I'm starting to think Steichen thinks he doesn't have to answer to the media, at all. And certainly not to the fans. That won't play well here. He hasn't been a picture of perfection, that's for damn sure. He hasn't reached arrogant status yet, and how can he with some of that play-calling. He was thoroughly outcoached by LaFleur but probably doesn't think he was. He always says, "We have to clean that up and that starts with me", it's starting to become a broken record and his patented line during pressers. Well Shane, not only does it begin with you, you are the one at fault for many mindless play-calls, so yeah, it's not Jim Bob, it's YOUR in-game decision-making.

Another thing to remember about Peyton is that he came into the league as a very experienced, Heisman Trophy level QB. Richardson had no such lengthy game record. So if a guy like that can take a whole year to get acclimated, you know damned well that it's apt to take AR AT LEAST that long.

    • @Vevay1961

That dog ain't gonna hunt. AR wasn't nearly the QB Peyton was. AR compensated his lack of accuracy for rushing yards. Peyton didn't have that option and had no choice but had to get better, and in his second year, took a 3-13 Colts team to 13-3. AR isn't the answer, he's a placeholder.

@@KentSterling Yes... he's good a couple of minutes per game. Just like how he was crap against the Rams until the last quarter. And last week. Maybe we can get the NFL to reduce games from down to 5 minutes and then AR has a shot at looking competent. If we can just get his occasional "good" plays during that 5 minute game.
