Geek USA Drum Cover - Carson Degner

Here is a cover I did 2.5 years ago of this Smashing Pumpkins classic. It was recorded in January 2021 and lost until now. I found it on my computer and thought I'd share. I am a huge fan of Jimmy Chamberlin's part on this track and think it is some of his finest work.

This is phenomenal. I have a nearly identical drumset, '78 Ludwig 5 piece in black diamond pearl. The keystone badges on yours make me think they are considerably older though...early to mid 60s? Gorgeous kit and fantastic playing my man!

The cymbals and kick sound fantastic.. like well above average for this type of setup. But.. your snare is too deep for that kinda attack.. and I normally like the deeper snare sound.
You’d excel with thinner and tighter.. it almost forces you to stagger hit timing.
Regardless.. you really nailed it. You understand the dynamics of power and timing, which makes a good drummer a great drummer.
