Not commenting to say anything about a specific brand, just a general comment. If you get a game camera, any game camera, try it out at your home FIRST to fully understand it's operation. These things are harder to configure than a Chinese WIFI in a dark closet. The buttons are tiny and multi-functional, the set-up screens small, the manuals are sometimes written by non-English speakers and, (some of them), have so many obscure, esoteric features/options they will lead you down a rabbit hole of frustration. Recommended; DO NOT STRAP IT TO A TREE IN REMOTE BF EGYPT AND HOPE FOR THE BEST! Pick a spot close to your home, and your indoor desk/laptop computer. Do your best according to the provided manual to configure it to your preferences. Set up the camera somewhere securely and easy to get at for day and night recording. Let it pick you up in day and night recording because, you know what you look like and can judge the selected settings better. Bring it into the comfort of your home and cable it to your computer. Review your findings, make adjustments as needed. Regarding any WIFI options, you're on your own! Cheers!

@@Recordesk Glad it helped! It's our first GC and used by a water source by our home. We fought with it for about a week. Watched this video and put it back to the default settings with some small changes. Very happy now, set it up each evening and download each morning. No mountain lions, or Bigfoots yet! But we're hopeful. Cheers!

Looking for a trail camera for my mom for Christmas. We are not using it for hunting, but she wants it setup at her horse barn which also has chickens in case a predator of some sort comes along which happens every once in a while and she wants to catch it on camera. The problem I think I’m running into is that during the day our dogs are constantly down there and she is constantly down there as well so I’m assuming it would be taking tons of pictures. Trying to find something simple that she can use and maybe look at the photos on her phone. Anything specific I should be looking at?

You should do a video on the top non cellular cameras, I hunt in an area where cell service is really non existent and can’t use the cell cams like I want to even with extended antennas

I definitely agree with you. The industry making trail cameras need to create a bare bones reliable trail cam with great megapixel images.

My Spypoint didn't last a year. Bad thing is it went out when I was trying to discover who was stealing my canned goods from my pantry. I have a motion sensor camera for inside, but really wanted to see how the thief got in. Haven't caught them yet.

Cellular cam would do me no good. The mountain areas I hunt have virtually no cell signals.

Try this (the stealth trail cam) how make the cam thin and curved covered in perfect matching bark set into the tree with earth magnets and a pin head lens when the cam is removed replace with a piece of bark again with earth magnets smaller curved and flat as possible (only the owner knows) for a catch but to really see what's in the woods without the BS for epic results even multiple locations .

I watching a bunch of reviews trying to find what I need but I'm not really getting the answers I need... Does anyone here know what I should look for if I really just want a wildlife camera for the yard? I just need to know what the gopher tortoise is doing while I'm gone 😭

Ceyomur or izeeker, from Amazon . Just as good as the high dollar cams.
