I consider myself lucky. My brother recently gave me one of these for a Xmas Present. I was yearning for a Resin 3D Printer, especially after relying on the local library's own layered plastic printer for years. This should save me a lot of money, doing it myself! I also got the curing and cleaning station, so that's great too!🥰😁
Galactic Armory - just remember it's really low-budget model - I bought mine recently, and there are some issues: - check the bottom of the plastic vat - mine wasn't really flat, I plan to buy metal one, with _replacable_ fep - there's no cooling fan - I plan to add one to make inside cooler and add longevity
My criticism about the slicer, is the same. Try the LYCHEE SLICER, it already slices for the mono. And it supports netfab online, if your model has any issue to be fixed.
Going to second this, Lychee Slicer has been a pleasant surprise in how well it works, even compared to Chitubox. Though the fact that you need to do a monthly subscription to get all the features is a bit frustrating, but the free version is still really really good.
when it disapears it is becasue of the OS renderer, when happens minimize the window and open again and it will show the object, no need to try to fix in the scene
Excellent, practical review. Thank you so much. Great to get such a detailed video of this unit. Question: Would you be able to use a rubber like resin with this unit? I want to print some rubber keycaps.
Amazing review. Can someone answer me this, though - I have never used software like this, is it simple enough just to scale things down to fit the printer size? I'm fairly tech-savvy so I could probably work my way around it but as a beginner, never using a 3D printer before, I don't see myself getting too in-depth with the printing process yet. I want to print minis to paint, that's about it.
I’m thinking of getting a 3d printer will I be able to print out buildings for 1/12 scale figures or 1/144 Gunpla figures or will I have to print out in several batches ?
Hey! Can you let me know how much total time it took to build this. I have the same printer. It took 6 to 7 hrs just to print one part as same as yours. Can you share me your export settings?!! Just wanted to confirm I am doing it the right way! Thanks..
Bought this from anycubics website and finally got it, tried to set up first time with the instructions, noticed home button and manual movement z only goes up, now its stuck to the top -.- good first impressions for me that was, hopefully they answer me soon what i can do about it.
Lower your build plate to the paper on top of the mono screen without the resin vat, then press z-0 (or something named some version of Z=0, not at my printer) that will fix your issue!
you was lucky the version 23.rc8 is bugged just as well you printed at 0.05 and settings as default. if you had set it to 0.025 if would have still sliced at 0.05 i am the the moderator for the official anycubic photon mono series group. i have version 22.rc3 there and its not bugged. but i also recommend to everyone to download and use the lychee beta slicer. i also have a video on my channel for the workshop showing my setup for supports that make the software very usable. i would also recommend to everyone not to use the infill option from the workshop as this will create pockets of air and resin and when cured might split the models. but yes lychee is awesome. and welcome to the photon mono :)
@@BroadHobbyProjects i have posted the link to it on the official facebook group for the mono range. come join us it's in the announcements facebook.com/groups/925744744502091/
also if you use an old hair dryer blowing hot on the supports it will make the supports soft and flexible and should be able to brush the supports of a model leaving no puck marks or need to sand. hope this helps :)
I'll get involved in the group. I'm just finishing up at work so will join and see what's going on. Thanks for the tips! I've already been getting some great results printing miniatures at the 6mm scale, amazing quality for cost if the machine. So be interesting to hear what the group has from all its experiences. Thanks again. 👍🏻
When I slice a file to the pwmo format on the printer the preview on selection is blank Is this normal? or do you have a fix for this issue as the test prints work fine but had no luck printing my own files as of yet! Cheers.
Hi there, I purchased this printer and downloaded the Darth Vader SLT from your site. My noob question is how do you scale each file??? I'm very new to this first time new :)
I really wanted an Elegoo Mars Pro 2 + the Elegoo Wash and Cure, but they ran out of it in Europe ... so it seems. Ali Express has a sale on a combo with both ... and the price difference vs Elegoo is significant. The software is an issue I do not want to be locked into Anycubic proprietary software.
Ok, so it doesn’t look like you sell the PRINTS for clone trooper heavy helmet, but you sell the PRINT FILES for clone trooper heavy helmet, I was wandering if you would be able/willing to make an exception? I was goosing to make a costom heavy helmet for my Halloween costume.
Question! I'm thinking of getting a 3D Printer, how does this resin compare to the filament printers on price points? Including extras like the fluid needed or running alcohol to clean it.
Hey dude I love ur vids a lot and I’m planning on buying some of your 3D model files but I currently don’t own a 3D printer and I’d like some help finding a high quality and good 3D printer at a cheap price. Could you give me some suggestions?
Can someone please help me my photon mono is printing random I recognizable patterns of split and broken supports and solid lines of resin that dont even come close to resembling the models I have tried everything!! I'm using chitubox to slice and support I tried releveling making sure fep and everything was clean spent hour and hours going through making sure supports were good after using auto support and I'm telling you the infantry I try to print you couldnt even tell what I was printing just strands and supports hokding up huge bricks or random deformed resin I cannot find anything on such catastrophic resin failures online I need help please.
impossible to make antialiasing work of this machine, I tested all the slicers, I put the last fimeware and it does not work, somebody has the same problem as me?
".. this is much easier than an FDM printer, where you have like, three different motors to plug in.." I assume he's just exaggerating for effect, but in case someone who doesn't know should end up with this video as their first mention of FDM printers, there are plenty of unbox/plug in/hit print FDM printers. They do tend to cost more, but they're worth it if all you want to do is print with no fuss.
nice printer. I want to get into the hobby but I already do LEGO star wars (which is expensive) and I also want to start to collect the the clone trooper 3.75 inch action figures but I am saving my to get a printer someday.
Photon mono is a good printer, but it doesn't have an anti-aliasing algorithm, this makes it almost unusable. This is most likely a problem with the screen controller.
No my man. I thought the same. I bought the Anycubic Photon (standard version) for £189.99 and I'm getting 6mm scale minis printed from it. It's seriously that good.
"take a good long look at what this printer is capable of" - 12 seconds of fast shaking moving camera, not even zoomed in - ROFLMFAO!!! Goddamn!! I'd hate to see your bad fast glimpse of something FFS!! HA HA HA!!!
I've just ordered one of these. This vid definitely helped my conscious in the choice of machine - can't beat a Cap'n Rex!
please make a content in your channel about this 3d printer and i deffinitely become your subscriber
Should I get something on the website
care to share your feedback?

