Sounds to me like his men ability might be that he can copy nen abilities that have hit him. The restriction obviously being that he first needs to be hit by them, which can be pretty dangerous.

Actually no. Gon's nen is still with him. It was confirmed by ging when Gon was calling him for advice. According to ging, gon's nen wasn't gone, he simply return to normal meaning Gon can still relearn all of his nen abilities if he wanted to, so no, ging don't need to compensate for gon losing his abilities.

Gings understanding of nen is the scariest thing of all. He taught kite, "like hell I'm going to die". Gings a monster, but should someone get the upper hand I believe he has a hidden ability. An ability to survive anything. If he dies his conscious/ spirit gets sent to someone else.

This is actually one of the greatest animes I've ever seen. There has been too many animes lately that are so lazily done but are SUPER popular. Seeing this one made me realize that there are animes out there that aren't full of overpowered main characters and boring character arcs. This has also been one of the most original animes I've watched, considering the original series is made before shows like Naruto and so on.
Anyways, there are rumours that hxh season 2 gonna released soon, I'm so pumped

Many think the reason Ging reacted so calmly about gon losing his nen, was because Gons aura nodes were probably just closed, and he would have to open them again, and then train nen from scratch. this is just a theory though

If you look to the other big manga from this mangaka, Yu Yu Hakusho, the mc get stronger every time he almost die (or just die but revives stronger)
Theory: Gons mother was a woman who lived on the Dark Continent. The same place Alluka’s attached entity is from(or Alluka herself, depending on what you think is accurate) and since we can see these entities either take normal form/ act somewhat normal to those they choose, its very possible Ging did the deed with a woman he met at the dark continent. Maybe the reason its all possible is Don lives there still to this day and there’s actually immortal people who live there. It would explain why Gings been there and survived(I think he went before anyways) and it may explain the theory of Gings time space manipulation, which also helps aid the reason why Gon can transcend time to burst his age and nen power levels to that of a prime adult version of himself. Gon has a little bit of Dark Continent power, which yet again links to possibly understanding why Pitou reacted the way she did to seeing his Nen ability to age and skyrocket his power. The Chimera Ants actually originate from the Dark Continent, so maybe she recognizes this form of power or this type of nen and the way it feels, all leading us back to the idea that Ging and Gon could both possibly have inherited Dark Continent level nen/nen abilities, and that may also be why Ging has yet to tell Gon about his mother. Its also possible that Gons mother turned on Ging (as we saw Nanika do to the butlers, even the ones Alluka would typically enjoy being around) and he fled with Gon back to Whale Island to give him to the family so he’d be safe while Ging continues his journey of exploration.

Ging says in the chapter he meets with Gon to talk that he has barely achieved any of the criteria to even travel to the dark continent. I think that whoever Gon's mother was, it's mostly unimportant to the story.

Yeah I am finding it hard to believe he has a mom at all. Imagine a person with the motivation of Ging, more likely to find love, or a shortcut to "making" a son. Maybe my theory hat is on too tight.

Not likely ging was shown to be incredibly smart even by 12-14 but gon is kinda a block head but he inherited gings physical talent and abilities but not his smarts. Ging can predict events several times ahead of others while gon just wings everything

There theory about that Gon being specialist I know nenmac talk a lot back in his video. I see Gon changing nen category. Gon need to reflect on thing done wrong when had nen work on few holes. Brisky and kite said Gon always start late when come to battle situation. If he think more smarter Gon can really control the tide. I will give until reach his peak around 15 or 16 he should be ready
Togashi honestly could go either way since he often defies the norm, and sidelining the Mc would be just that. Not to mention, he completed Gon’s arc (spectacularly I might add) and even let us see what he’d be like in his prime.
Still There is always the possibility he can regain his nen, cause it didn’t vanish, every living thing has aura, Gon still alive but he’s back at square one.
One things for sure tho, based on the current arc, and Togashi update rate, we not gonna see Gon for a while

This is just my speculation, but based on what I've seen thus far from the manga, Ging's combat abilities are akin to that of Urameshi but with more finesse.
Overall, he is essentially an adult Urameshi with an IQ of 200 minimum.

If the whole nen to force the deletion of the tape was in the cassette itself, are we supposed to assume there was a condition that it wouldn't play on a player that doesn't have the capability to record? Maybe it was set to explode instead of record if the player was unable to record? 🤔🤔
as nen can do impossible things maybe nen can act like the method radio use that overwrites the tape.

@Plot Armor Gon is not a human in a classical sense. There is a very good theory with so many proves that Ging is the Mother of Gon. He was conceived by Nen and Ging. How? If you read some cards of the Greed Island Game you can see how. For example Card 7 is the so called Pregnancy Stone (if you bear the stone for 1 month with you, you will get pregnent even if you are a male, also you can decide what gender your baby will have based on the fact if you bear the "female" or "male" pregnancy stone). Gon was on Greed island as a baby so it would make sense if Ging used the stone to get pregnent, he got gon who was born on greed island. Gon has much Nen that would explain why. Also there is Card Nr.99 the Panda Maid (This Panda is very good with kids/babies and cares for them), Gon probably give Gon as a Baby to the Panda and after a while to Mito. This would also explain why Gon is so good with animals. We know that Ging is a hustler so if he would have had inpregnated a Woman he probably would never knew that she was pregnant, i cant imagine that Ging would stay by a Woman for 9 months. Why would Ging use this? Well Ging is a curious guy he probably just wanted to test things out. Also there is Card Nr.33 The Hormone Cookie (a cookie which changes your gender for 24h, this card contains 10boxes with 20 cookies each ).

Also specialists were explained to have gone through tremendously harsh conditions, forgot the exact quote, but that goes against the notion of being born with it cause newborns do not exactly have the time on earth to experience that.

The scary part is that Ging is so good with nen that he stated it was just a talent and not his actual ability. He is so efficient and smart that he not only can mimic strike abilities, but he also instantly deduced it's purpose beyond what was displayed and improved on it. We are after all talking about the man that planned the entirety of gons life and hence most of the show. With that intelligence that is beyond a mere genius it would actually be very interesting to see how his real abilities work, cause smarter is better in hxh cause of conditions and rules.

Leorio nen is just a basic skill. It’s not something hard or personal that can’t be copied. Ging can even develope a new use just by think how a doctor like Leorio use tool.

his ability to control and overall nen multiplies by certain number as long as he is away from any bloodline member.
