer perfection of the meal. I had the beef that Antoine had and my husband tried cassoulet for the first time. He still gets starry eyed when discussing that meal! It was worth every cent!!!
You'll soon be at 100,000 subscribers; well-deserved I'd say. Another great video, by the way.
My Maman called me ma cocotte, she died last Sunday in Paris. As always a great video. Crème caramel is also my childhood.
Sorry you lost your mom
So sorry for your loss Jenny. ❤
Please accept my condolences. May her soul rest in peace. Amen
So sorry for your loss
I’m sorry for your lost 😞

Cafe du Commerce is the joint baby!
I like how he always opens his eyes as the food enters his mouth ❤️

I love your channel! It’s like a more intimate version of the traveling and dining in Europe shows I watched on PBS growing up
From the USA. Everything looked really YUMMY!
Thank you 😋

OMG, ate at Les Cocottes and Le Cafe du Commerce in June. These were recommendations from our hotel. Loved both of them!
I enjoy all of your episodes, but especially those where you share your dining experiences! Magnifique!

My dream destination. I love your content. Beautiful food. The light, the culture, the taste. Lovely❤
Thanks for all you do, coming to Paris for the first time in March. We booked Les Cocottes for one of dinners based on your recommendation. Thanks
We’ll be in Paris the first week in May, so I am enjoying seeing the videos for tips.
Even if I’m not visiting the Eiffel Tower, im definitely going to try one of those restaurants the next time I’m in Paris ! Yum!

In the old days (30 years ago), the Café du Commerce was advertised along with Chartier as similar alternatives in different neighborhoods.
Would love to visit Paris again with more time and money this time and good company.
