After the relative ease of the first stage, this stage was brutal. Raptors in trees constantly spawning, the river and then the almost impossible T-Rex fight
As soon as I reached that stage after a few times, I remember sort of having a speedthrough of how fast I can reach the T-REX fight back in the days, lol. The thing is I couldn't beat the T-REX back then, so I automatically turned the game off :O. I tried everything: even leading Lexx to the exit gate, running out of ammo and once, just once, accidentally hurting the T-REX a bit taking a little-puny-tiny chunk of his health. Then I ran out of ammo/continues/patience, sort of calling it quits.
It took me ages of practice. The first stage is a joke compared to the rest of the game and this Stage in particular the difficulty shoots through the roof. The continuously spawning Raptors, the Spitters on the River , almost every other box is an exploding box and the Tyrannosaur takes a ton of health if she bites you It can be done hough with a lot of patience, and if you save your most powerful ammo for the Tyrannosaur. I think there’s also something like 3 or 4 lives on this level. I’m sure save states would help out a lot When I was growing up I only had like 3 or 3 GB games, this being one and I played this one almost religiously. It can be done, if you have the patience
What you have to do, which isn’t explained at all in the game is you’ll lead Lex through one end of the Tyrannosaur paddock to the other end. You don’t need your guns unless you mess up but you are going to want to have as many lives as possible and full health. When you pick up Lex, pay close attention to her. You’ll walk slowly through the exact middle of the screen and when Lex stops, you’ll want to stop at the far left of the screen then hurriedly move to the bottom left of the screen and stay still until the Tyrannosaur leaves. If you did it right the Tyrannosaur will bite where she believes you to be then move downwards and backwards. If you shoot her, she’ll notice you. The only time you shoot her is if you didn’t get into position fast enough and she attacks you, you’ll shoot her to ward her off. It’s difficult to get the exact timing down but patience and persistence will be rewarded
Every time I hear this song I can't help but imagine myself running away from vicious Velociraptors. Running from room to room, shutting the doors behind me and trying desperately to escape!
YO!!! I've played this back when it came out for the Game Boy (can't remember if I ever beat the game I was about 8yrs old) and this level 2 theme song remained in my head..until recently it just kept randomly poppin in muh head so I had to youtube it..thanks for uploading, maybe I'll finally make remixed hip hop version pretty soon
It's been many years since I heard this. This track stuck with me all these years although faintly and parts forgotten. Some fucker stole this game from me not long after I got it. I'll never forget the desperate river rafting. Not sure why but I get the impression of wind in an inhospitable environment, perhaps not too unlike this level. Never did beat the T-rex, though.
@FL00PPA TOTALLY! Level 1's music had such a good sound, but this one completely blew me away! From the first few seconds, you knew it was worth your while getting past the first level!
@canalQuaDuece I had this too when it was out, the level one music stuck in my head and this one is probably the best of the lot! Awesome music! I never got past the level 2 boss lol, kept running out of ammo. And no problem with the upload, just sharing my passion for video game music that's all =) Good luck to you.
@ZXAmiga64 Yeah I didn't know he done this originally until I done research. He done this, Darkman, Robocop and Robocop 2 - he probably done more but those are the ones I'm more familiar with.
Otouto72 You had to stop moving before the T-rex came on screen. At least that's how I went about things, was a long time ago so... ... but if you didn't manage to stand still in time you could use those rockets with the pointed tip but the ammo was rare.
Apologies for the super lat reply but omfg stocking on those ammo were a pain i remember also stocking those square shaped bullets as my main against the rex
@MetalHeart718 I disagree. If there isn't tension in trying to survive in an island filled with bloodthirsty dinosaurs, I don't know where is. The music makes it feel like there's actually a danger instead of just being lost in the forest, like the SNES-version makes one feel.
Even though this comment is quite old, I felt compelled to reply. I agree. the music in the Famicom/NES version is way more atmospheric than the one in the SNES. The weird thig is that both tracks were composed by Jon Dunn.
@Otouto72 Oh I also forgot to ask, since you stated that most recordings are from emulators, Is this exactly like the original GB version? It sure does sound like it to me though, just making sure...and BTW THERE ARE very easy and cost-effective (cheap) ways to record straight from original cartridges, such as 'headphone from game to mic of computer', etc. good quality too
@davidhass3lh0ff I know! The music is this game is so superb! A little unfitting I admit but I absolutely love it! I think this is my personal favourite one!
@MetalHeart718 Well I'm not one for remixes myself but I'm sure someone will. The tunes do seem to be a little unfitting for a game like Jurassic Park but they are still brilliant tunes regardless.
@canalQuaDuece I have this on the my game boy (I've two) and yes it is the same. I really appreciate you asking because I don't emulation is not everyone's cup of tea....but as a perfectionist I always make sure I use the best emulators available. I may try that method for sometime, maybe for the more modern systems like the PS2 etc but we'll see. Thank you very much mate, I appreciate it!
all the tracks i hear of this game so far are like they would fit in mortal kombat. the tracks don't fit with this game at all. would be nice if anyone, who is capable of making remixes of these tracks, would do it and i would fav and like them.. like a baws!
This OST is better than most modern hip hop songs
The slightly remixed version of these songs on the Game Boy sequel, The Chaos Continues, is a bit better. Same song though mostly.
true!!!
All*
still true
stop it

