I love this style of pure FM playing, it’s how we all started many years ago on Championship Manager 92/93. Looking forward to this years series and will watch where I can 🎉🎉
Yep. I was a long time member of the Llamas in The Hut. back before the game made it possible to really manage realistically. I haven't done a LLM save in a while, so I'm doing one now thanks to Kevin's inspiration.
Tbf he puts out adverts so realistically if you were to get an application from Sam allardyce while managing in non league and you could afford his wages you’d take it 🤷🏻♂️
New to the channel. Watched your beta series with Brighton and enjoy the vids. I REALLY like your LLM rules and am looking forward to your NLL series!!
hopefully i can keep up this year! I fall off somewhere everytime! Also im envious of you being able to make a video and upload it within an hour, would take me long than that just to upload it so your internet speed must be incredible!
I've been watching your videos ever since I found your non league to legend for fm 23, I must say I find the rules you follow very interesting, I'm going to use the same rules in mine from now on.👍
I'm doing my own NLTL style game again this year. Start unemployed on the lowest experience/badges and see where it takes me. First time doing it last year and loved it. Went Banbridge, Portadown, Northern Ireland, Hibs, Bayer Leverkusen.
Love these rules. Want a more realistic game myself. Will copy them all but the one change I will make is I will download any mods that make the game even harder and I'll download lower leagues so I can start even lower.
I’ve been managing Torquay United on the beta version. Got promoted via the playoffs after the first season. Think I’m gonna stick with it though, rather than start again once the full game drops. Looking forward to following your Tamworth save.
So happy Non-league to legend is back. I won't lie I tend to loose interest when you get to the big clubs at the end but the non-league stuff at the start is always entertaining to watch.
I am starting off with Malaga FC with the intention of going long term, but after watching this video I like the idea of realism in terms of staff additions, job offers etc sound great! I’ve never been one to master training so maybe it’s term to learn instead of training schedules from else where
definitely a fan of the rules for the most part (I feel you have moved the goalpost for one reason or another as to when to end the series), been following them, to some extent, for years now. One change: I start unemployed, and wait for an interview/go on "vacation" to start the game. Last year I got a job in November. Also, don't take house hunting into account (really need to find a mortgage calculator to use, but I can't find a good one). Can't wait.
@lullujo I play every year the same rules, only caveat is that I have moved my league to be the north this time cause I've moved to Australia. (Used the Beta to manage my local team here). Looking forward to the series albeit it I'll be watching in the morning here 😊
Absolutely buzzing for this... I love the first part of this series but I get too attached to the club and the many seasons you spend there. When you left Leamington I was devastated as that was when you were going to finally get up after all the heartache Don't break my heart too earlier Kev 🤣 keep smashing it as always
new to FM having only played last year so this will be the first time I watch NLTL as it releases. not sure on the team i am going to choose but it will probably be around league one/two
I've been managing Weymouth (my local lowest playable) throughout the beta. Back to back promotions from VNS to a mid-table finish in League Two. Not doing too bad.
when it comes to the player search, you should only use the player search screen until the filter of players you have scouted but make the rule that obviously if you haven't scouted them within the last 6 months to a year, you have to rescout them.
This year I’ll be playing along and starting with Havant and Waterlooville, just checked and they are currently still bottom of the National South…. Should be interesting
I wil simulate 10 years in to the future and then find an interesting club to rebuild in the future, I find the challenge of not knowing any new gens really fun
Been watching since the St Albans series as they are my local team, been so many good moments but nothing will top Kev's Dortmund team being handed the Bundesliga trophy only for Bayern to score in their game during the trophy presentation and they actually ended up being crowned champions with Kev's team demoted to 2nd!
It's a fun save idea that is best played in England, because no other country, except Spain maybe, has a similar league depth in the game. All that being said, I found out that the team closest to me would be Dover Athletic and I'm keeping that in mind for my next save, once I'm tired of my current Early Access save.
Do love this series! Has to be the best FM series on TH-cam for sure.. i will be waiting for the Lower League Database to be released and start as Squires Gate NW Counties League like I do every year and work my way up!
i just had an idea for a non-league to legend video. once the series is done i think it would be interesting to have a route around in the editor to look at the potential ability of players you've managed to see if they matched up to your opinion of them at the time.
Just doing the NLTL maths for what team I'm starting with in Sheffield. I normally only manage teams my wife okays so we tend to end up at the seaside.
I have been finding llm quite easy in the beta already up to league 1 in 4 seasons 5th season will be first in league 1 started as Blythe not had a single job offer which is a surprise looking forward to you take on it
Already started on mine with Scunthorpe thankfully won the national north title now not far off the national league title however currently have a bank balance of minus 1.2 million so not going well may have to find a league 1 or 2 club that has that bit more cash
At some point I'll try this. I've tried my own variation before (I have a long term objective to try and get my local team to the Premier League...and now I can transfer saves I don't have the excuse of "Well the new FM is out now, I can't be playing the old one"
Awesome preview episode Kev, really looking forward to NLTL this year. I will start with Tamworth the same than you, as last year I started with Alfreton. Something I was wondering is, what kind of manager certificate and previous football experience do you play with? Also, will you play with the original FM mode, or with the real world one?
I'm going to be using Torquay, from a team that were in league 1 have slowly declined and they need a new fresh input to get them back up to the football league
I think your next year's NLTL starting club would be... Banbury United (unless they got relegated from National League North or some club closer to your home was promoted to that level).
Realism is good, but i think some people forget the reason behind the realism, like why some clubs operate the way they do and it is mostly to do with money. The reason why their is a such a gap in terms of quality between the prem and the championship is because of money which everyone knows. If you sell a wonderkid that came through your academy for 5m, it is okay to reinvest that money by upgrading facilities which most players do but it is also okay to take that money and try to buy a player you might not have known about since you can increase your scouting budget and have a broader range.
Last year in NLTL I went from little Athlone Town all the way to Union Berlin and won the Champions League multiple times. FC Bayern offered to hire me but they actually offered me less money and we were beating them in the league so ultimately I spent almost a decade at Union Berlin. The Bundesliga ended up above the Premier League in rank, though the league itself always ended up with less money than the Premier League. Wonder where this year will take me.
I love this style of pure FM playing, it’s how we all started many years ago on Championship Manager 92/93. Looking forward to this years series and will watch where I can 🎉🎉
"how we all started many years ago on Championship Manager 92/93"
I think significant part of the player base wasn't even born then, lol.
@@sangwiny4440doesn't mean they didn't start @ cm 92/93. I think that's the version I started on but was in like 98/99
🤷🤷🤷
Yep. I was a long time member of the Llamas in The Hut. back before the game made it possible to really manage realistically. I haven't done a LLM save in a while, so I'm doing one now thanks to Kevin's inspiration.
Why Kev thinks we watch NLTL: Story
Why we really watch NLTL: Chairs
Watch him hire a nearly 80 year old Sam allardyce as a scout for realism reasons sign more older players like a Phil jagielka
Tbf he puts out adverts so realistically if you were to get an application from Sam allardyce while managing in non league and you could afford his wages you’d take it 🤷🏻♂️
@@ThorneofAbyss yeah just imagine Sam turns up at his club asks for £600 per week to scout and tells you to play 4-4-2 long ball
@@declangaming24 he’d probably do it for a pint of gravy after every training session
@@ThorneofAbyss watch Sam turns up for a KFC bargain bucket every week
Loving the NLTL series .. been eagerly awaiting this year's
New to the channel. Watched your beta series with Brighton and enjoy the vids. I REALLY like your LLM rules and am looking forward to your NLL series!!
i saw tamworth and you got me clicking . keep up the good the good work
hopefully i can keep up this year! I fall off somewhere everytime!
Also im envious of you being able to make a video and upload it within an hour, would take me long than that just to upload it so your internet speed must be incredible!
I do this anyway when I play the game, good for you, subscribed.
My hometown!! Been waiting for this day for years
Always love the NLTL series and always play along using the rules. Is the best FM series on TH-cam
Some of this is proper “old man yells at sky” vibes but that’s why it’s entertaining. Looking forward to watching
This is going to be so much fun! I'm looking forward to every video coming up.
Here we go another year! Let's go
I've been watching your videos ever since I found your non league to legend for fm 23, I must say I find the rules you follow very interesting, I'm going to use the same rules in mine from now on.👍

