    Thanks for doing this video. I withdrew my deposit for a Staccato and being I have a rather large Glock magazine collection, I am going with the Platypus. I'm torn on the new Turkish 2011s but I'm oversold on the Platypus based on the magazines alone. Great video. I subscribed.

      You will not regret buying a Platypus, I promise you. Staccato makes fine guns, and I would like to have one. But when I can get two Platypus ( or is that Platypii? ) for the price of one Staccato with all the trimmings I have a hard time choosing the Staccato.

    I absolutely love my platypus. The customization, the price, the reliability, and it takes glock mags. I've heard their customer service is unbeatable. It's hard to buy any other hand gun when you own one of these. Staccatos are nice but you get way more options for less money with stealth arms.

    Preciate the video. Your accuracy results were similar to mine. I rented the P about a year ago and the commander platypus about a month ago. The platypus is more accurate imo because of the smaller grip diameter allowing you to get a more solid grip and the noticeably nicer/cleaner trigger. I feel like the platypus lead times are gona skyrocket when the shot show updates go live...

    • @RazorMP_Official
      @RazorMP_Official  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No problem! I think you are right. in addition, I haven't seen customizations like the Platypus' direct from the manufacturer from any other maker. They are accurate and at their price point...very attainable. Like I said though...I won't go all in untill Ive had some time to test it out with a couple of thousand rounds. But I am hopeful. I think demand will go up nonetheless and people (rightly so) will jump at the current price point before it climbs up. Thanks for the input!

    Im a 1911/2011 guy. Have been since, well, forever. I own a legacy STI, 2 Ps and an XC in the 2011 flavor. All duty guns at some point in a 26 year career. Love em.
    I shot a Platypus last week that belongs to a friend and former co-workers and I was impressed. Impressed enough to build one and place an order. Felt great, shot great and worked flawlessly with stock glop mags.😅
    Agency issues the flop and mags are cheap and plentiful so it was kinda a no brainer. A great gun that uses a cheap mag. I dont believe ayone looking for a budget double stack 1911 will be disappointed with this gun.

    Im a staccato die hard, own a P myself. However glock mags with similar-ish craftsmanship, its a nice touch for the Platypus. Id like to see the true accuracy tho. When i purchased my staccato, they sent along with it a factory zero 3 shots, sub .5 moa. Might be worth a further test

    I'll take the Staccato P for now. It is time tested and reliable, and it comes in a steel frame. If I could get a Platypus in steel frame and once it has a longer track record, I would likely get one.

      @RazorMP_Official  23 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I totally get that....in fact I say as much in the last video. Stealth Arms is doing well...maybe too well. Meaning rapid growth sometimes means growing pains. Quality may go down or without long term testing in the field, there may be previously unidentified issues lying in wait. Though I will say....I have heard zero bad feedback on their guns thus far.

    I have a C2 limited with comp. I have a platy. The C2 is softer for me. I don’t have too many rounds through the SA. But I’ve shot the C2a bunch and it’s smooth. There’s no way it’s fair to compare the platy to the XC. It’s awesome! But I’m going to be spending more time with it soon.

    I’m interested in both of these guns but the frustrating thing for me is the fact that I’m struggling to find videos of either of these guns(or damn near any gun these days) showing the shooting experience without a flashlight, which affects weigh, recoil etc. I won’t be carrying either one of these guns and i don’t need a light on my gun in my already well lit indoor range so I have zero need for a flashlight on a range gun.

    Curious how a Canik Rival would stack up against each.

    • @RazorMP_Official
      @RazorMP_Official  19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Generally speaking, striker fired pistols are double action only trigger systems which do not usually fare well against a single action like a 1911. Meaning the striker needs to move to the rear, then forward to fire (more opportunity
      to move off target under the weight of pulling the trigger). Where the single action 1911 just needs to release the cocked hammer...I will say some striker-fired pistols with tuned triggers can garner competitive results. I've never shot the Rival specifically but happy to give it a go and do a comparison.

You'll love it more and more, especially when you do a course with it and dumping the mags on any surface and it doesn't make you cringe due to the price if it breaks. I was skeptical but have around 4k rounds on my commander model (and duty EDC it)and waiting for my slide to come back from being ported on my full size. I may not ever get on the staccato train after SA announced they are making improvements and a version that takes P320 mags because I got a bunch of those too! As far as another gun.. @@RazorMP_Official I was the same way with a P that I rented from the range. I rented a P and a CZ shadow 2 that I didn’t shoot that well. Neither had an optic and my eyes struggled with the sights on both. Then I bought all of the staccato’s except the XL (have the other 4). I run a holosun comp on my XC and a trijicon rmr on my P. My P has a threaded barrel so technically it’s a tad longer. My XC, like yours is the most accurate. However, once I learned the P a little better it shoots nearly as good as the XC but the XC trigger beats it by a little as it translates to accuracy, not much now that I have the P figured out. I have started using S&B 115 grain mostly and my accuracy has improved immensely on all guns I shoot now and that stuff is consistent. Try some if you haven’t. Keep posting about your 2011’s.
