Hi Deanna, I found your channel for the first time yesterday and today I was excited to try to make a hat mold. Your instructions were great. It was fairly easy to do with a little patience. Thanks to you and an Amazon package box, I now have a respectable first edition of your hat mold. Thank you so much for sharing. Next step I'm going to stretch my hides and use your tutorial.
can you answer how you got the 25" measurement? With an 8"x 6" it equals a circumference of 22.103....Please tell us all the secret of the measurements please!!!!!!This is /has been driving me NUTZ!!!!!!!!
Hi Deanna. Im confused as to how to calculate the diameters for making different sized hat forms. For this one, you used 8" and 6" for a 25" circumference. Can you explain how you came up with those numbers? Thank you!
I divide the total number by 4, so if circumference is 24 each quarter of hat is 6 inches. I change it a bit to more oval shape go to " Melly Sews" website, for a good template

I would be interest in making a half hat block and oval shape block. Any help I would appreciate.
Carve one out of styrofoam , you can buy a Styrofoam head form , or get a similar type head , wig head might work, good luck
