Orson was definitely hysterical. The show improved immensely when he was added to the panel. This was the CLASSIC TTTT panel. (So sad the way he died.)
Incredible final story. All who worked on the tunnel deserved medals for their bravery and endurance for such a massive undertaking. Robert Q can be seen on various shows throughout these years and he is always a delight to watch.
That was pretty daring of Mark Goodson and Bill Todman to recycle a contestant (and her story) just five months after her appearance on another Goodson/Todman show - but they got away with it, because apparently none of the panelists were watching WHAT'S MY LINE? the night Snooks Rourk appeared as a contestant (after Chuck Yeager, and before Mystery Guest Robert Cummings) or didn't remember her appearance if they had watched that show. It also helped that she changed her mode of dress for this appearance from how she was dressed on WML? Thank you for sharing this fun gem from the past with all of us!!!!!
They recycled contestants all the time. E.G. the pickpocket who stole Daly's wallet was also on Ive got a Secret. Bob McGrath was on both To Tell the Truth and I've Got a Secret
5 MONTHS after; try 1 WEEK after! I started watching these game shows a year ago, and I watch both in order (same month and year), and I remember one episode of What's My Line where there a boy who was a golf caddy for the president and the following WEEK he was on To Tell The Truth!
I started getting into TTTT and WML and that's some interesting info. It must have been hard getting interesting guests for both shows. I know for example BOTH Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay were on both shows.
@@jacquelinebell6201 It's because of this, why I don't really buy that Mia is as wholesome and moral as she makes herself out to be. She complains about Woody Allen (including the time he was honored with a Golden Globe) non-stop, but is silent on this subject. Why? Why does she not talk about this subject in her household? Does she think it's not that big of a deal? If anything, I'd say her brother was the one who molested Dylan, not Woody.
Regarding Eberhard Fuchs- fantastic what he and his team did- but who could have guessed back in 1965 what would eventually happen (1989)! It also sounds like that before there was Mark Spitz and Michael Phelps, there was Don Cholander! Whatever became of him?
3:00 I'm writing this before I see whom it is. #1 is so inept he mispronounced the town he's supposed to be from. Plus he doesn't look like an Olympic SwimmerUpdate: I chose #2. Update: so #1 is liar Mia Farrow's brother John Farrow. And get this; was sentenced to 10 years for abusing two boys in Maryland. Some real winners in that family.
I never do. Part of the fun of the comments is to see if people feel the same way about the show as you do. Also I like when people point out something I missed or didn't know.
I always look for this post so I know what the real one answers to the panel's question. The only other way would be to go back and rewatch the entire show.
From past shows, we know that this panel knows next to nothing about any sport. That being said, you would have thought that maybe 1 of the 4 would have watched some of the Olympic Games and seen Don Schollander. I watched him 56 years ago swim in those events. He is still alive at 76.
@@kristabrewer9363 Not sure this was his best platform. If you search you tube for some of his appearances on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson he is a fabulous story teller.
Don Schollander is alive and well and still living in Lake Oswego, OR! He runs a Real Estate Development Company.
I really admire Robert Q. Lewis, he is a real gentleman through and through.
He is obnoxious and overbearing. Conceited also.
I totally agree.
I agree. I've always liked Robert Q., even as I was growing up. And he does an excellent job in these episodes of TTTT, as with everything else.
5:52 Even when disquallified, Orson comes up with a witty gag. He's always funny. Love him.
ummmmm, ok
Orson was later on 'Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman.'
Orson was definitely hysterical. The show improved immensely when he was added to the panel. This was the CLASSIC TTTT panel. (So sad the way he died.)
@@davidfritz2957 Orson was great when he was on The Tonight Show, he was a terrific storyteller!
Me too.
Concerning Ebehart Fuchs, he did a great thing. Thank goodness that wall is NO MORE!!!
Incredible final story. All who worked on the tunnel deserved medals for their bravery and endurance for such a massive undertaking.
Robert Q can be seen on various shows throughout these years and he is always a delight to watch.
18:00 Whooee, that is one good-looking fellow!

Oh yeah, Snooks Rourk! She was on WML and her interactions with Steve Lawrence on the panel was too funny! 😂😂
Robert Q. Lewis !!!!! yea!!!!
Love him!
I actually laughed out loud at 3:38 when Tom asked the guy about "Olympic athlete" A.J. Foyt. A.J. Foyt was/is a championship race car driver!
One of the finest.
Apparently, first name was Wolfgang and not Eberhard:

Dang, the three Snooks Roarkes sure are easy on the eyes.
I chose number 1 fairly early in the game on tunneled under the Berlin Wall. The other two were quite good also.
The swimmer's record was broken by Mark Spitz and then by Michael Phelps Tho Phelps has made a great deal of cash from it
One of the impostors in Game 1 is John Charles Villers Farrow, the older brother of Mia Farrow.
Yes. And he went to jail for molesting boys in 2013. He is probably still there.
@@leesher1845 I'm stunned Mia, Ronan, and Dylan Farrow have no outrage over this.
@@VahanNisanian That is sad😢
Convicted of child molesting. 10 yrs. 15 yrs suspended. Should be out by now in 2023. Sad and mixed up family.

At 9:43 when Orson says "how are you Snooks". You can see his eyes scanning all 3 contestants to see their reaction.
And that’s what told me it was no.3. She didn’t look like she found it all funny and had probably heard it a thousand times.
So number 1 is Ronan Farrows uncle.
Regarding Eberhard Fuchs- fantastic what he and his team did- but who could have guessed back in 1965 what would eventually happen (1989)!

As of this writing he is alive and still living in Oregon. Believe me when I say that his accomplishments were very much the news of the time.
Snooks Roark appeared on What's My Line the year before.
I remember seeing Jay Sebring on here and he's the one that was murdered at Sharon Tates house by that Manson bunch of Devils.

That's Peggy's real hair !!!!
Correct name is Snooks Rourke.
Notice how the first group of guys pushed their chairs in, while the girls didn't?
sure but on other episodes i noted most guys don't
Today, they couldn't get enough celebrities who would be sympathetic to escapees from communism to be on the panel.
Man #3 in Game #1
Lady #3 in Game #2
Man #1 in Game #3

Robert Q was continually ajusting his glasses throughout the show. Seems by now he would have had a pair that fit him.
I suspect it had more to do with ensuring the various cameras didn't get the glare from them.
1:30 Hilarious...and Tragic.
For sure.
OMG!
I have to confess that with a name like "Snooks", I thought the contestants were going to be men. No offense intended of course.
I loved Orson Bean. Poor man got hit and killed by a car when he was elderly.
I had no idea!
Tragic- and totally uncalled for! 91 years old and he gets run over by 2 cars while out for an evening stroll!😭
Two cars. The first driver hit him, and the second didn't see him and ran over him.
R.Q.L! No Bu-ha-ha-ha-ha hud! Yay!
Haha...yup. Bud was such a square.
If you say so
Peggy is not very funny !!!!
Never liked Peggy OR Orson (I l liked him as an older person on Dr. Quinn, but never liked him on HERE)!

Here's Snooks on Whats My Line:

Her appearance on WML was far 'cuter' then here, but her payout ($500) on TTTT was much better then on WML ($50)
Thank you.
