- Hi all. Here is my 1929 Cat Sixty pulling a five bottom John Deere 66 plow. These are 16" bottoms, and the Sixty is happy to pull them in second gear. The engine runs at 650 RPM wide open.
This is the first real load I had put on the engine since I'd went through it last winter. I'm real happy with how it runs and looks.
The intake and exhaust manifolds were in real bad shape when I started. I was able to salvage the exhaust manifold by making it into a dual setup. The intake was so bad I decided to build a new manifold from scratch.

Wow man, it moves pretty quick despite being old
We pulled a 5-16 plow with Dad's 1936 RD6 three cylinder back in the 50's on our North Central KS farm. It pulled an additional 2-16 in its younger years but was getting tired so eliminated the extra two bottoms. Thirty gallons of diesel would last a long day.

I got my 60 running about a month ago. So far I’ve powered a crusher and hope to go to a plow day with it in a week.
Get rid of all the more modern machinery in the background and you wouldn’t be able to tell what era this video was taken! The dog in the frame of the end is a total Norman Rockwell moment! Great video cool machine
