- For this episode of Rhythm Roulette, we linked up with Stro Elliot. Stro is best known for his work as one half of the duo The Procussions, as well as his prolific career as a solo beatmaker. His beats blend classic hip hop and soul samples with hard hitting percussions. He's worked with Soulection and will be releasing an instrumental album via House Shoes' Street Corner Music imprint later this year.

So I just got finished watching the Jimmy Fallon episode with Dave Chappelle. And I noticed a dude that looked familiar playing with the Roots. I thought to myself: Yo, that looks like the dude from Rhythm Roulette playing with the Roots!
I did a quick Google search and realized that Stro Elliot is now a member of the ROOTS. Congrats on the new gig.
With drum technique and keys like that the samples are almost irrelevant. One of the more musical Rhythm Roulettes I've seen. Dope!

Taking nothing away from 9th Wonder, but that track from 4:00-5:56 bodied every other producer that ever come on Rhythm Roulette. Stro Elliott is a musician in every sense of the word

Probably the best drum work I've seen on an MPC firsthand. He's definitely a full-blown musician
that's not an MPC, but to your main point, yes...his drum game is absolutely ridiculous.
That's an Ableton Push 2 not an MPC, but you're right. Drum programming as it's called by some is not easy.
