Failure to return a rental truck on time is vehicle theft. Any damage repairs is grounds for a lawsuit. Why risk it just to be stubborn. As soon as it was evident that Spetaculoid was going to stiff OP they should of had the car towed.
@@jonathanj8303 No, "borrowing" it without permission and then returning it, or potentially some types of using the truck for an unapproved use, etc, would be conversion, but failure to return it at the end of the contract is actually unauthorized possession, which legally constitutes vehicle theft, and most rental companies will actually report it as such to the police. I'm really not sure why these guys didn't just do that...
First story reminded me the story of a friend's story who bought a new fridge after he got married. The old fridge didn't have any problems but it was for a person only, not a couple. He left his fridge in his yard with a note "Fully working fridge. Free for anyone who wants it" People would go, notice it, check it but nobody wanted to pay to move it. Then he put a new sign that it said "Fully working fridge.200 euros" The fridge was stolen the same night
S3: oh that server is for sure a nepotism hire and the managers hands are tied, only way for a nepotism hire to get fired is for someone to bark up the ladder to someone higher than the person that pulled the strings to get the person hired
And simply dumped all the guys belongings in the compound....or even the street where he got the truck jammed. The rental company is not responsible for the customer's property.
A few years ago my boss upgraded her washer and put the old one out in front of her house with a sign saying, "WORKS - FREE". It was there for three days. She was about to have it hauled away when she thought she'd try something else. She changed the sign to " $25 WORKS". The machine was gone by the next morning. I also LOVE the idea of posting large photos of people who have been banned from various establishments.
Story 2: "If it's in the store it's for sale" and "there's no tag on it, then it must be free" people can go play in highway traffic. And I will tell you from experience that people who've never worked in retail don't understand that the store is private property that they allow the public to access. That's why they don't leave when they're told to.
Yup. One day I was cleaning out the garage with my wife and we left some of the stuff outside while we went to get some fast food. When we got back, we saw, I kid you not, a tricycle with some bags loaded onto it, that contained some of the stuff. Of course when he saw us coming, he quickly jumped on and pedaled away. We didn't bother to go after him because It was all stuff we had been planning to toss or give away anyway, and if the guy had just asked us we would have helped him load his trike or even driven the stuff to wherever he wanted. We just laughed and yelled a thank you.
Story 1 - My family had a pool table after we moved from California to our new home 30 years ago, the previous owners left it because they didn’t want it anymore. We played with it for years until we stopped using it, then it became a laundry table, wrapping table, then eventually a cutting board table for my mom’s sewing (she placed another board on top of it) Then after 15 years she sold it to a new neighbor who picked it up from our house.
13:17 Story time! When I was 10, my aunt and her family came to stay with us for the summer. One day during their visit, it was decided that all the girls would go out for lunch, including my grandma and my other aunt. A total of 7 people. We were split into two groups, a table with the grownups, and a table with me, my sister, and my cousin. Because the restaurant was fairly crowded for lunch, we were not seated in tables next to each other. My table was seated around the corner from where the grown-ups were seated. Basically out of line of sight. The waiter who took care of both orders was aware that our tables were one party, and we all got served at the same time. My mom checked to be sure we were ok, then headed back to her table. We were having fun, acting all grown up, starting in on our meals. All five minutes after we started eating, a different waiter suddenly came over and started taking our plates away. We were protesting, telling him we’d just started eating. He refused to listen to anything we were saying and cleared the table, then asked us to leave! I started shouting, my sister and cousin were crying, which got my mom’s attention, as well as front management and our original waiter. Once we were calmed down, I explained what the new waiter did, and that we were never given a chance to eat our meal. Thankfully other diners were able to confirm the situation. We got new orders, meal comped, and free dessert.
Wow! What a jerk! He assumed that just because you were young, that you probably couldn't pay or he thought he could make you leave, so he could seat another party there. 🤬
With having the customer call the head office, I wonder if the waitress was the daughter of someone higher in the company, supposed to be learning to business from the ground up, and felt too important to be working serving tables.
14:50 They gave a guy notice and kept him working there? Are they nuts? If you need to fire a guy and his contract says he's entitled notice, just pay him the two weeks or whatever in lieu. Disgruntled employees are not good to have around.
