    Lucille Ball was an iconic beauty who struggled until she finally earned success, she lived her life in public with no real help. She brought laughter and joy to millions over many years of her life. She deserves a better picture than the one you have on this video, I personally have never seen her in such a state, and using it as you have makes it appear as though that was her natural state. Show some respect for the legacy of love, laughter, family, and business that she has created and the many doors that she opened for others despite their race or gender.

    I still think the funniest saying
    was when Lucy said: "I got the gobloots from the booshoe bird!"
    My favorite though is still the "Candy Factory"!😅

    In her early career she was never a star she made a series of funny movies which were the basis for I Love Lucy. And did some great bits. Lucille Ball dragged herself through the 1940s because she was tough and would not give up. If I Love Lucy had never been she would have been forgotten a long time ago she did make history with that show turn on all the credit goes to her for pushing her way through.p

    She made more than 50 very bad movies. In most them, she was a blonde girlfriend of a mobster, in attempt to project her as a sex kitten. She made very little money and occasional stints as a prostitute. A director saw her do a couple of comic scenes, and she did a few minor comedies until Lucy came up with the idea for “I Love Lucy”, but no one would buy it because they didn’t want Cuban costar. They tried every studio and they refused to cast Desi. So they created their own production company.

    Pathalogical narrators bilking on someone else's fame, that's insane. She truly started with nothing and was willing to learn. She became one of the best even though many other stars were better actors, prettier and better connected.

      No I didn't know her but I had a friend who used to play backgammon with her after she retired she was very unhappy being retired. I think we all know that she kept the shows going a little longer than she needed to and then she did auntie Mame which was a total disaster

    • @russelltelesca6119
      @russelltelesca6119 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No Mame was not a disaster. It just wasn't the right movie to release in 1974. The movie has found a new life on DVD and Blu ray. Lucy was wonderful as Mame and I loved it.

      I saw name at radio City music Hall and it looked like she was photographed through linoleum. The edits and cuts with her dancing were so evident that she couldn't do it. I will agree that on the DVD she does look much better you can't see the blurring as much on the TV but she really shouldn't have made that film. I do enjoy watching it on TV occasionally so I'm not all bad

    The thing I most admire her for was giving up the glamour girl roles for which she had all the physical attributes recognizing comedy was where the opportunity was wide open for female's. She was certainly not wanting in the brains department aside from marrying a loser whom inexplicably she seemed to have really loved.No one can ever explain that! I loathed her comedy but admired her for her business acumen and intelligent business and career moves.
