The complexity of the game makes a lot of new players either quit or they play just arena and never try anything else due to the toxicity and flame you get for not immediately knowing what to do and be perfect at it
I only play arena cuz I'm a old paragon player, I was forced here, in paragon I didn't like the 1st map they had us playing it was huge like smite map, I enjoyed the map that was left when they closed the game down. I don't like the size of smite Conquest.

I play a lot of HOTS, which is another MOBA, and wanted to play a third person or first person game to take a break from HOTS, and I realized that Smite existed and was a third person MOBA. However I got super overwhelmed by everything, and so I am very thankful for your guide, it helped a lot.

Awesome video I was one of those players just rushing in and getting my ass handed to me . I wish I had watched a video like this back in the day would have saved me head aches and hateful messages from angry teammates blaming me for losses.

If you have paddles or a Scuf controller don’t change the button layout. I’m getting into it and I have no issues however I never have to move my right thumb off the right stick to press an ability so if you don’t have paddles that is great advice 🙏🏻

Its actually fairly simple, when you win matches you gain a currency called "favour". You can use this to buy or rent a god. When you buy the god you can play them in any match forever. You own them and can earn "worshippers" on them which act like masteries. If you dont own the god you can rent them to try them out for 500 favour. When renting you dont earn worshippers ( I dont think)
I'm on ps5... I need help with these things: 1. I'm playing arena... My first couple game when I started, I could simply press the attack buttons to do my powers... Now a few games in I have to press L1 and each attack button at the beginning of the match so they can be highlighted again in order to be able to attack 2. I was killing gods at a decent pace my first couple games, but now it seemed as if I get absolutely destroyed... And I think this is still the computer I'm playing against in arena... Am I missing something? Is there something I have to level up or equip? 3. How do I see my player level and what level must i reach in arena before I start playing against human players?

....why did you accept match as new player before practising with bots in Jungle mode? Literally walk in and click everything so you can learn. Would you drive a car without getting driving licence , then have a sook at the driving instructor cause " he assumed you know what he's talking about". That's why the guy who made this video didn't respond to you, you aren't tryna learn here, just to whine, instead of doing research.
I too have many years of experience with different mobas but am new to Smite. I don't think autobuy/autorank should be your first point in thid beginner video. Player shouldn't try to optimise their builds right away, wtf ? I'm sure it does not make that much of a difference when you play in such low level..
It's to encourage them to read up on the items and learn. This is a learning guide. Plus if you have " many " years in moba, you would know that, items can be built together into final stage, for example in dota 2 , brown boots, can turn to arcane boots, then healing greaves, one more example from dota 2, get a ring of health, if u buy vitality booster to add to the ring u get a vanguard, then you buy a basher, and a recipe, it becomes an abyssal blade, so if you don't turn of auto buy,.it's gonna keep buying small compartments of different items and never actually finish a full item... so either you are lying.about ' many years' or you spent many years not learning single thing and have continued to remain bad at the game. Many years Lawl.

That's a fair point. All Gods can be earnt with in game currency for free thought, or rented to test them. But point taken 👍

Your elo will be in high fluctuation at the beginning because it doesnt have enough match data to accurately determine where you are at