This sounds like it was probably a situation where they "worked out a deal" or some such, because they didn't have quite enough justification to fire him (or it would be annoying for other reasons), so they just convinced him to quit before he got to the point of actually being fired, and did the normal two-week exit so that they would have time to cover his shifts, hire somebody else, etc, before he was gone. If he didn't do anything really bad, there isn't a huge risk of him being able to screw anything up too bad in the meantime, and both sides just agreed that it was better for him to find a job somewhere else, that sort of thing does sometimes happen.
The last story: I stopped caring because they should have called the police to report that person for thief. This isn’t a case of the customer being right. This is about a company being too lenient with an entitled man by allowing him to call the shots regarding their property. This company doesn’t need to be in business because it’s apparent that they don’t know what they’re doing.
Yeah. We found that particular company to be a wee bit inept when we moved last year. Moved a couple of states away and my husband rented trucks on a couple of occasions and got a storage unit for some things we didn't want the professional movers to take. First, he went to the website. Found a rental place very close to where we lived. Called the rental place more than once. Finally found out that it was no longer part of the franchise and didn't have any trucks to rent. He called customer service to let them know the franchise was still on the website and the rep basically said, "Wut?" She couldn't understand why he would be reporting it. Found another rental place. Tried to rent trucks. At least once they didn't have the truck they promised him. Okay. Fine. He had also rented a storage unit (same company) in the new community but when he went to put things in it, they suddenly didn't have one to rent. They had two that were recently vacated but they weren't cleaned yet. He finally was able to get a unit in a different rental place but had to drive around in an unfamiliar place without GPS to find it. The problem with that company is that the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. We also had issues with the moving company, a whole 'nuther can of worms.
Many, many years ago in my trucking days I stopped at a no name diner in western Pa. for a meal. Went in, decided I'd like some spaghetti, so placed my order. Waitress brings my order out, sets it down in front of me (I'm at the counter), and I ask her if they have any crushed red pepper. She heads into the kitchen and then returns with a shaker of red pepper that looked to be years old, as it was that pale. I tasted some of it, and it had no heat at all, so I asked her if they had any newer , and off she went into the kitchen again. Suddenly, and old woman (later found out she she was the owner) marches out with a restaurant size (the big 'uns you see at the clubs) container of that ancient red pepper that's about 1/4 full, walks over in front of me, unscrews the cap, and promptly dumps the whole thing on my spaghetti. Right behind her was the waitress, who looked like she was about to die from embarrassment, and after my surprise wore off, I just staryted laughing, stuck mt fork in the spaghetti that was then buried by the red pepper, twirled a bunch of it and the red pepper, and proceeded to just go to town on it, as I already knew that it had no heat. Shocked the hell out of owner and waitress when I polished the whole mess off and didn't say a word about it. When I was finished, I told the waitress that I guessed they'd finally be getting some fresh pepper for the next time I visited (which I never did).
If a manager asks you to call corporate concerning an employee, it usually means the employee is "connected", and the manager isn't allowed to do much (if anything) without being fired themselves.
One of the reasons it's so expensive to move a Pool/Billiards/Snooker Table is because they are made with thick, slate tops that are VERY heavy and very fragile... They can also be difficult to properly set up because they need to be perfectly level in both directions (length and width) or the balls won't roll properly and it's much harder to play the game...
Pool table story: There is nothing so expensive as when it's "free". Fluff, that's a GREAT IDEA! And I love it. Car story: Contrary to popular belief, not everything is for sale, regardless of how much you offer. The fact that the idiot got himself arrested over it is just the cherry on top. Plate story: I'm a retired truck driver. I've spent more than a few holidays out on the road instead of being home with my family. I was always thankful for the truck stop and restaurant staff that worked those holidays to make things easier for us drivers who had to be on the road by giving up a part of their family time to serve us. I suspect that particular waitress had an "in" with somebody high up and was mostly untouchable by the local manager. He why she wanted OP to call corporate. Rental story: I hope they put THEIR lock on the storage unit so Spectaculoid can't access his stuff. Too bad they didn't think to place chains or a wheel lock on his car. I hope they at least got a good address so they can serve him for a lawsuit to recover for the damages he caused.
