Overwhelming Pressure and volume strikes tends to work against counter strikers. They want you to stand there and trade pot shots with them and go tit for tat. But if you’re throwing a lot of volume they typically don’t want to turn up volume themselves and get out worked. If they have a lot power it’s a little more dangerous though because they can make their shots count for a lot. Feints are good as well because they’re already programmed to answer back to your strike with their own counter but if you feint like you’re going to throw and they throw as a response and it misses or gets blocked you’re in a better position to counter their counter strike.
Thats the video i needed. My trainingspatner never attacks and always waits that i move, so he can counter and i don't know what i should do. I will try this

hey joe at my gym is an experienced fighter and whenever we spar he doesn't hold back and attacks incessantly. Do you have a tip how I can stop him? I would love to hurt him one time like he did it all the time to me.