Amazing 💟
So pleased to see my hometown getting the non-league to legend job 🎉
Looking forward to tomorrow, both for the game itself and the start of NLTL. I'll be starting my own version with Truro City.
I'm starting one to but need to find out which team is closest to my house
GOOD LUCK 🎉
Love these rules. Want a more realistic game myself. Will copy them all but the one change I will make is I will download any mods that make the game even harder and I'll download lower leagues so I can start even lower.
Ahhh the first one I actually catch right from the start!
Let's see which players I can steal from Kev in my save later in the year hahahah
I’ve been managing Torquay United on the beta version. Got promoted via the playoffs after the first season. Think I’m gonna stick with it though, rather than start again once the full game drops.
Looking forward to following your Tamworth save.
I'm new to non-league to legend, so I appreciate the explainer. Sounds like a fun concept.
Come on you lambs! Speaking as a Tamworth fan I’m so excited to get some coverage on TH-cam
You don’t sack staff “Tofer” just did a little jig round his living room (well probably standing on a carrier bag.)
Tamworth are about 30 mins away from where i live. this is going to be an incredible series!!
I love watching NLTL. I'm going to be starting my own journeyman save (different rules to yours Kev) at Truro City.
My favorite fm series vid is here 😂. Also starting with a club close to my house. Let’s go Los Boquerones 💪🏽
First time to the game and to the channels. Cheers mate.
So happy Non-league to legend is back. I won't lie I tend to loose interest when you get to the big clubs at the end but the non-league stuff at the start is always entertaining to watch.
I can't wait to actually be able to watch the inbetweeny bits on Twitch, thanks new work flow
Nice, story is the most important in watching a lets play.
I am starting off with Malaga FC with the intention of going long term, but after watching this video I like the idea of realism in terms of staff additions, job offers etc sound great!

