    Did this yesterday, it’s a proper fair weather ride! Most of the stuff at the start is unrideable for mud at the minute and paths are blocked for fallen trees.
    The rest of it from Stainburn was great though, well worth it.. it’s a good leg spinner being local to me👍🏻
    Looking forward to going back in fairer weather.

    Total FILTH, love it, the DPX2 is an absolute amazing shock, having had the X2 prior I can say that the aforementioned is the superior shock, great choice and another fabulous video.

    Had a ride down stainburn forrest the other day trail where brilliant but they weren’t suited for my beginner level trek marlin 7 😂

    • @TrailFinder
      @TrailFinder  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      MTB Central keep at it bud. Because if you can ride stainburn you can ride anywhere. I learnt my skills there as a beginner.

      Out of interest have you been to Sherwood Pines on your Marlin 7?
      I went on my Marlin 5 and the only things hindering me was my lack of fitness and skill level.

    Hiya, me again :-) the film cuts on the red run to the cut through you take, is that cut through at the bottom of the long red run as was following where you were until the film changed :-(

    • @TrailFinder
      @TrailFinder  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s correct. When the trail goes back up turn right.

  • @baznap
    @baznap 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Tried to follow this route yesterday 25/04/21 and i think in the 2 years since making this vid the terrain has changed alot, more trees have fallen and route not easy to follow. My garmin ended up having a hissy and took me back the carpark lol so i went and did the 2 mile red route. which was really good tbh.

    • @TrailFinder
      @TrailFinder  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah that 1st forest section is completely unridable now. You should have just gone to the bottom of the descent line and picked up the ride from there

    • @baznap
      @baznap 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TrailFinder I think its worth doing again one time and missing the first bit like you say, its a 2 hour drive for me but then most places are so that's not a problem! Thanks for the response, at least i now know it want just me been a tit lol

    • @TrailFinder
      @TrailFinder  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ha ha. No Barry you weren’t been a tit. I may actually redo this ride and start it at a better place. Maybe the carpark where the official trails start. 😁

    Excellent video as always mate, any idea about how this ride fares in the winter in terms of slop?

    • @TrailFinder
      @TrailFinder  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Up on the moors section it could be a little boggy in places. But I would say this is a ride that could be done all year.

    • @TrailFinder
      @TrailFinder  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have yes. All ride data is in the description for all my vids. This actual ride is unridable from the beginning now. So start it from Norwood edge carpark which is where the official trails start at Stainburn

    Hi, great vid! I did this ride today and it was really fun, I did however notice that a section of the trail through the farm just before the reservoir has signs saying private road no access. Do you know if this is legit or not? maybe it's something new.

    • @TrailFinder
      @TrailFinder  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Sam. I didn’t notice. This ride I didn’t plan it. My friend took me on it. Usually I make sure everything is ok. On checking the map. Looks like it’s a permissive path. If you do this ride again there is a bridal way to the left when you come out of the farm. Runs more or less parallel with the path

      I need to do this ride and Gpx again and start it at the main carpark at stainburn. Saw all the trees down the other day. A few people have done this ride and said the same.
