If I walked past a Honda showroom and that was in the window I'd think they started building it again.. It just looks how it should be in 2012.. The lines of the original tank match the new seat and fairing and it has such a great look with your design and the parts used. I really like the lines from rear tyre, the cans and seat as you pull away off the grass. And the sound is... well you can kind of make out the 6 cylinder sound but its more like hearing two triumph 675's racing past..

Did you start it yet? My dad wants to start a winter project out of one of his cbx as well and we realized that you would need to cut off the part of the frame with the seat on, if you want to put a new subframe on, cause the original frame is a one piece frame. And cutting off part of the frame is not a good thing to do with these regulations here in europe haha

gabigowriel I would imagine it has to do with cost. the cbx engine would be expensive to produce today and more complicated then needed. that's what makes it so special.
fantastic bike that I have always loved from when I was 15 years old. one day I will get one and sleep with it in my special reinforced double bed.

A company already make a a kit to bolt a hayabusa engine up to a stock miata transmission and engine mounts, cannot see why this couldn't be done

At low revs, yes. At higher revs a CBX sounds identical to a V12 F1 car.

It's just the fairing from a Suzuki , the front fork and fender are Kawasaki ZX 10 R (2010) .
How easy was the ZX10 R front fork conversion? Do you run into ground clearance issues with the modern suspension and 17" wheels on corners?
