I'm doing a similar job on my four door and was told the boxing plat fixes to the undersill inner, not outer. When I do weld mine in think I will temp fit the door & align sill finisher outside then work in. It's a right head scratcher with these replacement panels. Good luck 👍

How's progress? I had a similar situation with the boxing plate on my 4 door. Not much room for plug welds at the front as there was a 5mm drop.
Looks like you're doing fine to me. Ours is a 4 door otherwise I'd try and help with measurements. I'm sure help will arrive shortly. Regards.
