Glad someone calls out Myles Turner and his lack of rebounding.
I lost my mind early when nobody in blue and gold could find it in themselves to do anything but bend at the waist to secure a loose ball on the court. Hockey was entertaining

Man, Kent that was tough to watch last night. Never seen a team give up with a whole quarter left to play. Carlyle looks like he is gift wrapping this series for his former team. I know he isn't but it sure seems like it with some of his decisions.
also hated how the coach gave up with 5 mins left. even when we knocked it down to 13 with like 3 mons left. it's a game, few stops few shots.
I've never watched an NBA team throw in the towel with 10 minutes left in a playoff game before last night. I can't support a team that just lays down and dies.

Titans sweeping the colts no doubt
Some of Myles' struggles were on Rick. Myles is not a post player, but we repeatedly tried to put him down there. He's a Pick N Pop guy who can cut to the basket effectively. What's worse is that posting him up disrupts the flow of our offense. Is Rick ok, bc he's had some headscratchers recently...
It looks like Rick is gift wrapping this series for his former team. Waving the white flag with a whole quarter remaining. Taking Myles out when he started hitting his shots in the third. Puzzling?
I disagree. If Myles has Holiday are one of the other small guards he absolutely should be in the post. He can hit a turnaround in the post. The problems happen when he tries to put it on the floor
@@gregh3030 Agreed, if he just goes up with the shot, but Myles forgets that not only can he not dribble well, but Jrue Holiday is one of the best damn defenders in the world and will easily steal the ball. But even then, I trust Myles more at the top of key shooting than on either block. He was literally the best top of the key 3pt shooter in the league this season.
Putting party above country is def more of a thing these days, and I say that’s a bad thing. Tyrese if healthy should play on at least one Olympic team and put his country above some smaller org.
Kent, I question the officiating that took place in Boston. The Pacers only had 3 free throws in regulation in game #1? I didn't track that stat in game #2. 3 FREE THROWS!? Come on!

The Pacers lack an enforcer in the middle. Back in the 90’s, that was the Davis boys and Smits. Now, they don’t really have anyone. Unfortunately, a guy like Zach Edey probably won’t be around when the Pacers pick this year. I know, he doesn’t “fit” the offense or play style. They don’t need his offense, they need him to rebound the ball and to send back shots. I can’t count how many times other teams have gone over the backs of Turner/Jackson to grab boards. Another reason they need an enforcer is the sad reality the Pacers will never get a friendly whistle, especially in the playoffs.
IDK if that would fit our system. Maybe if we were more of a half court team

I am the biggest Myles critic but last night it was not on him. The Pacers need to learn how to play winning basketball. Pascal was rolling!!!!! Then Rick took him out. Head scratcher. Then when they put him back in he wasn’t given the ball in the mid post. Nesmith decided he he would put his head down and barreled over people. I’m aging myself here but what happened to riding the hot hand like the pistons would ride the microwave Vinny Johnson. That is winning basketball. No egos! Miles, under the basket, ball goes up, miles turns to run on D the ball lands right were miles was standing, miles was 1 damn step away with his back to the ball. I felt like the pacers are just happy to be here, cause I saw very little fight last night. the rebounding was so pethetic. Celtics arnt even trying to rebound and yet dominate the boards? WTF
Turner doesn't play well when he gets in foul trouble. Isaiah Jackson didn't come in and light up Boston with rebounds either. The Pacers season is over now. Haliburton is the engine of this team. We've seen this team play without him in the past. The pace slows down and the Pacers team isn't talented enough to play at a slow pace. At this point I think they need to give Jarace Walker some run in this series. It's time to get better for next year. They don't have a lot of film on Jarace and maybe he could match up better on Jaylen Brown.
That is a big ask for Walker. Turner playing poorly is way too frequent an occurrence.
@@KentSterling They also wouldn't be where they are now without him. His problem has more to do with the team defense because he's always out of position to block a shot. If the Pacers " Haliburton" could do a better job of staying in front of their man then he might be in a better rebounding position. Even then he's always hunting that blocked shot.
