    Best physics teachers ever. They take all the time in the world to explain facts and mechanisms with simulations such that even a dummy with understand
    Thank you so much dears

    32:00 where will the waves reflect from if both ends open

      Here's a secret at A Levels: waves can reflect off open ends as well, but they reflect is a weird way 🙊

    In open closed pattern drawing(11:30 till 22:00), if each time the waves add by 0.5 wavelength, is the 0.5wavelength constant because if it is, how is it possible because the fundamentsl wavelength is 4L, half of it is 2L, if add 2L to the waves in 3rd harmonic or first overtone, it is longer than the tube, so does that mean the the value of the '0.5 wavelength varies each time'?

      If the length of string is fixed, each time you add half a wavelength to go to the next pattern, the wavelength must decrease in order to fit on the string! Hence a higher frequency.

      @@ETphysics thankyou, but i still have some doubts on MJ 18 P22 Q4bii, I'd rlly appreciate if you explain it

      @@ETphysics So in open closed variable length tubes, each time adding the half a wavelength, the value of it is constant because the the L can vary and frequency is constant, unlike in a normal open closed tubes where the waves must squeeze to maintain L?

    • @ETphysics
      @ETphysics  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yepp you got it! The differences between the two setups is whether you are keeping L constant, or not
