Hey man, I just wanted to say thanks for the great covers and playing. Im also 15 and play guitar so maybe we can do something in the future. Keep up the good work bro.
Hot damn, dude. You know, there are people who have rhythm and can keep time while playing, which is totally fine...and then there are people who can go beyond just simply playing and actually feel the music. You're in the latter camp for sure. I really hope Jimmy sees this and throws some kudos your way.
Cool seeing the youth listening to 90s music. That was my teenage music scene. I got to see the pumpkins in 96. Garbage and Veruca Salt opened for them.
@@juliancantdrum yeah dude it was cool. If was for the infinite sadness tour. They were gonna come on a certain date but had to cancel and reschedule due to Jimmy Chamberlain drug addiction and the passing away of the keyboardist at the time. When I seen them it wasn’t a disappointment. I seen alot of 90s bands. If you haven’t, check out the band called “Hum”. They have an album called “so you’d prefer and astronaut”. Every song is great and the drumming is pretty awesome.
@@juliancantdrum Hell yeah! Thanks to those 32nd singles on Quiet, and a great teacher out of NY, I was able to get my singles happening. Chamberlain is the only drummer for The Pumpkins. I’m sure he’d be proud
I was a huge Pumpkins fan back in the day and this was one of my top favorite songs from them. MASSIVE props for pulling it off so well, especially considering a 4 piece kit instead of Jimmy’s big kit. Now, try it at the tempo that they did it live like in Earphoria! Crazy how much they sped it up.
@@rianelliott1 Happy you liked it bro! Yea man, the pumpkins live- at least the old pumpkins would speed up tunes tremendously. The energy is so awesome tho in live recordings.
Excellent job! One of my favorite Smashing Pumpkins songs. You nailed the parts and dynamics! I enjoyed your cover of Pearl Jam's "Go" as well. Would love to see you cover something off of Gish! 🤘
MY GUY!! One of the few people that ive seen who have played the ride cymbal pattern so crispy like you did during the solo. I dont know if its your mic placement but its soo damn good, like even on the album that pattern doesnt get the justice it deserves, its so neil peartish, Chamberlin is a master and you perfexted it!
Really solid cover. Not many drummers could do this at 15. This is right up there with Delta Empire's cover. It's not even worth your time responding to those pointing out any flaws. Spend that time practicing.
This one’s not easy! I’ve watched tons of videos of people doing this song and you played it incredibly well! Plus you managed to get a decent pumpkins sound/ vibe on your kit too 😊
wow man! love the left foot action. if you haven't heard of one day as lion, check them out. john theodore from queens and mars volta played the drums on it. would love to see how you would play the song "last letter" maybe i could learn the ghost stroke technique on the snare from watching you!!
Hell yeah. Consider lowering the hi-hat, that way you get a nice little tap from above in there instead of a full force slush, it offsets the groove a little. I'm only nitpicking because you did very good.
you're very good, but I don't understand why you leave an empty snare hit to replace it with the crash hit, during the chorus, it's very bad to hear, it seems like something is missing from the groove of the main riff, or that you forget to hit it, almost it was an execution error instead of your choice. remember that you have two hands and that you can hit the snare drum with your free one.
@@juliancantdrum lol, but what does that have to do with anything? 🤣 So in order to give you an opinion, a person necessarily has to have a cover of the same song on his channel? what a weak argument boy.. I just gave you my opinion and made constructive criticism, I didn't offend anyone, if you didn't agree with my opinion it was enough for you to argue your answer without acting offended. You're a good drummer but maybe you should get better at communicating with your users. ..or maybe we just need to praise you? wait, I'll rewrite my comment then.. "wao, you are amazing!!! I love your drumming, you are a god!!! please can I bow to your skill??" lol
@@Bigmonster198 That has to do with a lot. You coming here and finding something so tiny to point your finger at, probably as an older individual who probably doesn’t even play drums, is nothing but laughable.
