Hi, I'd really appreciate some help/advice with my TV since you seem to know what you're doing here. I accessed the service menu on my UE48H6700STXXU by pressing the key sequence on my remote. The service menu came up but then I decided I don't want to change any settings. So I didn't press *anything* else on the remote except the power button to turn the TV off. When the TV came back on all the picture settings were set to "Dynamic" so I went and restored all my picture options to as they were before. I *might* be imagining it, but the picture doesn't seem to look *quite* the same after I accessed the service menu, even though I changed nothing and exited immediately. The picture doesn't seem as bright and at other times seems a bit washed out. Not terrible, but noticeable (I think!) I've done a factory reset from within the TV settings but it seems to be the same and not quite like it was before. Please can you tell me if what I did (accessing the service menu and exiting immediately by pressing the power off button on the remote) would have changed any picture settings within the service menu that I can change back? It must have reset *something* because everything was set to Dynamic after reboot. On your video, you go to Option, then Type and choose what I assume is the TV model. Does this reset the settings for that model type to defaults? i.e. what they were? Otherwise what do you recommend to get the settings back to how they were (If they've changed). Is there a safe way of setting things back to how they were? Is there a way of finding out the default settings for my TV model? I really wish I hadn't accessed the service menu at all but would appreciate any help! Thanks

I liked to see the panel hours ie. how many hours I had used the TV, and I found it easily in the service menu. The button combination from the remote is: 1. 2. 3. 4. Remember to first just turn off your TV. It is weird that the date of purchase seems just some random date like 25.6.2015 for me althought I bought the TV in 22.10.2014 :D
Hello, I am having Samsung 7 series TV (UN43KU7000) and it came with a smart remote. That means It is not a traditional type one and having only few buttons. I want to connect my Bluetooth to my tv. but I can't find a place in settings for that. As I could read somewhere through service menu can be activated that. This is good! But howto disable screen mirroring on the tv through the service menu? I've an UE48H6705ST and I want to disable that, because of disturbing neighbors trying to screen their phones. Is it possible to disable so it's impossible to use the tv for screen mirroring? The device manager which should deny or allow incoming signals from phones, doesn't work.

It's impossible! In order to get into the service menu you need a regular remote or a service app and am Android smartphone with IR sensor or IR dongle. Not original remote cost about 5$ delivered the link in the description. And by the way I have a newer video that describes service menu of modern Samsung smart TVs.

I'm sorry but if you cannot see the menu and your screen is black then there is no way to reset settings at home. You need the same tv near to follow the menu or go to the service center. I always warning you guys that you have to understand what you're doing if not just ask.
Please, PLEASE be aware how easy it is, once you get into the service menu to completely and royally F#%$ your set to a point to where you will have to pay someone like me to straighten it up. What ever you do, do it one step at a time so you can undo anything if something gets messed up.

It failed and made my colors way off. Luckily I have a Samsung KU6290 and copied the ADT result numbers and my picture looks good. But idk what I did but I can only get 4K on apps. I know HDMI 1 is the only one w HDR. But thats not this issue. Any help would be appreciated

This is fatal mistake to touch micom upgrade... I have a bunch of videos with service menu explanation and I always say not to change settings that you don't know. There are two options: replace the motherboard or reflash the chip. Anyway there's no way to fix it at home without proper tools, equipment and access to Samsung's firmware.

I found a way to unlock advanced settings and disable local dimming, but it results in a dim panel without the ability to increase the brightness so had to turn it back on. if anyones interested in doing it: -go to 'SVC', then 'Other setting', then 'CAL Data restore' -after this, click return until you are at the first menu, go to Option ->MRT and its there What i did was change the color on PC Mode(no dimming by default) to the one i like so i am happy with it now for playing games. just TV and movies dim still

try to perform a hard reset through the service menu.

If you have an android smartphone with IR sensor you can install service remote app and it will work perfectly.

yes ..you can buy a factory service manual but it only has a portion the rest comes in another manual that only qualified techs can order

This is fatal mistake to touch micom upgrade... I have a bunch of videos with service menu explanation and I always say not to change settings that you don't know. There are two options: replace the motherboard or reflash the chip. Anyway there's no way to fix it at home without proper tools, equipment and access to Samsung's firmware.

Can you be more specific, please? You have a Samsung TV with black screen? Turn on your TV and press the menu button on your remote and immediately shine the screen with a flashlight. Can you see something on the screen. the menu should be barely visible. this way we can check if the problem with the backlit or something else. What about the sound?

I found a way to unlock advanced settings and disable local dimming, but it results in a dim panel without the ability to increase the brightness so had to turn it back on. if anyones interested in doing it:
-go to 'SVC', then 'Other setting', then 'CAL Data restore'
-after this, click return until you are at the first menu, go to Option ->MRT and its there
What i did was change the color on PC Mode(no dimming by default) to the one i like so i am happy with it now for playing games. just TV and movies dim still