Decades ago, I think back in the 70s, there was a garbage workers strike in New York City that lasted for weeks. Garbage was piled in the streets. One guy figured out how to get rid of his. Each night, he'd take his garbage, put it in a big box, wrap it in gift wrap with a big bow, then drive into the city and park his car with the box on the front seat and the windows down. He'd go have a cup of coffee and when he returned, the box was always gone.
Story 1 - I feel for OP in this one. While I can understand the potential buyer asking what’s wrong with the pool table that’s listed for free but everything else is like ‘Can You Not READ What It Says?!’ Some people are just lazy. Also that’s pretty funny how a lady got rid of her broken TV.😂
It was about 40 years ago; I was about 20 years old. I had taken a date out to a local pizza place for lunch. While we were sitting there, we watched the one cook preparing a pizza. Whether that one was ours or not didn't really matter. Ww watched him put the pizza sauce on and then he started to put the cheese on. While putting the cheese on, the guy sneezed right over top of the pizza. When we saw him do that, we both got up and walked out. I know I should have said something, but I was still young and wanted to avoid a conflict. But, if I saw someone do something like that today, you wouldn't be able to keep my mouth shut. I never went back to that pizza shop again.
Story 1: These Kevins clearly didn't read the advert. Story 2: Kevin got everything he deserved. Story 3: What a strange situation... Story 4: Kevin was taking the mickey or pulling a scam. He needs to be blacklisted.
I never really understood the idea of calling them "kevins".. it just doesn't have the same feeling to it (most of the people named Kevin I've ever known have been pretty cool guys, actually), and seems completely unnecessary. Just call the male ones "karens" too. (IMHO it's actually even better because it would probably piss them off even more to know that's how they're being referred to..) (IMHO, it should also be "karen" with a lowercase "K", because at this point it's not a proper noun anymore, it's just a descriptive term (the same as "jerk" or "asshole"), but I know that most people don't think about grammar in as much detail as I do...)
LOLz ... I once put a bicycle out with a "FREE" sign on it, and it sat there for three days. Put a sign that said "$10" on it, and it was gone before the end of the day (no, I never saw the person who took it, which I expected. Why steal something that has no value, y'know?) 🤣
Third story brought back this great memory in Dunkin Donuts many years ago when they were packed like usual, we ordered some doughnuts and the person picking them from the trays behind the counter was sucking icing from the doughnuts off of her fingers before handing the bag to the customer. We walked right out upon seeing this and drove back onto the turnpike far away from this Dunkin. I forgot to mention the person picking them was not wearing gloves or using the parchment paper sheets, just going bare handed.
Story 1: reminds me of the trouble we went through selling off my deceased father’s power tools on Facebook Marketplace. People from as far away as Reno were inquiring about which tools, how much, would we hold them until they got paid, etc. We stated first come first serve! Honestly, it became so ludicrous how entitled people were acting. We just wanted the stuff gone, but we eventually sold off everything, on top of the power tools. Then my sister and I went out to dinner, just so we could relax!
The haggling on MP is atrocious. I get making an offer but if I say no or make a counter offer, don't start yelling at me saying that it's too much and they can get it cheaper elsewhere. Then do that and stop bothering me.
There is a youtuber that I watch a couple of video that was doing "beggar chooser" and that kind of story where they put something free on pickup and are been asking to send it or deliver it seems to be a frequent occurence. People doesn't seems to register what they read.. or don't read... and than arg about it!
Granddad told me once "You never realize how many friends you really have until you buy a pickup truck." When he passed away in 2004, he was still kicking himself for selling his Ford model TT truck back in the '50s.
Story 2 The reason why the Male karen would rather get arrested is because he is so arrogant & feels so entitled to the car, he cannot get it though his thick head the cars not for sale & has no engine. Thats why he won't even listen to his wife even though Op told him plenty of times. I've met people like that, once they feel entitled to something they won't listen or budge, just go over the same script going over in their head & its infuriating to deal with them. Especially when they copp the consequences & play victim.
