    I was hit by an SUV making a turn into me while I was walking in a crosswalk and the force was sufficient to crush my tibia plateau, and wreck my aortic valve. Getting hit with anything moving in the chest can ruin your day; it did mine. I had to have two heart valve replacement surgeries over the last seven years and next week I get the titanium removed from my leg in preparation for a new knee joint. Still all in all a good demonstration.

    • @CloSeph
      @CloSeph 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@cosmicbilly most vests are still rated to stop 00 buck from maybe a foot away without fatal impact pressure. There's test videos on nij standards and European standards where blast buck into vests. 44mag is tough on the vests but survivable, I sincerely doubt the human body could handle 500sw even if the vest was catching the rounds.

    • @cosmicbilly
      @cosmicbilly 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CloSeph yeah forsure.. I can't imagine how brutal it would be to catch a 500 magnum slug in your vest like a catchers mit...
      Would probably feel like getting bucked by a giant horse or a mini semi truck..
      The hydrostatic shock would be insanely brutal.. Most definitely will have some internal bleeding and broken bones at the very least.
      And if by some chance the person did survive, they would probably wish they didn't lol its scary how much energy is transmitted upon impact.

    oh and also here onnie Elizabeth Parker (October 1, 1910 - May 23, 1934) and Clyde Chestnut Barrow (March 24, 1909 - May 23, 1934) were an American criminal couple who traveled the Central United States with their gang during the Great Depression, known for their bank robberies, although they preferred to rob small stores or rural funeral homes. Their exploits captured the attention of the American press and its readership during what is occasionally referred to as the "public enemy era" between 1931 and 1934. They are believed to have murdered at least nine police officers and four civilians. [1][2] A photo of Parker posing with a cigar came from an undeveloped roll of film that police found at an abandoned hideout, and the snapshot was published nationwide. Parker did smoke cigarettes, although she never smoked cigars. [3][notes 1] According to historian Jeff Guinn, the photos found at the hideout resulted in Parker's glamorization and the creation of myths about the gang.
    The 1967 film Bonnie and Clyde, directed by Arthur Penn and starring Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway in the title roles, revived interest in the criminals and glamorized them with a romantic aura.[4] The 2019 Netflix film The Highwaymen depicted the law's pursuit of Bonnie and Clyde.
