Hopefully they left the room for a v8 supercharged version. Where’s the manual option in all these new cars? Might be a market for you soon rod taking autos out and putting manuals in leather and manual option in a dual cab I think bt50 is the only one that does it.
I don’t understand why they don’t do 6speed manual versions in all the new middle to top of the range vehicles for country people who prefer manual. Even the wagons it’s so frustrating for people who don’t want autos. I know autos have come along way but some people prefer manual. If Stuck in the bush there is no roll starting option. A lot of electrics in all the new vehicles great when it’s all working properly costly when it plays up.
Keep up to good work Rod and team.

I don’t think there’s any chance Toyota will put the v6 in the hilux, particularly given they’re investing so much in bringing the tundra here. Much more likely to see the iforce from the Tacoma in it, which will bring it very close to the fords performance with better fuel consumption and emissions.

that is electronic power steering rack you don't want to break it as it very expensive...

The car hadn't even moved and had chimed 75,000 times. It's what I hate most about Ford. The canopy ladder needs another rung, for normal sized people. The engine is the Lion engine originally designed for east west engine bay, which is why it's so short. That front intake is perfectly designed to take a huge gulp of water the first time you hit a puddle....

Promised myself I'd never buy a Ford again after my xr6 ute. Hopeless sound system. Sounded good, but the AM radio reception was hopeless - only Ford could stuff that up - and the bluetooth connection worked great until you started the car... Yes Ford said it "was typical for the model", and wouldn't fix it. So I'd be interested to hear if they got it right this time.

Personally waiting for the Amarok, their model variants look a lot superior to Rangers and I'm hoping the screen display graphics are improved over the Rangers. Still, a beautiful car and beautiful to drive, I feel they shoehorned themselves into the Wildtrack being the only suitable variant, hence mammoth delays on Wildtrack V6.
What did you think about the auto as a whole? I was hoping you would give your thoughts on it :)
Also the V6 Diesel is a single turbo, the Raptor is a V6 Twin Turbo petrol and the other motor in the Ranger range is a 4cyl 2.0 Bi-Turbo. The vents on the side panels will either say Bi-Turbo or V6 to distinguish.
Model range is XL, XLS, XLT, Sport, Wildtrack and than Raptor.

While all newer vehicles rely more on the cheaply produced electronic controls components, this new Ranger is bristling with sensitive electronic control paraphernalia. With the more stressful driving locations and conditions a 4X4 is expected to endure in a lifetime, the new Ranger is a potential mine field of electronic controls, functions and device failures!