I’ve also met people like this, they absolutely cannot acknowledge reality, if it doesn’t go according to their half baked wishes…(they can be quite exhausting, & even stupidly dangerous)…
I heard a story were a man bought a new bigger refrigerator. So the man put his old refrigerator on his fron porch with a sign saying free refrigerator works great. After a week the refrigerator was still setting there. So he wrote a new sign saying refrigerator for sale one hundred dollars. The next day he woke up and the refrigerator was gone.😮😂
We don't even have to put broken things in a box. Just put it beside the road, someone will get it before the city does. I once had a server at a fast food place that used her ungloved fingers to keep the ice in the cup while pouring out the liquid so she could refill it with Sprite instead of Coke. Needless to say, I had several things to say about that.
Not where I live. If you put something out on the curb, people will assume it's junk and it just says there. But if it's in a box, it must be something somebody wants, so it'll go _poof_ in no time. And I don't see what the problem is with the "ungloved fingers". Food workers are required to regularly wash their hands for exactly that reason. In many many restaurants none of the people who handle the food wear gloves at all (in fact, typically, the better the restaurant, the less likely anybody's wearing gloves), and it's perfectly fine and doesn't cause any health issues. People get hung up on the weirdest things...
@@foogod4237 Would you want her fingers in your drink after she has handled money and every other conceivable thing? Apparently, my hygiene standards are just a bit higher than yours. Also, having worked in a fast food restaurant, I would never think of doing that. Pour it all out and start over. As far as the stuff by the road, people will pick it up if it made of metal or other useful things for recycling. Otherwise, the city will pick it up. I know one guy that picks up metal and I usually have something for him to get.
@@asherdales Either way, those hands had been handling money and other things. Perhaps my hygiene standards are a little above average. Just because the sign says that employees must wash their hands after using the restroom, I'm going to take the chance.
OMG a good friend of mine works at Swiss Chalet , he would be appalled at that . If it doesn't look right to him ,,, it's a no go , He has worked in food service all his life JS
Several years ago, there was this guy that would take empty TV boxes he saw on the curb and replace the TVs with old oven doors and then sell them from the back of his truck, the buyers assuming they were stolen.
Story 2. It's $379,673.57 dollars. Will that be cash or charge? Story 3. NEVER eat at a place where the staff is mad at you!!! Leave everything on the table and walk out! When you don't get food poisoning, you will be glad you left.
Story 2 sounded like the guy knew what the car was, knew it's price when fixed up and working, and it's why he wanted it. It wasn't for his child, it was for him to make an even bigger profit from, and sure it could of been something that wasn't and he didn't know what it was but only thought of profit. So if he could buy it for cheap then get it working then it's fine, but I think the reason he was like "I want it and it's my hill to die on." Is because he knew what it was and how much it could be if done right.
I'm pretty sure anybody who actually knew anything at all about cars wouldn't say things like "if it doesn't have an engine, then how did you get it in here?", or be trying to start a car that he was already told didn't even have an engine in it...
@@foogod4237 I meant as in what the car was, like a 67' Shelby Mustang GT500. Cause it's never stated what the car was and why the guy wanted it so bad, it could of been a rare car he wanted to fix up and flip it. Just never know.
@@sodajesus8128 Yeah, I get that, but what I meant is I have a hard time believing that anybody who knew enough to even _know what a Shelby Mustang GT500 is_ (let alone be able to recognize one on sight, or think he had a prayer of fixing one up well enough to sell it) wouldn't be so obviously ignorant about basic aspects of cars in general.. Plus, it was pretty clear that the poster did know something about cars and would probably have said something if there was anything at all about that car that would have made it that kind of special...
Story 3 reminded me of this gem that my friend witnessed many years ago. He had been shopping in Manchester city centre (England,U.K.) and was hungry, so he went into one of the big department stores - it was likely to be Woolworths. From where he was sitting he could see into the kitchen where the door was wedged open. He waited for a waiter for a while and another man finished his meal and went to pay. This chap had left 2 sausages with a bit of mashed potato on them with gravy over the top. A waiter picked up the plate, walked into the kitchen area, picked up the sausages, washed them under running water and put them back in the fryer and then put the plate down. He came out to my friend and said “What would you like to order ?” My friend said “After seeing what you do with left-over food, I’ve lost my appetite thank you !” He never went there again ! The store caught fire in 1979 and 9 shoppers and 1 member of staff died in it. It was remodelled and reopened but closed for good in 1986. Woolworths in the U.K. went bankrupt in 2008 and most of the stores closed in 2009
My parents had a truck topper they listed for free in the front yard and nobody wanted it. Soon as they listed it for $100.00 with the price on it in the yard it was stolen that night at about 3am since the thieves woke me up since it was outside my window. Woke my parents up and to make sure they took the topper my folks turned the lights on making the thieves work faster. We watched as they loaded the topper on a trailer quickly and sped off. Well it got rid of the topper we never wanted. Funny how nobody wants free stuff but as soon as you put a price on it they steal it.