That, good sir, is a snazzy suit.
Can’t wait for this Kev! Will be starting my own NLTL save tonight with Bishop Stortford! 💪🏻
I couldn’t resist and started already with Tamworth I’m in season 5 got them to League 2 but really regret starting it during the BETA 😢😢😢
It’s my second year on the game and I might do one of these probably Alferton
Oh yesssss Kev doing Tamworth COYL
Just started the same with my hometown club, currently top of the league. race you to the champions league
Looking forward to Kev.
This sounds super! I will follow this!
gonna do this style save with my local club warrington town. had a 2 year break from fm so need a challenge.
I'm starting my NLTL with Yeovil Town. Good luck to all.
Absolutely buzzing for this... I love the first part of this series but I get too attached to the club and the many seasons you spend there. When you left Leamington I was devastated as that was when you were going to finally get up after all the heartache

IT'S THAT TIME OF THE YRAR AGAIN, LET'S FUCKING GOOO!
Very excited for this. I’ll be doing the same with the mighty Bishops Stortford this year as they are playable at last.
I've started turning off attributes altogether via the settings. So much better.
Good luck kev can't wait for this roll on 5pm tomorrow
Fm25 delayed until march. So now I'm going to play along :)
Love the series Kevin and I’ve got mine ready for tomorrow, My team will be Chester.
Looking forward to.series. Be continuing the Scarborough Athletic save I've started on beta version.
Looking foward to this playing alongside!
starting my own save. going to bring Clyde in Cinch League 2 in scotland up! my career will be amazing and im gonna comply with all rules 😅
Can’t wait mate!!!
new to FM having only played last year so this will be the first time I watch NLTL as it releases. not sure on the team i am going to choose but it will probably be around league one/two
What about Trialists Kev? Where do you find the players you offer trials to in the past, is this DOF free transfer recommendations or any other way
Buzzing for NLTL Kev!
love you kev
It's FM eve! I've opened my FM eve box, put up my FM decorations and got my FM pyjamas. Now just waiting for Father Miles to visit!
I've been managing Weymouth (my local lowest playable) throughout the beta. Back to back promotions from VNS to a mid-table finish in League Two. Not doing too bad.
it has finally begun!!! let's go
My local team for the annual NLTL save is Farnborough, and not Slough as I erroneously thought for last year 😂
Rule 2# just amazing😳
when it comes to the player search, you should only use the player search screen until the filter of players you have scouted but make the rule that obviously if you haven't scouted them within the last 6 months to a year, you have to rescout them.
lovely time

I wil simulate 10 years in to the future and then find an interesting club to rebuild in the future, I find the challenge of not knowing any new gens really fun
I'll use the same rules in my Bristol save and try to not sign the same players every fm cycle. It's a nice way to play the game and mimic realism
So hyped for this! I'll be managing Torquay United in mine
I've watched along in the past Kev but never actually done it, so here we go.....St Albans it is
Looking forward to another journey!
Here we go!!! Let’s get excited!!!!
Looking forward to it ❗
I was going to start with Scunthorpe United, since I’m in Scotland might start in the lower leagues in the sfl
I’ve watched for a few yrs but always wondered what you do in terms of experience and coaching badges? Do you start with no badges?
Love the suit mate❤❤🇮🇪🇮🇪

Looking forward to it and to the lower league shenanigans that leave you unable to speak!
Looking forward to it!
Just doing the NLTL maths for what team I'm starting with in Sheffield. I normally only manage teams my wife okays so we tend to end up at the seaside.
Congrats Alfreton Town.
Always exciting when a new NLTL starts. The rules make it stand out versus all the other creator saves.
Any rules regarding playable leagues other than the 1 you’re managing in? Or view only leagues etc
This is a great idea. Think closest team to me would be Alfreton town
Cannot wait, Kev Man! Go get 'em!