Tactical L man. No guns needed. Fuck Lex.

It took me years of playing to finally make it to this level, and I never made it past it

The suspense in this music is incredibly epic!!
i'm glad that i'm not the only one that remembers the great music from this game!!!
The part at 1:34 sent shivers down my spine in 1993 every time I heard it.
... and it still does :_)
yeah son!
love it.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Reminds me of a Pokémon Battle theme somehow.
Every time I hear this song I can't help but imagine myself running away from vicious Velociraptors. Running from room to room, shutting the doors behind me and trying desperately to escape!
THIS .. brings back memories
THIS and only THIS!!!
@jx866 Oh totally dude! Jonathan Dunn is one of my favourite composers! Such a genius of a composer!

U can't beat it, u have to stand still everytime it appears and hope it hasn't seen u before u stopped moving.
@FL00PPA TOTALLY! Level 1's music had such a good sound, but this one completely blew me away! From the first few seconds, you knew it was worth your while getting past the first level!
@transplant138 Yeah its an awesome soundtrack, one of my personal favourites on the Game Boy.
@canalQuaDuece I had this too when it was out, the level one music stuck in my head and this one is probably the best of the lot! Awesome music! @xJORDAN99x I know its totally awesome! This music is spectacular!

@sniperwar10 Wow sounds interesting. Is there a video showing this?
@Otouto72 you don't need to shoot the t rex
@davidhass3lh0ff I know! The music is this game is so superb! A little unfitting I admit but I absolutely love it! I think this is my personal favourite one!
And I thought Level 1 was kick ass lol - this is outstanding! =D
@Otouto72 there is a way to stand still and he won't eat you. most people does not know how to do it.
@MetalHeart718 Well I'm not one for remixes myself but I'm sure someone will. The tunes do seem to be a little unfitting for a game like Jurassic Park but they are still brilliant tunes regardless.

Привет из 2021!)
The sound was better on gb?
@FL00PPA The game was a little difficult for my liking but the music was awesome, a little unfitting perhaps but it was still amazing.
@Kenshiro3rd Haha well it is totally awesome wether it fits or not. =)
@sniperwar10 I was hoping you didn't need too but everytime I run out of ammo nothing seems to happen, convincing me you HAD to shoot him.
@jboypacman Action packed indeed! A little unfitting though I must admit but its still awesome!
@sniperwar10 And I indeed got your message. I'll check it out when I get caught on with the other comments and messages on my inbox.
Wow this sounds more intense than the NES version
Yeah I don’t know why the Gameboy ost just hits harder
@atrumdiabolus LOL this makes Level 1 sound shite lol! I love this tune! Its awesome!
@Otouto72 ill post it up today or tomorrow i will send u a message when its done
Action packed them but a bit high pitch for my liking.
all the tracks i hear of this game so far are like they would fit in mortal kombat.
the tracks don't fit with this game at all.
would be nice if anyone, who is capable of making remixes of these tracks, would do it and i would fav and like them.. like a baws!