That rental story has to bee 100% fake. They should have called the police, had him arrested for theft and fined for all the damages and his car towed! Why weren't they called in all those days! I know police are inadequate but seriously!?
My sister uses the “put unwanted things outside to get rid of them for free” trick, but it doesn’t always work (I think there are 2 chairs that are STILL sat there after several months, maybe a year or more)
Truck story: He had too much stuff and wanted a mobile storage unit or a storage unit upgrade for free. How he got it in between the buildings was that he put it in neutral and pushed it in. Which he did to try and both hide it and try to get them to give up on recovery. Same with taking the starter out. That guy needs to be taken to court for all the damage he did to the vehicle plus lost revenue.
S3: That waitress had connections someone higher up then the manager who helped. Judging by how quick Corporate handled it, I’m assuming it’s a corporate ran store so more than likely that manager would of been on the chopping block if the higher ups caught wind it was her who called.
A company I worked for had a lawnmower the maintenance guy used to mow small parts of the property. One summer he couldn't get it to work so it was suggested he just put a "free" sign on it and leave it by the curb. Two days go by and nobody takes it. I suggested he put a sign on it that says $200 or best offer. It was stolen within 30 minutes!
a manager of a trailer park found that out.. he would put old non working refrigerators out by the road with a 'free' sign on it.. guess they might ahve been worth something for scrap... they never budged. so he put 'refrigerator, $50.00' sign on them. they disappeared the first night
Story 3: I’d flag down a server, ask for the manager, tell them what happened, walk out, and then post the experience on Yelp if that happened to me. I refuse to eat somewhere where the staff act like that
The only problem with the porch pirate solution to unwanted items is that they're not going to take it to a depot either. They're going to chuck it in a ditch somewhere to rot and pollute.
Story 4: Honestly, I don't understand why any of them even let it go that far. If he did not return the truck by the end of the day, and stopped taking all calls, the next morning I would have just called the police, reported the truck as a stolen vehicle, given them his name, driver's license number, address, and phone numbers, and then called a towing company to remove his personal car from the parking lot and impound it. Once the truck was recovered and all the additional damage was known, I would then have asked the police to add vandalism charges to the list, and started a civil lawsuit to recover compensation both for all the necessary repairs, and potential lost income from not being able to rent out the truck to other people while it's being fixed.
Story 1, NEVER ever give anything for free, if you want to give something away with a price that is reasonable but still on the low side as it keeps these idiots away who end up just wasting your time. And then when someone who actually want to buy it contacts you, if it is something they need to pick up just tell them to come get it, or just take enough to cover the delivery.
Reminds me of a video where a guy was trying to get rid of an old desk and left it on the cub to take for free but no one took it for weeks. Then he put a $25 price tag on it and it was "stolen" in half an hour lol.
Story 2: I'd have in the end tell him that he can buy it AS IS, as in he gets a tow truck here in under an hour while I winch the engine down and set it down in the engine compartment so he can hook it back up later on, and he pays me the wad of cash and he gets the car in it's current condition with no warranty/insurance/guarantees/return possible. Then I'd wait a week to see if he lists it for sale, which he probably will once the wife stops yelling at him long enough, then I'd offer him 1/4 of what he paid, otherwise he can keep the -lawn ornament- car.
