      @@sumancapirichio1976 Far more better hardware and more software like quickshifter/cruise control/heated grips and all that; its more track focused or performance focused I suppose. Z900 is more of a street bike that you won't be pushing to the limits very often basically a daily driver - it's not a bad bike for the price but it does lack some stuff that makes RS very more appealing.

    The last year RS 765 model is not too bad :)
    What I see on the new 2023 is again:
    1. short front mud guard - all the water from the road gets on the radiator, I had to mount a protective grill and to extend the mud guard
    2. short back mud guard - all the water from the road gets up
    3. very nice feature from the back of the seat - all of the water from the road gets up, and then slides on seat to make wet the low part of my spine
    4. even short version of the added windshield makes huge difference on the road

  • @IN_ZANE_
    @IN_ZANE_ ปีที่แล้ว +2

    To everyone asking for a new Daytona, I think another 765 Daytona is unlikely and would be a mistake. It's not enough of a performance jump over previous gen 600's to be really popular as a street bike. Agree that a new Daytona would work but it needs to be a completely different bike, none of this overpriced I'm so special limited edition rubbish too. There's a hole in the market for people that want fairly comfortable street focused (occasional track day) supersport, something around ~190kg wet with ~150hp @wheel. TBF Triumph already had a go at filling this spot with the Speed Triple RR, but unfortunately it missed the mark with the ergonomics, weird retro flavour and went too fancy in parts and therefore too expensive, meaning it was priced similar to top end super bikes, but it wasn't. It's not an easy spot to fill for sure, can understand the reluctance for manufactures to take that risk too. Would love to buy another sports bike, but not really sold on the current ~200hp options for mostly street riding. Seems like it's all or nothing for sport bikes these days... Guess we'll all wait and see how the Yamaha R9 goes, hopefully other manufactures build on things from there... Whichever manufacturer works out that perfect balance for a next gen GSXR750 replacement will kill it for sure.

    I have always loved the Street Triple, I currently own a 2022 which is my third one. So when are improvements not really improvements? When does a street bike become a track bike? Is in a blur or a distinction? I think for Triumph to release a Moto 2 version is great, but that isn't really a street focused bike. The new RS is also a bit more track focused for a street rider. The R version is a great bike bike, but it's a price point version.
    I ride street not track, so I want a street focused bike with that being the sol purposed and all things dedicated to those duties. No track riding mode needed, and loose all the track handy features, spend the money on the following;
    Ditch the cyclops head light set up, yeah, both lights on for hi and low beams. I want visibility so even the idiot on their cell phone can see me.
    I want to be able to flash my headlights, you may be surprised how often that comes in handy.
    Give me adaptive headlights that turn on at 5 degrees and not so I have to drag my knee getting on and off the expressway.
    I want a horn that sounds like a freight train and not a cricket in distress.
    I want active suspension by Ohlin's, front and rear. Some municipalities are not very good at maintaining their streets, and I don't want riding on those roads to feel like a rough night in prison. I could just adjust my suspension every few miles or so...but that's ridicules.
    Give me low end and midrange power, with low speed maneuverability in bumper to bumper traffic that doesn't leave me at the mercy of some yahoo in a pickup truck. Having to rev to 10K RPMs isn't useful in the city. Take a Brutale 800RR for spin if you want to know what giddy up feels like.
    I want the best brakes Brembo makes. Oddly enough other vehicle and pedestrians think I already have them.
    I think a USB charging port is great, but my phone is attached to my handle bars so location, location, location.
    A small bit of wind protection is better than none, I know this is a naked bike, but the 2022 with front fairing and optional windscreen does help, it would be nice feature if I could attach my toll transponder to it as well.
    A smaller fuel tank is a bad idea I don't want to stop for fuel more often.
    Ergonomics for all day riding; I don't want to lean forward for hours and hours, so maybe having to stop for fuel more often is a possible solution, but I think Triumph can do better.
    Love the TFT display, information is great, but if you can't read it at a glance because of itty bitty characters is useless.
    Heated hand grips are, great on a cold day, unless all you have is lukewarm?
    I like tank grip pads, I would prefer graphics that don't get covered up when installed, keep that in mind.
    Oh hey how about a nice little tool kit and a place to store it.
    I'll stop for now unless you want to talk tires and service manuals.

