I can safely say after owning this game for 20 years and never beating the damn game, I finally beat the game in one go!!!! Hardest level without a doubt was the part where you had to "sync" up the computers in the correct order. So much frustration but you have to be patient with the Large raptors running around.
AHHH YESSSS and How could I have forgotten this level?! On some parts sounds like a beat I would make, no doubt. It's pretty damn dope for Jurassic Park I must admit
Love this Game! eventually did it under an hour, Level 5 was annoying but I did over estimate how big the explosions were when blowing up the raptor nest on level 4
That was JP2 for Gameboy. In this game, this particular level you had to run from bunker to bunker resetting the computers. Have played both games, and yeah that T-rex chase is a real bitch esp when you run into a dead end and cant get out xD
fuckin difficult game and the problem was u have to finish it in one go..theres no save game....it took me 4 hrs to finish in one go.. after months of trying n trying.....and the toughest level IMO was the one you have to find the radio or some thing like that ...and also dodge the electricity/current waves...damn
Where can I find software that can get that awesome game boy "shimmery" synth sound (dunno what to call it)? I've recreated the title and level 1 music on garageband, they actually sound pretty sweet.. but to be able to do it properly like in dubstep songs would be awesome.
Everytime the T-Rex comes, shoot him. It takes about 12 normal bullets, about 5 medium bullets or 2 powerfull (pointy) bullets. When he's of the screen, run with Lex (that girl) to the left as far as possible to escape. Rinse and repeat. Also, don't move when the T-Rex is on the screen... Hope that helps.
the late comment to this, but i wasn't be able (when i got Gameboy with this game) to get past through level 3 (last 2 eggs+one computer), but when i was able to understand where to go, i beat that game- twice.
@canalQuaDuece That was the best part about the game lol! Normally when you pause it the music stops...not here! You pause and the music still plays, albeit dimmer but volume fixes that....better yet....earphones XD
Just gonna help clear some errors for you bud. 12 normal round-tipped bullets, 6 flat-tipped and 3 point-tipped rounds for the T-Rex. This can be however completed with no ammo and no damage, but the tactic you described makes it seem like you should stand still. Doing this will get you chewed. Standing still is the 2nd thing after you move quickly out of the space you were in when Lex stands still. I explain it better when I did the LP and bonus video with live commentary :)
@davidhass3lh0ff It does but once it does, wow! The music to this game is superb! I always loved this music since I was a kid - years later I appreciate it even more thanks for the Jon Dunn! credit =D
Yet if you actually watch the video, you'll notice that he makes small movements that are deliberately done with careful timing for a reason. So yeah, mine was just a bonus I threw in after the LP was finished, for some entertainment.
@Otouto72 hell yea! Music, psychologically hypnotic, like 'fuck da game, music is da reason why I bought it' Once I heard the melody I couldn't have forgot it, picked up the game boy before I even dropped it. Why did I even drop it? Somehow got off topic..Now here I am on TH-cam, damn this shit's nostalgic! Got me spittin flow like a faucet..Game boy music so ill I had to Pause it..LISTEN!
You actually don't need to find all the eggs. You just gotta run from that thing! Finding all of them will just grant you one extra life. Not sure if you'll benefit it a lot though.
@canalQuaDuece Yes I agree, its completely unfitting for a game like Jurassic Park lol! But the soundtrack is simply amazing. I always went back to this game as a kid and just had to rebuy it when I re-aquired my game boy and its mainly because of the music!
That's not Level 4, that's Level 2, but like the third segment before the T-Rex, if you're referring to when you raft up the river and have those optional eggs you collect :)
Not true, YOU CAN DO THIS WITHOUT AMMO AND WITH NO DAMAGE. sniperwar10 and I demonstrated this in our own separate TH-cam videos. Only difference is his was a request from Otouto72, and I did it because I discovered it while playing around and found it amusing how retarded you can make the T-Rex look. I also took the liberty of filling in some blanks, because sniperwar10 didn't explain anything. Therefore this fooled people into thinking you had to simply stand still.
this is a surprisingly good and interesting song for jurassic park on gameboy.
Memories... Fricken' t-rex gave me such a HARD TIME. I WAS A KID, GOD DAMN IT.

When it comes with running, screw any bonus you see unless you're a dare devil.

Oh man, the double kick drum after 1:24 is insane!
1:24

Damm, this is good shit.
@MrKasperabhay Yeah I've never gotten past level 2 personally and the no save thing makes this even tougher to finish.
If I remember right, this is also the theme for Stage 6. (Which is the final stage of the game.)
Jon Dunn is a genius!
I love this theme but gives me chills all i can think about is the t-rex chasing me

i use to have nightmares of said t-rex chasing me.

@jboypacman It starts of pretty slow - once 1:17 hits, man its one hell of a ride =)
it's my favourite among Jurassic 's themes

When i was a kid it took a few months to find out what to do at level 3
8 was it just remembered, the US version might be different to the Euro version as was most games back then
is it? might be different for the gameboy colour, on old gameboy was 2 High, 6 Medium?(was a few years ago) & 18 low
I never made it to the final boss, I'm still having problems with the T-Rex.
I hate to break it to you, but there is no final boss. (Seriously, I was both disappointed _and_ relieved by this, myself.)
I never past this level!!!

2019
Here ❤ masterpiece
This is also is played in the final level of the game.

I hated this level, the computer reset took entirely way too long and the Dino's constantly respawned
Yet if you actually watch the video, you'll notice that he makes small movements that are deliberately done with careful timing for a reason. So yeah, mine was just a bonus I threw in after the LP was finished, for some entertainment.
@xJORDAN99x Me too! Really kicks in a that point =)

This is the music.
the T-Rex level was really difficult, you must do it always again and you reach the end of that level Step by Step
i nevver got passed lvl 4 with the swimming and the trylobytes that would never die
Final boss was hellahard
That's not Level 4, that's Level 2, but like the third segment before the T-Rex, if you're referring to when you raft up the river and have those optional eggs you collect :)
There is no final boss. The only thing that could qualify as a boss was the T-Rex in level 2. After that it's just collecting eggs and key cards...
@atrumdiabolus I know! Freaking awesome music! I'll admit though its very unfitting for Jurassic Park XD
cool tune start's off slow
Are you sure you're not confusing that with the NES version? In the Game Boy, there is no final boss.
@samusRulz I have never reached the third level in my life so if it's hints you're after I'm afraid you're stumped lol! =)
Pretty badass theme for a somewhat mediocre gameboy game.
Who’s here from Nathaniel Bandy

Good beat to this theme but i don't like the pitch in this one either.
This sounds like a club song lil wayne or someone would produce. Way ahead of it's time.
I want THE STROKES to cover this song.