Story 4: I think a lot of this drama could have been avoided if he just bought a truck instead of renting it. Instead we get all of this ghosting and damage, alongside 20 thousand excuses
Story 2: I would make sure the guy stayed banned, but the wife would be allowed, as long as he wasn't with her. She didn't do anything wrong to warrant a ban. Unlike other stories where the wife backs the spouse, she was just the opposite and tried to get him out of the store too
Story 1: What's the joke? You put something out on the curb labeled as free and everyone thinks there's a catch. Put a price tag on it and it's "stolen" within an hour.
i saw a vid where this couple was trying to give away a free table. left it out front of their house for weeks and no one took it. Put a sign on it saying $50 and it was gone same day
1st story it could also be said that it was the cautious buyers waiting for someone to foot the bill for the Moving of it in order to be sure that the seller at least believed it was worth the cost of transfer
I had a bizarre thing happen at a used car dealer once. I drove by this place, and they had three vehicles I was interested in. One was a gorgeous 1967 Oldsmobile Delta 88 just like the one my mom had when I was little. (For reference, this happened around 1990.) They also had a nice hardtop Jeep CJ7, and an older F-150 4x4. I would have bought any of them if the price was right. But according to the guy at the lot, zero of three of them were for sale. 🤨 This happened in Upstate NY, I'm whiter than sour cream, and so was the guy at the lot. Still scratching my head over that one.
The server story has me wondering; if they called the next morning from Christmas Eve, e we old there have even been someone to pick up on Christmas Day?🤔
Maybe, hard to say.. a lot of large corporations have phone coverage even on holidays, because they operate their phone centers out of other places that celebrate different holidays, etc, anyway. It's also possible that by "the next morning" they really meant "the next morning that we actually expected them to be open" (i.e. maybe they actually waited until Boxing Day instead). (Personally, I probably would have had more important things to do on Christmas morning than call and complain anyway, so I probably would have waited for a day or two, but when recalling stories like this those sorts of details often get misremembered or glossed over, because it's not really critical to the story anyway...)
Story 2 If that guy was so intent on getting junkyard car for him and his son to have a project to bond over why not go to an actual JUNKYARD, which would probably be cheaper then him asking for them two name their price for a car the they said WAS NOT FOR SALE.
I think you missed the fact that the truck was apparently wedged tightly _between two buildings_ (in a narrow alley or some such, I'd guess) which would mean that _both_ the driver and passenger side doors would not be able to be opened. My guess is that he probably spent a fair bit of effort squeezing himself out of the window, and then couldn't even get back in later...
Budget/Dollar/Enterprise rented me a car. It made it about 30 miles and broke down. I sat in the Nevada desert for 3 hours in July. 🤬 Rent accordingly.
Pool table story: Is the U-Haul no longer a thing in America? I mean. Rent a freaking van and go get it. I am sure the OP's parents would have gladly helped to carry the table to the van. And renting a van and having the sisu to do moving stuff yourself is a lot cheaper.
S2: its a mix of self entitlement, non functioning brain cells and a complete lack of common sense, and sadly that trifecta of stupidity is getting more and more common
Story 4: are there workplaces that give 2 week notices for firing someone? Usually people leave same day. The rest of the story is nuts too, but that’s beyond explanation
i bet you Spectaculid didnt want to use truck to move into new home. he wanted to make the moving truck his new home. he somehow wedged it in between the buildings. thinking it would be impossible for them to get it out.
LS: This infuriated me. Not just the AH, but everyone else for enabling the trouble for so damn long. No wonder douche got away so easily. The company’s just a bunch of spineless workers.
I am actually more confused at the last company than I am with that idiot. His car should have been towed and the truck should have been reported stolen. Like wtf, why were they being so enabling?
3rd; I once many years ago had a Bad server, so when I paid I left her 2 Cent Tip{ For you youngsters that come from the old saying "Your only Worth 2 Cents"} Instead of the normal $2.☺.... The Last Fake story, 1st since that is a Major Truck rental company, they would have Immediately towed the Truck in, with all his stuff still in it, and Charged him Storage fee's, Late Rental Fee's, Destruction of Property, also Repair Costs, AND He wouldn't get his Property back Until all was Paid! Oh, and all properties like this are Fenced in, for Rental Property, is separate Fencing!🤔👮♂..
20:43 My knowledge of cars and similar vehicles barely extends beyond when one is upside down or not, and even i would know that the vehicle not starting is enough for RSA to come out.
Failure to return a rental truck on time is vehicle theft. Any damage repairs is grounds for a lawsuit. Why risk it just to be stubborn. As soon as it was evident that Spetaculoid was going to stiff OP they should of had the car towed.