you should integrate this into your costume making. It could print small pieces of costumes that you cant sand well like vents and whatnot
I love this channel so much. You have convinced me to by a 3D printer and try printing my own helmets. Thank you!!
Appreciate you sharing this video! Very helpful!

I see you are achieving the rank of 3D master
Came to add to my hype for my photon printer. Stayed for a fantastic star wars builder channel
Resin printers are definitely something I think about getting it's the treatment process that gets me.
Get a wash and cure, it will make things allot more easy.

Awesome video, very informative and not too serious, great review.
Wow. I love that model. Absolutely awesome!!!
What is your typical print layer times? I've been enjoying mine, but I'm still tuning in the settings for some more delicate parts.
1:54 hahahaha xD Can't wait what else you will print on that! PS. how much resin did the whole figure use?
Nice. That looks incredible
Hi, awesome print! How much resin do you spent on this model? Thanks!
when it disapears it is becasue of the OS renderer, when happens minimize the window and open again and it will show the object, no need to try to fix in the scene
Just bought the today getting it all ready for printing your work is great man I really hope you do a commander cody to go along with him
So would u recommend this printer over the elegoo Mars? Im thinking about buying a resin printer.
Yes!

Yes! You can scale stuff to fit
@@Yusuf-fs4fn what software do you use n how n where can I download stuff from what website is everyone going on about to download
Had mine for about a week now. The Z rail just came loose during a print and it is a pain in the ass to put it back together.
Great review... by your experience in resine 3d printing what is the average consumption of resine to print a figurine like this... thank you

Just confirmed on my printer it’s Z=0 under tools (bottom selection)
Also if it’s still stuck at the top, try turning the lead screw by hand with the printer OFF! Hope these help.

Ok that printer is absolutly amazing

You should use this to print small detail pieces so that it will be easier to smooth when you make helmets

Just got this doing test print now
Amazing how yours work. Mine doesn´t. It just doesn´t print. It just sticks a part of the support onto the surface of the resin-bath and that´s it.
Quick question let's say a print is 3 hours on a ender 3 how long would it be in this
Which printer do u advice for a novice? This one or the Elegoo Mars pro?
That’s an awesome statue!

Also do you need to calibrate it, like leveling or anything.
how many resin was consumed by printing that figure? thanks! nice print!
I’m really thinking about getting one of these, but it would have to go in my bedroom so I’m wondering how bad these things actually smell being resin
Im about to get one of these Resin Printers to print my models, i want to showcase them on my channel.

Are resin printers better then FDA printers because? How are they to use?
i have got the Photon Mono but when i put the memory card in the printer i can not see the print
It looks soo smooth. I have mu Photon Mono for 3 weeks. Everything i print comes with visible lines and steps it looks just ugly 😔
Can you use chitubox with this printer?

very nice I would take both right away unfortunately for me it's too expensive I will have to save or wait for a discount

Can you make Sergeant Hound armor?

Well I've been looking at 3d printers to buy and I think I may have found one
Have Someone used this Photon mono X 3D printer with different resin.
Ehhh galactic armory? When are you going to sell a commander wolffe figure??😅😇🤩👌
3:54 he says "but" as Rex's butte finishes printing.
I wish I had the ability to just randomly print a decently sized Clone Wars statue, but 3D printing is expensive if you want it to look good.

Heyya, I can print them for you for pretty cheap if you want.

He could probably print the 501st with this printer
So at full scale it's a carbon copy of a sideshow/hot toys figure of Rex but a statue.
Anycubic is a good choice for the beginner and prototyping fans. Someone who need resin materials for 3d printers can enquire from me, thanks.
Check out * lychee slicer* is works great with my mono x you need the beta to get the profiles for these printers
Buyers beware anycubic took 50 days for them to tell me I wasn't going to be able to get my package it was lost
He is no long a 3rd printer padawan.
Received for free equates to a biased opinion whether reviewers want to admit it or not.
Go to Chitubox
What... that wasnt very informative.. how hard was it to setup? like... more info :/
