Thank you so much for this video. I am lactose intolerant and this is a huge help. Also I was able to find the Chao cheese at Walmart If anyone was looking for anywhere else to find it.
Thank you for sharing products! My son can’t have dairy and I’m struggling to find products without going in grocery stores and just doing pick up these days. Can’t wait to try some of these!
You’re welcome! Eliminating allergens with kids is tricky! I also recommend checking out this older video that I shared when my second born was going through it! It has a lot of kid friendly products. th-cam.com/video/5Lfnijrx1oI/w-d-xo.html
Thank you so much for this video 🙏🏽 I am two weeks in of no cheese because my newborn is allergic as well and breastfeeding is a must. I feel like you just gave me my life back 😂 I love food 💙
I’m so glad you found this helpful! I’m also a foodie and giving up everything I loved was so hard until I found great alternatives. Wishing you all the best! ❤️
Thank you for sharing this! I am recently just finding out I can’t have dairy and I was feeling overwhelmed with how to get the “tastiest” and best products. I really appreciate your honesty in sharing these! :)
this video is soooo helpful I've used it 3yrs ago and finding myself having to refer back to this video for my new baby who also has a cow milk protein allergy
Hi, I reeeeeeeeeeeeeally like your vid! I have a milk allergy and it's scary for me! I get sick a lot because I don't know what to eat. I will try some of the foods you listed and some I never heard of. Thank you so much! Please make more vids when you find more foods that is dairy-free.
We recently found out my daughter has had a milk intolerance (mild) and are switching to dairy free. This has been such a challenge since she’s only one and a half and goes to daycare, so finding foods that they can feed her is always difficult! This made me feel like there are so many more store-bought options than I found previously. Thank you so much for this video! Off to the store I go!
Okay okay the coffee creamer too?! You are seriously helping me sooo much! I used to be dairy free and just suffer because I couldn't find anything when I was younger, and now I've finally convinced my boyfriend we need to stop dairy together (im lactose intolerant and he recently found out he is as well) and we have been having such a hard time finding anything!!
Thank you for this! I've been lactose intolerant/dairy free for a couple years. I've been enjoying many of the things you showed, but now have some new things to look for. Can't wait to have frozen waffles again!
Double check the ingredients cause the coffee creamer I used to use claims to be dairy free, but had a milk byproduct in it that candy still have some lactose. No clue how they can get away with that 🤦♀️
thank you sooo much for doing this video. I'm going grocery shopping tomorrow! My goal is to continue nursing my daughter so I will completely change my diet to see if it makes a difference. 😍
We are also starting the switch to dairy free as my two month old is showing symptoms of CMPI😭 We're working on it and your video is very helpful as this is quite intimidating for me, because I do eat tons of dairy products!
I’m sorry your dealing with this but I’m glad you found the video helpful! It’s a stressful transition at first but it gets easier! Good luck to you are your baby!
Thanks for the info! I just found my baby that is in the NICU is having to go dairy free. So since she's getting breast milk that means I get to go dairy free as well.
Thank you for sharing. I’m deathly allergic to all dairy products and I love watching cooking videos but it’s so frustrating when they’re loaded with dairy or are vegan…which I am not. I will let you know that if your daughter’s allergy is protein based, breads are normally fine even if they do have milk as they are baked at a high enough temp that the proteins change in the high heat and no longer affect those who are allergic. I’m looking forward to seeing more of your videos.
Thank you for watching Willow! And yes - we’ve found that baked milk is ok with her 👏🏻👏🏻 I’m sorry hear you about your allergy. I agree it can be hard to find resources to resonate with!
There were many signs, including extreme fussiness, loose mucousy diapers, very hard belly, reflux and much more. Symptoms will vary depending on the severity but I outlined our experiences in this video; th-cam.com/video/YU3LJPVfx2M/w-d-xo.htmlsi=FyEhAGhzMz8QFHyy
My 2.5 year old son is highly allergic to eggs and dairy! This video was so encouraging and gives us hope he will outgrow his allergies too. Curious, did you do anything in particular to help your kids outgrow their allergies and also did they ever get tested? Wondering if the level matter or is telling if a child will outgrow an allergy
I'm so glad you found it helpful! We had my second child tested and his scratch test popped for egg (slightly) but nothing else! They therefore classified it as a GI intolerance and not an allergy. As for what we did.. we just waited it out! I downloaded the "milk ladder" and once they were a year old I started at the bottom with baked milk and tried to work my way up. But it took a while and was very obvious when they weren't ready (extra gassy, diarrhea, very fussy). My son was 2.5 before he was completely ok with straight dairy and closer to 3 for gluten. My daughter outgrew her diary intolerance by 16 months. Best of luck to you!!
