@@Keltick Yo just got into smite Thanks for the champ references in each role...I make music videos for games gamers and small streamers. Lmk if i can show u like 2 mnutes of my work sometime...would love to do a smite one and help out any way i can! :) - GuitArthur
Just started playing last night. Been wanting to get into Smite for a while now and figured with this plague going around, no better time than now. These vids are a big help
This is an old post but I liked how simple and clearly the classes were explained. I have a new friend who I met at my dads Christmas party and he plays in smite tournament league. Im on vaca now but I'll be home in a few days and cant wait to play. Im gonna use the assassin class first, that type of character has worked good for me in games prior to this.
Thought I'd turn on some tutorials while waiting for my game to download. I just wanted to thank you for your clear and concise videos! I can't wait to jump in and start playing
In my opinion, Ratatoskr is one of the best Assassins for new players. He has decent build flexibility and has a kit that is simple but effective for a Jungler (CC and Projectile, Dash, AoE clear tool) and his ultimate especially promotes ganking or quick rotations
For new junglers Rat is definitely a good option to consider! However this video is not covering conquest, and the gods I recommend for conquest roles will differ to what new players should be playing when they start in conquest. There will be overlap of course, but gods that clear camps faster early in conquest are going to differ from what gods can survive and help new players learn in arena :)
Just started playing today and im a newbie xD im using hachimen, Ra and nemesis. im emjoying the game atm playing on conquest normal (not coop). even tho im always losing to AI im not sure if im really playing with an AI because they are not replying to my chat or defending the base xD
Welcome to the game! As I said in the video I would recommend conquest until you get a better handle on the controls. But if want to dive into conquest there are 3 places for you! 1. Normal: normal is PvP conquest, and you will be fighting other players. Choose a role and do your best! 2. Co-op: co-op is Players versus AI, you and 4 other humans will fight the robots. 3. Training: Training is just you and a bunch of bots. You and 4 bots vs 5 bots that is. Hope this helps steer you in the right direction!!
Hey, so I have a bunch of questions and I have looked on Reddit but not found the answer clear enough. You have all these gods to choose from and I have to unlock, so is the Ultimate God Pack a complete and total unlock of all gods forever and it says I even get all future gods? If so, what is the point of the Season pass? I want to check out your recommended characters, so I either save up the coins or just spend a bit to get them all. I played as Pele and really enjoyed her kit.
The ultimate god pack gets you all current, and future gods, as a permanent unlock. The Season pass, as I understand it, gives you all the gods that are added to the game in season 7, along with some exclusive skins. Hope this helps!
@@Keltick Thank you so much for the answer! My big choice now is whether to unlock on PC or PS4... my son likes this game and he uses console. I guess we both want to use this game and I hope I can play with him (me on PC and he on the console).
Smite is cross platform. So both you are your son would be able to play together even if you’re not on the same platform. You would each need your own Hi-Rez account though!
One thing you should probably mention is that there ARE exceptions to the classic class system. i.e. there are some gods that don't quite fit their class perfectly. Like how Zhong Kui is more of a bruiser mage and how Cabrakan is more commonly played as an Assassin. I also wouldn't recommend Zeus for a beginner, at least not if they want to use him outside Arena. I tried him in casual Conquest sometime ago. Never really played him before and died quite a bit. He is tricky due to how immobile he is. Personally I liked Scylla when I first started playing and still like her a lot. I am not even that good with her, but she feels very straightforward and streamlined.
I was planning on going into more detail on those exceptions when I get to conquest because explaining that solo builds bruiser is easier than trying to explain what gods break the mould. I do get where you’re coming from though
I'm starting off and one god I've already mastered is Guan Yu, I like his steady damage and dash/ heal combos to push or fall back. One thing I'm struggling with is building him tho. I take way to long to build at start, and finding items people recommend to build takes time away from the game. Any suggestions to ease into manual buy?
For Guan Yu building defense is key. The core build I like is Warrior Tabi, Caduceus Shield, and breastplate of valor. Last 3 items depend on how the game goes, but items like Genji’s guard, Shogun’s Kusari and spirit robe are all great! Just look to deal with whoever is the biggest problem on the enemy team with items
idk if this tip will be helpful but what i do from the moment both teams lock their gods is to check what the enemy team comp is.. how many mages/ tanks/ physical atk gods/ what abilities they have if they do alot of CC then process the amount of defense you will have to build or items to counter the enemy comp it gives you plenty of time while loading screen is up so what im saying is to use the time you get before the actual match starts to have an idea of what you are going to build.
I agree that anhur can be a good starting hunter, despite the learning curve, but would rather recommend artemis/neith/cupid/Rama/Apollo instead of chiron/hachiman. Those two are just such different hunters imo, with some weird mechanics. As for supports, u don't recommend Ymir?
Neith is very good for new players. She is getting some buffs next patch that I think will help her out in all areas of play but to answer your question, she can be. If you like playing her definitely a viable pick unless you are in the top top top % of conquest lol
Lol, I'm just starting out . I don't think I'll be that viable to be a viable top player now but maybe in the future . Oh, that is good . I love using Neith , I was waiting for something viable .
Everything is viable. Obviously the strength of gods overall is going to fall into a bell curve, but if you have fun playing a character you play that character :)
Going to have to disagree with you there. Loki is very mechanics heavy, and really only gets to eliminate people easily once people understand how to string abilities together and have slight knowledge into auto-canceling. For brand new players that are still getting used to how to fire abilities, and how interactions in the game work, Loki is going to be a little overwhelming. I do hope the Loki rework makes Loki a little more beginner friendly though, many new players will gravitate towards such a familiar name.
Your Voice is so clear and you get right to the Topic. On top of that Great Guide. Keep it UP !!!!!!
Much appreciated! Thank you for the support!

quality content. thanks!
I think Anhur is a little too hard for newer players, because of his combo. Other than that wish I had this guide when I started.
Combo aside Anhur a character who can clear the wave easily and is safe with both a CC immune ult and leap.
That’s primarily why he makes my list :)

bro I started right off with Skadi. lmao

Glad you enjoyed it!

Something tells me you play guardians alot
I play everything a lot! I just checked because you got me curious, and it turns out Guardians are my least played class!
Hes making monsters with the people he tryna get them to play bro your making pros!!
First step to being a pro is understanding the basics :)
For beginners, Loki is the best character to frag(killing enemies gods) with. Trust me

Keltick I’m trolling 😂
gotta set the record straight :P the last thing we need is more Loki players running around!!!!