    Great design and features on the new STRS. The red looks great, then yellow is interesting and the silver ice is a bit boring imo. Waiting/delivery times will probably be hell, which is why I’m actually getting a 2022/23 STRS in the beautiful carbon black/bronze color way, which my local triumph dealer still has in store. The only thing I’d really be missing, would be the cornering ABS and maybe the new seating position…

    • @BikesAndBatallas
      @BikesAndBatallas ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have the 2023 and don't regret getting it. The cornering ABS is something I'll miss and it should have had already, but I can live without it. By the way, if you look on Triumph's website and "configure" a new Striple they have cruise control as an option (for like 300). Basically it just replaces the cluster next to the throttle. I'm not going to spend money on cruise control since I use mine for commuting and just ripping around for fun, but people were clamoring for it and I'm guessing it's potentially backward-compatible. I doubt the six-axis IMU could be backward-compatible, but I'll probably ask the next time I take my bike in to the shop.

    • @Gojo1911
      @Gojo1911 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BikesAndBatallas thanks for the feedback. It’s great to hear from another streety fan.
      I actually ordered next year’s model, because my local dealer couldn’t store the carbon black/bronze one for me until spring (I would have paid right away).
      I would’ve had to take it immediately home, but the garage is full. Can’t wait to get mine in red.
      Don’t really care about cruise control either, but since it’s an option whoever needs it can order it.

    I think the middle naked sport bike class is really only what you need of power to be fun on the track and on the road. If you want to go +200 km/h you need a sport bike and it's safer and funnier to use it on the track and not on the road.

    I've owned the first gen 765rs for a while and moved over to the d675r for many reasons. I loved the 765rs but I really really hope triumph have finally sorted out the issues with leaking gaskets (stator cover and head gasket) which don't seem to go away unless you put a sealant on those bits. A fantastic fantastic bike otherwise. A factory aftermarket option for a ttx in the rear will REALLY seal the deal. That ohlins stx is not the best shock outside of a road environment tbh. The tendency to squat as a result of the valving + linkage is a bit of a bummer on an otherwise fantastic handling machine.
    The brakes. Omg the brakes. This bike will spoil EVERY other bike out there for you in the braking department.

      22' owner. Gasket on oil cooler leaked day 2, throwing oil all over the belly pan. Took it in, got it fixed. About a week later, it started leaking again.. 😒. Now they're going to replace the heat exchanger because it may be warped, but not one available in the US at the moment. Very frustrating.

    Can the optionnal cruise control kit be installed on 2020-22 models?

      I actually asked my Triumph shop yesterday (I had an off on my 2023, nothing big, but need to get a new brake pedal and FRH blinker lens) and they just ignored my question. The cruise control kid is like EUR 295 on their website; I don't see how it wouldn't be compatible with the 20-23s. I would also love to dream about the IMU being compatible, but I'm guessing that's a stretch.

    Please at least make a fairing kit as an (albeit expensive) accessory for the street triple! A bike that 'does it all' should offer wind protection for highway/longer rides too. The one thing lacking in an otherwise goldilocks bike.

    All this sounds funny when i look at my 2015 speed triple which has got just an ABS.
    Trust me when I say, the motorcycle still scares me. An amazing machine with a character of its own. Something that these electronics are taking away from you.

      @David Morrison you can indeed. The wheelie control is connected to traction control of the bike. If you turn off TC you will be able to wheelie without any electronic intervention.

    That new w anky hard to read tacho display is a BIG FAIL & put me off buying, theres no circular tacho with speed in the middle on the menu option like the old model had. Last thing i want to do is take my eyes off the road for several seconds ! It doesnt look that robust either 😢

    Great bike but I can't understand why Triumph delete the Daytona. The Street RS is a perfect start point for a new Daytona. You only need a fairing set and a new headlight. Very small investment for Triumph big gift for your fans. Why not?

  • @kignacio
    @kignacio ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Does the RS still have the horrible futuristic tachometer that was designed and/or approved by someone who doesn’t ride? Or did Triumph actually listen to us last generation RS critics who just want a simple round legible tach?