My baby brother is, similar to your daughter, allergic to a protein In milk. so I want to help my mom out by watching these! Thank you for this video! Edit: ah man, my baby brother ( and my mom ) can’t have anything made With the same machinery as milk… but, I’m glad you can! My brother gets hives, but if we hadn’t realized the reasoning for them, And kept feeding him milk, he might have gone into anaphylaxis..
Hi there! Thank you for these information. My daughter has some intolerance but it isn’t only dairy and I don’t know what else. How did you know which intolerance had your kids? Thank you
Thanks for watching! I’m glad you found it helpful. The best way to narrow down the intolerances is to do an elimination diet. Start with just dairy, remove that from your diet for 2 or so weeks and see if there’s any improvement. If no, I’d suggest elimination soy as well as the dairy. If that doesn’t do the trick, I’d try egg or gluten next. It’s a long process but eliminating one thing at a time is the best route! Wishing you all the best! Brittany
I was a vegetarian for 3.5 years (April 2017-September 2020). I am trying to go diary free. I do consume meat again but I limit which meats I eat and I don’t eat meat often. I eat meat maybe 3 times or less a week. Some of my nondairy staples are; non dairy coffee creamer, vegan butter, vegan cheese, vegan yogurt, vegan salad dressings and unsweetened original soy or almond milk. I want to completely cut diary out means I also don’t want to eat anything that contains dairy in the ingredients list. I have a sensitivity to diary since I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis back in October of 2014.
Thanks for the Dairy Free video. However did you know that Coffee Mate liquid is dairy free? It is better than using the nut based milks for coffee flavor.
Thanks so much for watching! Coffee Mate (which I LOVE!) claims to be “non-dairy” but it contains casein, which is a milk derivative. Many people who are dairy sensitive can tolerate it but since it was my infant in question I didn’t want to chance it! However now that she’s pushing a year old, we’ve started reintroducing dairy and it’s going well!
Hi. We just found out at 4 months that our boy has a soy and milk protein intolerance. Did you find it helpful to rule out pea protein as well? many products are now soy free but they replace the soy with pea protein. Thank you!
@@keya2325 soy free is hard! I sympathize with you! We were a soy free house for nearly 2 years with my middle child and that is by far the hardest to avoid :/
Extreme fussiness, gas, hard tummy, watery diapers, etc. I have a full video of our signs and experience! th-cam.com/video/YU3LJPVfx2M/w-d-xo.htmlsi=BUdo7NSLGO8xPzye
Yes! CHAO cheese is dairy free and is quite tasty! It even melts! Daiya cheese is also vegan / dairy free but I don’t care for it as much. Best of luck to you!!
I was able to see the signs very early as I went through it with my second child but most often babies will have extreme fussiness, very hard tummies, very loose poops (often green, abnormally smelly and mucousy) and there may be visible blood in their diapers. Pediatricians can also run a guaiac test on a dirty diaper to see if blood is present - that’s how we diagnosed it with Riley. Soy proteins are very similar to milk protein so that could also be the culprit. Either way most babies outgrow these sensitivities within the first year or so. Good luck to you and your little one!
I want you to know that you can microwave any potato, You just need to put it under water, and stab it with a fork all over. That way it won’t cost so much for a potato wrapped in plastic. Unless that doesn’t work for you, somehow.
I'll have to try it! I used to microwave them years and years ago but I started buying the sealed ones because they only take 7 minutes! I'll definitely try the way you suggested though because you definitely pay a mark up for the pre-wrapped ones at the store. Thank you!
@@TheModernJuggle No problem! These ones take just about as much time, But you might want to add more water, and flip them, halfway through! And, you can do more than one. There are some TH-cam videos About, I’m sure.
Thank you so much for this video. I am lactose intolerant and this is a huge help. Also I was able to find the Chao cheese at Walmart If anyone was looking for anywhere else to find it.