Unfortunately no, it's conversion. Which is why the cops typically take no interest and it's so hard to actually get the cars back and compensation.
Should have had it towed immediately if it was actually blocking an entrance like that.

….why did last story not end in a lawsuit? Or a police call for theft and damage of property?

They let this go for way too long. They should’ve towed the dudes car and sent the police after they got blocked.
Am I the only one who spends the entire video looking at the moon, waiting for Santa to pass by?
No, you're not alone in this, me too 🤣
I also watch the moon. Merry Christmas to you all.
I didn't notice at first, but now I can't stop
No, I always look to see what Dark Fluff has for Christmas, Fall, etc.
I remember watching rSlash reading r/choosingbeggars and one joke he always says is "free is too expensive" and that always sticks with me
Pool Table - OP’s mom idea was genius.Way to go, mom! 👍
WOW, that’s messed up!What was that second waiter’s issue? I wonder if he got fired?
Wow! What a jerk! He assumed that just because you were young, that you probably couldn't pay or he thought he could make you leave, so he could seat another party there. 🤬
@@kitarrah1422 well hes not allowed to do that
@@mattschehr163 I know. That's why I called him a jerk. I hope he was fired.
What? Why?
3rd story: It sounds like a waitress who wanted to claim unemployment benefits and is trying to be fired.
But I still don't know what the sweet potato fries have to do with the story.
Dont you mean the server is wanting to be smacked over the head with the offending plate.
With having the customer call the head office, I wonder if the waitress was the daughter of someone higher in the company, supposed to be learning to business from the ground up, and felt too important to be working serving tables.
Should have listened longer, that was said just after I paused!😄
@@leahmccreery4823 100% this, no other explanation for the manager to be unable to fire her there on the spot. Nepobaby was protected.
Thank you for all you do! Im sick with covid in the end, at least I have you guys while I'm healing!

Well that sucks. I feel for you, I have a sinus/respiratory infection myself and I'm miserable.

lilbeanme Which end are you sick in?
@@daerdevvyl4314
😳 Sounds extremely unpleasant.
Which end indeed.
Yep, definite nepo hire.
Final Story - WHHYYYYY DIDN’T THEY GET THE POLICE INVOLVED!?
Truth is stranger than fiction.
(IMHO it's actually even better because it would probably piss them off even more to know that's how they're being referred to..)
(IMHO, it should also be "karen" with a lowercase "K", because at this point it's not a proper noun anymore, it's just a descriptive term (the same as "jerk" or "asshole"), but I know that most people don't think about grammar in as much detail as I do...)
LOLz ... I once put a bicycle out with a "FREE" sign on it, and it sat there for three days. Put a sign that said "$10" on it, and it was gone before the end of the day (no, I never saw the person who took it, which I expected. Why steal something that has no value, y'know?) 🤣
People are so weird.
The first story is like very choosy beggars 😂
3:54 what a 1,000 IQ play
That first story is exactly why I own a truck and trailer
But how many people beg and plead to you to help them move?
@ touche
There is a youtuber that I watch a couple of video that was doing "beggar chooser" and that kind of story where they put something free on pickup and are been asking to send it or deliver it seems to be a frequent occurence. People doesn't seems to register what they read.. or don't read... and than arg about it!
@@marcelrobinson "A friend will help you move. A true friend will help you move a body."

If my server did that they'd be walking out unemployed.
This is why you threaten them with "Leave now or I will call the Police!" But, if that doesn't work, get Security to escort them out.
I’ve also met people like this, they absolutely cannot acknowledge reality, if it doesn’t go according to their half baked wishes…(they can be quite exhausting, & even stupidly dangerous)…
Story 4 just…mnngghhh… 😣 My head hurts trying to make even the slightest bit of sense of that dudes “logic”

As odd as it sounds, gloves often are worse for food safety. People don't change them thinking "my hands are clean so the gloves are clean."
He came out to my friend and said “What would you like to order ?”
My friend said “After seeing what you do with left-over food, I’ve lost my appetite thank you !”
He never went there again !
My dog looked at the screen with interest. I think she has a new ambition🍭
Your dog wants to trash a U-Haul? Or eat a cartoon sheep?
That rental story has to bee 100% fake. They should have called the police, had him arrested for theft and fined for all the damages and his car towed! Why weren't they called in all those days! I know police are inadequate but seriously!?
I am also absofunkinlutely baffled why the truck rental place didn't get police involved. I'm wondering if they are shady, too.
My sister uses the “put unwanted things outside to get rid of them for free” trick, but it doesn’t always work
(I think there are 2 chairs that are STILL sat there after several months, maybe a year or more)
Truck story: He had too much stuff and wanted a mobile storage unit or a storage unit upgrade for free.
Story 3 seems that waitress was punished like a soldier, she stepped out of line, and the entire platoon got punished for her mess up
Story 3: I’d flag down a server, ask for the manager, tell them what happened, walk out, and then post the experience on Yelp if that happened to me. I refuse to eat somewhere where the staff act like that
The only problem with the porch pirate solution to unwanted items is that they're not going to take it to a depot either. They're going to chuck it in a ditch somewhere to rot and pollute.
I remember a story about someone loading Amazon boxes with used kitty litter and leaving it on the porch for pirates
13:38 “Spectaculoid” 🤣🤣
Story 2: of course not everything in a store is for sale. You don't go to a store and expect to buy the shelves or the cash register.🙄
If S2 had a postscript, it would probably be: Ricky got a Honda. Husband got divorce papers. Wife got her sanity back.
Story 1: we had a basketball hoop we wanted to get rid of, we advertised 200 but it had to be removed by the customer it was gone in three days
Dude is either using medication he shouldn't, or not using medication that he should.
Story 1 is why I don't listen stuff for sale online anymore
After getting the truck back, anything in that truck should have became their property since it was left there.
Story 4: I think a lot of this drama could have been avoided if he just bought a truck instead of renting it. Instead we get all of this ghosting and damage, alongside 20 thousand excuses
That company was far too lenient
Story 2: I would make sure the guy stayed banned, but the wife would be allowed, as long as he wasn't with her. She didn't do anything wrong to warrant a ban. Unlike other stories where the wife backs the spouse, she was just the opposite and tried to get him out of the store too
Story 1: What's the joke? You put something out on the curb labeled as free and everyone thinks there's a catch. Put a price tag on it and it's "stolen" within an hour.
I have the opposite problem in my neighborhood. People are just too nice. We never get porch pirates or anything of the sort.
i saw a vid where this couple was trying to give away a free table. left it out front of their house for weeks and no one took it. Put a sign on it saying $50 and it was gone same day
1st story it could also be said that it was the cautious buyers waiting for someone to foot the bill for the
Moving of it in order to be sure that the seller at least believed it was worth the cost of transfer
I would have had that car towed or booted to force him to deal with his legion of payments he owed. Good grief.
The reason they wanted you to call is because corporate doesn't listen to anything employees have to say.
Story 4: never ask a idiot how they caused it. They either make things up or they ll have no idea how it happened in the first place
The server story has me wondering; if they called the next morning from Christmas Eve, e we old there have even been someone to pick up on Christmas Day?🤔
Unfortunately, more places are open on Christmas Day nowadays, not just 7-11 stores and Chinese restaurants the way it used to be.
My theory on how Spectaculoid got out of the driver seat is that he used the passenger side door. It's not that hard to climb over a gear shift.
Granddad always told me "Common sense isn't all that common."
Story 4: are there workplaces that give 2 week notices for firing someone? Usually people leave same day. The rest of the story is nuts too, but that’s beyond explanation
Why wasn’t the car confiscated until the truck and storage were paid for?
i bet you Spectaculid didnt want to use truck to move into new home. he wanted to make the moving truck his new home. he somehow wedged it in between the buildings. thinking it would be impossible for them to get it out.
How and why was that guy from the last story not arrested with charges?
Story 3: What restaurant did these people eat at?
Story 2 - Some people are just too frick’n stupid.
Story 2: That guy was just STUPID.

My knowledge of cars and similar vehicles barely extends beyond when one is upside down or not, and even i would know that the vehicle not starting is enough for RSA to come out.
Spectaculoid: “My goals are beyond your understanding”
For the last story something tells me his stuff will end up on auction.
Waitress- that sounds like she wanted to get fired.
@3:30 that's how we used to get rid of used cat litter
